This market is a valley center classic. The only market in VC I go to. They have everything; dry foods, refrigerated, frozen, desserts, kitchen supplies, and more! The young woman who works here is very nice! The men are not so friendly.

This is a cute and friendly little local store. There aren't many nearby choices so I was pleasantly surprised to find everything I needed. They have a very nice meat and deli counter although I'm not a fan of raw meats being handled alongside the deli items. Finding a Julian cherry apple pie was a real treat!

Great selection of alcohol for a small little store. Staff was friendly. Had plenty of food as well we grabbed some items to make dinner. Price is fair for being a small store in a small town.

I'm a little disappointed in the new owner. The price of a cup coffee went up, which I have no problem with. But at the same time the price went up, the strength of the coffee has weakened considerably. I have been stopping here for years for my morning coffee. No more. I'm not paying $2.50 for a cup of brown water. Fortunately the gas station across the street still has decent coffee.

I stopped in because I've heard great things about the butcher/meat for sale. I was impressed with the quality and the price of the meat that I bought! It was a cute little convenience store that you'd never expect from looking at it from the outside. The two employees that I spoke to were extremely helpful and kind. The young man behind the butcher counter even cut a bone down for me so I can give them to my dogs! I will definitely be back.

I want to let anyone who wants to eat quality meat at a reasonable price then this store is the place to go. I used to buy meat packages from my local store. At first it was fine. Then after a while the chickens, I purchased began to look like they had a meth habit. I found this Valley Center foods and have purchased their meat for over 3 years now. Every time I get great wonderful meat. Whether it is ground beef, bacon, roast and plump chicken. The meat is quality.

This place has great prices in the meat department. Other than that everything else is over priced. Customer service is okay. Could be better.

The meat stand in here is very impressive. Porterhouse steaks were a steal of a deal. And they were fantastic.

It was very nice because it was fast service and no waiting in lines at the hour that I went but the cleanliness was a little poor they could do a better job cleaning the meat cuz they do sell meat back there that's a butcher shop and the alcohol the refrigerators are probably need to be repaired it's quite an old building so I would say cleanliness is needed

Good little store for the necessities. The tiny meat dept is top notch & prices are always good. Produce could use a little work but cold beer & huge selection of booze is a plus. Friendly & courteous staff

The closest little market to us, just a little country place with a great meat counter. Nearly always open, large beverage selection at decent prices, and a little bit of everything including fresh vegetables. Beats the drive back down the hill to the Big City, and the best game in town. Nice to my little girl, who loves to go there.

Local farm fresh veggies and fruit. Great selection of market necessities close to home. No need to drive 10 miles to Escondido. Also, how cool is it that sign, "Village Post Office"? Makes me think of home in Alaska.

I've lived and shopped here in Valley Center for years. They run a tight clean shop, and little known, their sandwiches are surprisingly good.

It's improved drastically and the people are at actually honest at heart. I left ten dollars in the bill operated lottery scratchers dispenser and they were closing so I was in a rush. When I got back there the next day I had forgotten about it. They had it sitting and waiting for me . As to the actual availability and variety of items to buy,...it's still the same . Needs some different options like fresh ground beef would be nice or preformed Patty's to bbq . There's a meat counter in back but are usually gone by my nightly visit. They do get fresh Julian pies and have any little electronic plug for phones and also any batteries you would want. Gloves hats fresh produce but they would only benefit if they were to carry veriety of reasonably priced dog chews or pig ear type treats being out here in the country. Overall I'm satisfied 4 of 5 stars unless some items come down in price a bit

Went here to get some sandwhiches. The place was covered with flies. In the butchers section. I called it the fear factor sandwhich. Will not go back ever again
