Honestly most everything you see came from charismatic creatures. As a young teen I had critters but had to relinquish them due to living situation. Fast forward I’m an adult and never really thought of getting back into the hobby… until I walked inside this local store and my love for it just came back to life. If you want the full support from the moment you get your animals til you no longer need it. Buy from here I got 2 captive tokay siblings and they are now a year and so very healthy and social! Thanks Jose and Candice for doing what y’all do! Recommend 10 out of 10. Not even sugar coating it either. Just my raw experience.

Excellent pet shop for reptile owners. All sorts of cool lizards, turtles, snakes and nick nacks that will make any cold blooded reptile happy. We own fish and I still came away with something for our aquarium

Such an awesome shop! I couldn't believe how many beautiful critters they had there, it was so fun just to look around. The staff were so friendly and helpful and talked to us all about different animals that might make a good starter pet for a 10 year old, and we will definitely be going back when it's time to buy!

I’m the 100th review! That’s pretty sweet.Candice and Jose are the nicest people!They took the time with me to make sure I was completely informed and certain about which reptile friend I was going to take home. They were patient with me and allowed me to take the time I needed to decide. Their customer service is a lost art in this world, and made my day that much better. I feel so happy and greateful to have bought my new baby from their shop, they deserve the business and I wish them the absolute best! Went in for crickets and a new bulb for my leopard geckos heat lamp, was greeted and helped by the owner Jose, he showed my little brother some free roaming lizards and we had a great time! they have a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians if you're looking to adopt a new pet. I liked the layout of the store alot, plenty to look at and ethically sourced animals. They also have some nulo products for dogs, some cat stuff, and dog/cat grooming brushes/supplies! They carry genies CBD drops for dogs as well, I would recommend Charismatic Creatures to everyone!

This reptile shop is such a gem. My family( I have 3 boys) love going just to go look at these amazing creatures. We got a bearded dragon that we just love. The owners of the shop are absolutely incredible. They are so knowledgeable and they don't mind sharing that knowledge with you. I had a million questions and they answered every single one without making me feel silly. Very thankful we found this gem in Ventura.

So far, so good! I called about a specific tarantula I wanted, and Jose told me he didn't have one in stock but would drive to a supplier to get one for me on short notice! The asking price is fair, considering he's willing to go out of his way to get me a young adult female. I asked if he would find me one with a good temperament, and without hesitation, he accepted the challenge! I trust he will provide me with a lifelong friend.

I go here for everything reptile related. It's great, reliable and I actually get the number of feeders I pay for (not like PetSmart/co where I literally bought 50 mealworms and counted 13). Staff is friendly and helpful. Love this place. Can't recommend it enough.

I inherited a baby bratty bearded dragon whom I have named "CHAOS" I Have Been buying his LIVE feeders from here almost exclusively since taking over his care, I am very pleased to see thee amount of compassion & devotion to their scaly, furry, slimy and unique critters as well as the 110% on point customer service for us two legged critters... The understanding & willingness to help/educate new pet guardians as to proper all around care of many species of pets is something lacking in most pet related businesses including rescues/licensed breeders etc.1000% × 10 RECOMMEND CC of VC for all your REPTILE and AMPHIBIAN NEEDS(also carry some furry and feathered pet products as well)

This store is top notch! The employees were so knowledgeable and really took the time to answer all of my questions and recommend products. It is clear by the beautiful enclosures their animals have that they receive exceptional care. It's so refreshing to see a pet store that clearly cares deeply about their animals. I belive in supporting the mom and pop family businesses and this is 1 of them. Cool people great service and I don't think I've ever been told that they are out of crickets like I heard all the time from Petco and Petsmart. They have such a huge collection of exotic reptiles, I can not pick a favorite. All of them are Awesome.

Very passionate and friendly owners. You can tell they know their animals and take the highest care for them. They have a variety of cork log sizes and pieces I haven't seen in petco or petsmart. They will also cut them for you. They have everything you need for your reptiles, hamsters, and more. Theirs so many things that you can't find in the local pet stores. They have many types of reptiles and other small creatures. Support our local business by visiting them and prices are reasonable compared to large retail stores.

Compassionate and helpful folks!I recently came upon an unconscious iguana while on my walk during the heavy rains. I took him in, and after checking him out I decided I was in no shape or form qualified to be caring for him considering I’ve got no experience with reptiles at all.I spent a few hours looking for reptile sanctuaries; all of which unfortunately were closed or overpopulated with reptiles. I was very worried this iguana was on his deathbed- but luckily my sister posted asking for help online, and a dude from charismatic creatures reached out saying he’d take him in!Considering it was on such short notice, they weren’t exactly preparing to take in a potentially very ill iguana, and they had no idea what to really expect; I found it all very kind of them. I do appreciate them taking him in- because I know I never would’ve been able to help him out myself. Plus the stores inside seemed pretty put together and nice too! I’d give 10/5 if I could :]So sorry for only reviewing now; it’s been a few weeks since then and it totally slipped my mind!
