Kim is the best!! She is extremely knowledgeable about all things bird ... what they like and their behaviors are as well. We adopting an indian ringneck parakeet and a plumheaded parakeet from her, and they are both tame and really great birds that are still in training. They can be brats at times, but it comes with the territory. Definitely recommend this place for all your bird needs and for finding a new bird and beginning a bird journey like we have started here!

The major downside to this store is their return policy. Not only do you only get store credit, but you won't be told that the credit expires or when. It's assumes you just know, even as a new customer. I've been to other stores with store credit, but it either never expires or you're told an expiration date.

Best place to purchase birds they really know what they are doing and seem passionate about it too they have everything you can possibly need for a bird most birds there can be handled and are used to it unlike other places such as petsmart and petco over all great experience I love my bird I have had him for over 2 years and he has been an amazing adittion to the family he fits in perfectly and I thank the people that work there that helped me choose the right bird for me and making sure I had everything I needed for him to be happy

I’ve been taking my birds to Kim for almost 20 years. She is totally pro at wing clipping and she has all the best quality bird seed, and accessories. She boards birds too. It’s very convenient and affordable. She takes awesome care of my little feathered friends. She’s the best and I highly recommend Birds and B’s in Ventura.

Birds & B's has the best selection of bird food and toys in the area, great cages, and a friendly knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend visiting! Usually there is a great assortment of birds. I think due to Covid-19 they're not housing many but they're sure to have more when the pandemic ends.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff! I'm new to being a bird mom and when I was asking all the questions I had, I felt that the answers were upfront and honest. I've been looking around different shops and breeders for the perfect fit for me, none of them brought out one of their birds and let me have a hands on experience. Birds & B's was the only place that did this. I now feel 100% confident (ok, maybe like, 98%. But that's because of the person I am, lol.), and I completely fell in love with the little boy I'm bringing home!

I adore this little hole in the wall business! To me it's just enjoying to walk thru and look at all the birds and see personality.The staff are super nice and don't rush.We have a 2 year old female green cheek Conur that we adopted that has a messed up bottom beak. So every month we go in and the take good care of her.There is a real live Tucan there. I have never seen one so close before, but of course don't stick your fingers in there!

I came here on Sunday with two love birds for grooming and I wanted to get their nails and beaks done but instead the lady that was grooming them clipped my birds wings when I said not too and it unfortunately caused one of my babies to fall and break their chest plate and he ended up dying from it. I won’t be going back for grooming here again but I wish there was something they could do because of their actions I am now heartbroken and my other bird is without his brother, his mate.Update: The owner Kim reached out and we were able to talk. She was wonderful and went out her way to make it right. If you ever have an issue she is always willing to talk and help you out. I really appreciate everything she did for me.

Been shopping here since 2004 very friendly staff. Prices are great and Kim is very knowledgeable. I get all my bird supplies and feed from her.. Oh I also bought my cockatiels from Kim. She's takes care of their nails if they need trimming. Also trims Skips beak if it gets to long. I've also boarded my cockatiels there for 2 weeks with out a problem. I would be lost with out Birds & B's.

I am sooo happy with our experience with this bird store! Every person who works here is knowledgeable and friendly, I can’t say enough positive things about them! From the moment we picked out our bird, they have given us excellent service. Tim helped explain to my 6 year old daughter (who wanted to just leave with any old bird) the process of visiting and spending time with him before we could take him home (he was a newborn bird). So we came and visited him repeatedly for two weeks so he’d bond with us before taking him home. He is a wonderful part of our family! It was worth the wait, just as he said it would be, and now we take him here for boarding when we leave town, and for wing and toenail clipping. Kim, Tim and Tiffany have been so nice to help answer questions that come up for follow up care with him such as broken feathers etc. When something happens with your bird and you google it and get way too many answers, having someone to call who knows birds is incredibly helpful for new bird owners! Highly recommend this place if you are considering bringing a bird into your home and staying close to these experts for ongoing care of your feathered friend!

Nice beautiful birds 🦅 comes in various colors and some cages. The place smell though with some odor or rather air seems to be the issue. I nearly bought two birds one day but changed my mind. They have two yellow canary. They seem awesome and are little pricey. The shop keeper is still learning more with birds. Lot of pet goods and toys!

Love this place, been coming here for years, and got both my Goffin cockatoos here 12 years ago! Boarding, grooming, toys, and any supplies you need at a great price for a local shop. My Too loves being boarded here when needed and its a happy environment for him. Kim (the owner) and the others are always super helpful!

Went in for a nail trimming. There was a lot of signage for minimizing crowding which was good. But the staff there seemed like they were just going through the motions. No friendliness, no smiles to new customers, just "working there." Service was $13, cheap but I'd pay the extra $10 elsewhere so the person cutting my bird's nails didn't look angry and overwhelmed. Not sure if it was just them or an operations issue but other options out there are worth the extra few bucks.

I went there with my grandparents looking to purchase one cocktail Kim was very polite and knowledgeable about the birds I ended up getting two I just want to thank Kim they are doing well and I am happy to say the have found there forever home I highly recommend coming to BIRDS AND B’S

If you love birds, this is your spot. The folks here really know they're feathered friends, they have a lovely and healthy assortment of birds looking for homes and carry everything from food to cages. Boarding and grooming are also available in shop, be sure to visit them for your birds needs.

I purchased a dove from here and she is the best bird I have ever had. I learned so much from this shop, they are truley passionate. They could even tell me the age of the bird and sorted them according to it! Even the love birds were sorted from 1 year to 6 months. The birds sell fast and are all young enough for you to make an impression on to have the best pet you've ever had!

I had no choice but to pick one star so that it would let me post a review. I wouldn't have pick a star at all. This place sold my son 2 old love birds, she told us they were old, (she let us know the cage they came out from those are "old Birds") he bought them on a Thursday for me as a thank you gift and something was wrong with them early Saturday, I called Kim there at the store she said take them to her so she can look at them, she said to leave them there, doesn't return any of my calls in more than a week, now 10 days later she calls only to say "something was wrong with their lungs, by the way the other bird died too", that's it. Really?! So I'm stuck with a $40 some $ cage that she dooped my sop into buying for old birds and my son bummed for what happened. that's not including the $40 plus for each old bird she so him. So no refund?? not even half?? How about a younger bird(s) with no health problems??It would be greatly appreciated for a kid that saved his money to buy/spend in the community. I guess the only positive thing I can say is I picked the one star because we thought shopping local would be great, guess not. Kim took advantage of a young boy buying birds only to sell him old birds on their way out already. Not for the next person going that place be sure to ask if the bird(s) you're buying are old or have any kind health problems.Hey KIM if you read this give the kid a break and at least give half his money back or younger birds. Being kind to a kid doesn't hurt. Thanks.

I bought my beautiful pearly pied cockatiel here and absolutely adore her. I bought her “wild” (I was warned she bites and screams, she does but only when grabbed) and have had her two weeks and will already let me pet her sometimes and no longer runs away from my hand. She is getting along great with my other cockatiel and was a GREAT price. Much cheaper than anywhere else nearby and there was an amazing selection of 8 beautiful healthy cockatiels to choose from! There are also lots of large parrots that are not for sale but super cool to look at I’ve also never been that close to a toucan before and he/she is stunning the blue macaw is another one of my favorites there too!

They have a lot of restrictions due to COVID, you can’t go in there and look at the birds but they will accommodate by bringing the cages close to the counter. This seems to stress the birds out but I am sure that they would get stressed out by strangers getting near them anyways.They did have button quails that I did not know existed and they were cute, I want some.
