I love this place! Diego is SO AWESOME! He cares tremendously for the well being of each animal. Overall a fantastic & well experienced groomer. I don’t have any pets, but a few dogs I’ve cared for, with the owners approval, I was able to bring here & the owners were more than satisfied with their fur babies! One of the dogs was even a senior Saint Bernard who would sometimes soil herself in her sleep and just needed a safe and thorough bathing, and Diego did fantastic. I trust him 100%. Also did an awesome job coloring my sisters dogs hair!! I wish I got a better picture though

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO END UP IN THE E.R with your pet! Took my dog for the first time and my dog got an ear infection in both ears! The guy who owns this needs to get his license removed and has no business being an owner. He starts yelling at me and denying he is the owner and said it’s a female but when we dropped him off he said he owned the place. He clicked on me after trying to see what exactly they used on my dog since he received an ear infection. I will be going a different legal route to hold him and his business accountable!!!!!!

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Took my dog in to get groomed this past Saturday and something they did when or properly didn’t do when cutting the hair off my dog’s ear led to my dog getting an ear infection in both ears. The vet bill came out to $400 to get my dog treated so when contacting the groomers to get this issue resolved the owner was very disrespectful yelling over the phone and hanging up.

This business is bad. Please, I cannot stress this enough. Stay far away.I brought my little girl in for a nail trim and tooth brushing. He said it will be around $50 or $60. I showed him his webpage that says the entire set, for everything, a shampoo, a nail trim, a gland expressing, etc. was $35. He looked at it, on my phone right in front of him, and he was embarrassed. He tried to laugh it off: "Oh, that page is eight or nine years old." Hmm.Now I am suspicious. I asked him to write down exactly what will be done, and how much it will cost. He starts to get angry: "Why, what are you going to do? Are you going to pay upfront?" I said of course, but I need everything in writing - with time, dates, expected time to finish, cost, you know, a receipt. A contract.Now his face turns as red as a tomato. He doesn't have one. Maybe there's one in his office. As he goes to the back, he leaves a gate open, and a big Rat Terrier sneaks into the front area and attacks two small Pomeranians who were just waiting for their owners. Now the place is in chaos.After some order is restored, I tell him, "Look mister, there is no way that I'm leaving my little girl with you. This is not how business is done."Ding ding ding. So now this fool starts cursing me, and even yells that I am not a Veteran (I am wearing the Veteran cap I received from the VA). Swell. He keeps hollering, outside, and as he trips over the plastic chain that is supposed to keep dogs in or keep people out. I wish him a happy life, in different terms, and leave.All this for a receipt. Hmm. Two thumbs down. Go anywhere else.

Do not go here. They are inconsiderate, rude and unsympathetic. Prices are good but that’s about it. They cut my dogs nail too deep and instead on letting me know they sent the dog home with me only to realize once we got home. After 6+ hours of bleeding I took my dog to the vet. They vet informed me that the groomers did a horrible job and recommended I never take my dogs there again.When I called Proud Pet Boutique to voice my concerns the representative on the phone told me that the nail is supposed to bleed. Which is obviously not true. He then tried blaming the bleeding onHe then told me I was insane for asking them to refund their bill and then hung up on me.Please if you care for your animal at all DO NOT take them here.

Horrible place to take your pet. They don’t tell you if they cut or hurt your pet. They just go about it like everything is fine. I picked up my cat and they put him in his cage and gave him to me. I asked how everything went he said good. That he behaved and had no problems. Once I got home I notice my cat licking himself over and over on his belly. I checked him and he had a cut, from where they shaved his hair. I checked all over his body to see if he had anymore cuts but he didn’t. I checked his nails because I asked how he did, if he bit them or not because personally when we cut his nails he tense to bite us he said no he did a fantastic job, when I checked his nails they had trimmed his nails too much and he was bleeding from three of his nails. I will no longer take my cat there. First and last time.

Last night I discovered that my dog had fleas. Because of the pandemic and being new to LA, I haven't been able to get into a vet to renew his flea and tick med. I finally was able to get into a vet this morning and ordered his flea medication. However, I needed to get him a flea bath today because he was itching so bad, and I had to take him to work with me. The only place that was open and would take him right away was Proud Pets. I told them I only needed the flea bath, and that's it. He even repeated it back to me and said, “you only want the flea bath.” I show up, and he takes Bowie and thinks he will be ready in an hour or so! I said, why is it going to take that long?I have to leave at the latest by 10 am. The groomer seemed frustrated with me, so I backed off because I wasn't allowed inside, and he was taking my baby, so I didn't want him to be mad at my pup and take it out on him. So I waited an hour, and Bowie came out. He seemed happy, and I asked how he did. The groomer said he was good, but he didn't like his nails being trimmed. I said, wait, you cut his nails? he said, yeah, we did a full groom! I asked if he did the glands (which I NEVER let groomers do because I know a few people who have had their dogs ruined by this!) He said yes, we did try, and nothing was coming out! Most dogs can do this on their own! I was so upset because Bowie had been groomed just a few weeks ago, so he didn't need his nails trimmed or anything other than the flea treatment. Bowie has been itchy all day, and his butt looks swollen. I will keep a close eye on him and see how he does in the next few days. I will never go back here.

They cut my dog the first time without telling me. He had a scab and bleeding for about a month. I took him again thinking maybe it was an honest overlook, I told the owner and he got very combative and insisted that he didn’t cut my dog (how else would he have been cut on the top of his neck). I still decided to give them a second chance. They told me he was very good this second time now I am seeing ANOTHER wound on the top of my dogs head from being cut by clippers. Would NOT recommend. At least give full disclosure if you hurt someone’s pet!!The haircut is also not good, uneven, they cut whiskers and very squared off as opposed to a round face and ears. I have a shih tzu.

Good but expensive AF! Took a 8 lb Maltipoo and after pickup he said $50. Asked why so much he said shampoo prices went up. As if you’re using the whole bottle of dog shampoo on a small dog. Felt like I got stiffed but at least my dog smelled great

the owner is awesome and very accommodating. somehow no matter how booked up, he always lets us squeeze in the schedule to get our dog groomed.they also use natural ingredients which is a huge plus !!

Even though I cautioned them each time, they cut Milo’s nails too close on at least three separate occasions, drawing blood. They have also knicked him several times and we had to go to the vet twice for ointment cause it became irritated. Don’t go here. Go to Lucky in pan city or Doggie Ave in Burbank.

My eight year old golden retriever looks incredible when she gets groomed at Proud pets. I lucked out when other dog owners at the Valley Village dog park recommended Proud pets - it gives me peace of mind to know my dog is well cared for and the job gets done in a timely manner.

I was skeptical at first to take my dog anywhere other then Petco but since quaretine I haven't been able to make an appointment. I am glad that I gave this business a chance. As a dog mom the safety of my dog always comes first. They took the same mount of time to groom my dog as Petco. I feel great about our business not just because I found people I can trust with the care of pup but I also get to help a small business during these tough times.

Brought my baby for a quick nail trim, while I admit her nails had grown too long, I didn’t think I had to tell them not cut too short as her nerve endings would be close to the top. They cut them too short and left them uneven and scraped. I am absolutely horrified. To make matters worse, he went off on me after I expressed my concerns. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!

My little Chihuahua is now traumatized. When I got there to pick her up I thought it was odd that he didn’t bring her to me right away. He wanted to get paid first. Fine, I tip generously as I always do. Still waiting for my baby. No one is bringing her. Then finally I see someone go get her from a room in the back, and I can immediately see she wasn’t right, she usually wags her tail upon seeing me. This was a clear indication of something wrong. Her hair being trimmed down was clearly obvious that was done by an untrained hand. They cut her wisker,s, she had uneven hairs all over,, she had nick's, and small abrasions from the shave down not being done properly. These things could all grow back, but my poor baby shudders and crouches now when we oo by there in the car and she see’s an tall man.

Diego is a skilled groomer, however his manners are deplorable. Are used to be an employee at this location, and I’m just trying to contact the business to get a hold of the owner to know when my W-2s are coming because they’re the only ones I am waiting on. I had to call 13 times in order to get an actual response from him and I still have yet to hear from the owner, and I still have yet to receive my W-2s. I am floored by the behavior from this groomer and I will never suggest for anyone in LA to go to him because of his behavior alone. Being rude and ignorant is no way to handle a situation when i come to Legalities.

I told them to be careful of my cats ear bc of a cyst that he has and when we got home I noticed blood dripping out of his ear and a ton of headshaking. Now I’m sitting at the vet waiting to make sure he’s okay. When I called to complain at first the guy said he was only bleeding a little when he cleaned it then he switched his story to say he never bled and they actually never clean the ears anyway?! I asked for a refund and they told me to bring him back instead. WHY WOULD I BRING MY CAT BACK HE NEEDS A DOCTOR?! Please avoid this place I hate that they hurt my baby.

For regular upkeep it’s fine. But for skilled styles specific to breeds not at all. I have a schnauzer and the cut is awful. Not done the way it’s supposed to be done at all. Now I have to wait 3-4 or more cuts so 7-8 months for it to grow and to get it corrected by someone else.

Very loving. Took 3.5 hours so they took their time. Almost didn't recognize my dog. He looked gorgeous afterward! And smelled nice. They don't let you in, so it is safe.

Protect your loved animal, don’t bring it to this shop. Our dog has redness and belly cuts. I specifically asked to not cut his hair short due to sensitivity. The front desk person is oblivious to the customer directions. Poor animal is suffering and has to wear scone now.

After making a specific request on how to shave the stomach the groomer totally ignored it. Having essentially buzzed his stomach has left him with razor burn that he is licking into a rash. Not to mention how they shaved his fur way shorter(almost buzzed) than requested. Don't go here, any place that can ignore a request that is specific to the healthy of a dog should NOT be cutting their hair.
