Initially my wife and I passed this hotel as it took us a moment to realize that it is in a big house.Once we got into the room, it really felt cozy and warm. Our room and bedding were very clean, the bed was nice a soft to my liking. The bathroom is huge and we especially enjoyed the extra-large bath towels. We loved being able to hear birds in the morning. There is no TV in the room but honestly it was a nice change to actually just relax. Overall, we thought this was the nicest place we stayed in so far travelling south from Canada.Rooms: Very clean room. Sheets were very clean and bathroom as well.Safety: Code Security locks on the front door and each room for people staying in.

Basically self check in, but the bar can help you out if you have minor technical issues at check in like I did. As far as amenities go, the single room I stayed in was outfitted with vintage Americana type decor that did not feel out of place at all in the community of Valley Ford. I had a comfortable nights stay and great breakfast down the road at the Cafe Estero before continuing on to San Francisco. The only complaint I had was that the shower head was also vintage, and not in a charming way…

Wow! What a cool, local, Americana kind of place! I wish I had more time here. Seems like a great base for N CA or wine country exploration. A great alternative to franchise or tired-looking lodging options in the area. Downstairs restaurant is amazing and so much fun, with a mix of local and visitors making for great conversation along with the great food and drink.

A lovely and clean hotel in the tiny town of Valley Ford. It's a short drive from several beaches and hiking areas, as well as larger towns like Sebastopol. The property is well-maintained, and our room was very comfortable. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to stay in the area!

We stayed one night at this hotel the day after the Thanksgiving and had a very good experience. We were greeted by a friendly staff at checkin. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant and liked the food we ordered. The hotel-provided breakfast was good. The only complaint that my wife and I had was that the shower temperature was difficult to adjust. We will definitely consider staying there again if we are in the area again.

This place is amazing! Great rustic original California country feel with some amazing food. The fried chicken with waffles is just the best, no kidding. The rooms are authentically vintage, with a nice simple and uncluttered feel. The town that it is located in is nice and close to Bodega and the beach. It’s a great deal and a very good value. In short it is a find!

Everyone working here was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, clean, pleasant, and had everything we needed in it like a hairdryer, mini frig, power strip for charging a phone, coat hooks, luggage stand, soap, etc. The small details/touches made me think the owner or manager might stay in the rooms occasionally. There was no TV, but we didn't need one.We requested an ADA room and they had it! My mom was easily able to get from the car to the room in a wheel chair through a rear patio that the bar tender cheerfully showed me upon check in. The ADA room was great for her. (It would be great to add a shower stool/seat when ADA is requested. Otherwise, bring your own shower stool. I know not everyone needs one, and I bet the room is often not used by those who would need it, but it is so helpful when you are weakened. )Coffee was nice and provided upstairs in the morning upstairs. We had breakfast across the street at a great cafe.I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to come back again for a longer stay.

Charming inn! Built in 1864, so it has all the quaintness of an historical building. The room was bright and cheerful. I found the bathrooms to be very clean and perfectly fine in every way. The Sunday continental breakfast was excellent! Warm, fresh, and very yummy - beautiful, too. I'd stay there again if travels head me up that way.

Nice hotel with a B&B feel. Very clean inside with very comfortable bed. We we're there when the restaurant and bar were not open (open Thu-Sun I believe). It was a little bit of a drive (6-7 miles) back to a restaurant. Good little grocery store across the street. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel advertises it as a 'family hotel' but there is no family there. Nobody spoke with us when we got in and nobody said anything when we left. There is no reception, no lobby ... even the room keys are left in an envelope in the porch (great safe practice I'd say!). So there is nothing to welcome th guest, a smile, a short chat, nothing. So this is neither a hotel nor a B&B. This is a house that rents rooms, nothing more.I found the hotel very expensive for what it offers. For the same price you can get much better rooms in a 20 mile area. The room is too small and I felt it was very simply decorated. There is no TV. The furniture is cheap and cranky. The restaurant below was very noisy, they say they close at 8pm but at 9.30 pm you could still hear the guests laughing and making a lot of noisy. The next day when we left the lobby stunk like trash. All in all, a very sad and unremarkable experience.

Pretty nice hotel, and nice little town. Weird to me they had no phone, tv, or AC in the rooms. Also i was using one of their glasses in my bag while we stayed and i'm pretty sure the cleaner got into my bag and took it out, and it was not right on top or anything. Maybe offer a note to hang on the door to not have your room cleaned, or not to have your bag gone through. I've NEVER had that happen before.

Cute little hotel attached to a great restaurant! I recommend this to anyone looking for a soft bed and cozy atmosphere for a night or two. Sitting on the porch drinking coffee is a great way to spend the morning.

This hotel is beautifully rustic and impeccably clean, the towels and linen were top quality, very welcome after a long drive! We were disappointed that there was no food on site as it wasn’t the weekend but it was a very comfortable stay!

Superb quaint little hotel in attractive hamlet. Excellent service and facilities - especially the free chocolate brownies! No TV in room if that's a problem for you.

Very nice and cozy place. The price was much better than actually on Bodega Bay. My only complaint is minor. The registration email was a .pages file. Which is not easily readable with Android.
