I had a horrible experience with another local fish store buying and setting up my first saltwater tank. They sold me the wrong tank which the motor broke after 1 1/2 weeks leaving me with frag coral, shrimp, and a clown fish dying. I went to Valencia Pet and they helped me pick out a new salt water tank, supplied me with the CORRECT water testing kits, walked me through the process of each test, allowed me to pick out some amazing live rock, which they had just got in and was still in the back room, and even gave me the most beautiful fan frag coral for free!!! I love them for being so helpful, informative, and treating me like a family member when I was FREAKING out about my first tank!!! You guys are AMAZING!!

Unfortunately their freshwater fish has high mortality rates. Out of 15 fish I bought from them so far in 4 months span 10 died within 1-3 days after buying. In the past a female employee exchanged the dead fish but recently when I brought them in along with the sample of my water to the store, a guy (seemed to be an owner) tested it and said there was nothing wrong with it, refused exchange with it and said “sometimes fish just die”. He was rather rude. He said they don’t have any guarantee on their live fish and don’t exchange. Their aquarium maintenance items are grossly overpriced too. I don’t recommend buying there. PetCo has 30-days exchange policy and to my surprise their fish mortality is much lower.

I bought my fish and his food here. When I ran out of food I went back to get more. The owner said she was out but had another brand. I bought that only to find my fish wouldn't eat it. I went to return the food for a refund or exchange and the owner wouldn't do either. She assured he would eat it?? Well he didn't.I left without her crummy food and bought the brand I needed at Walmart for half the price.$2.78 instead of $5.What kind of owner would lose a customer over $5. this owner. So rude and shortsighted

Great local Fish store. Everyone here I super helpful and knowledgeable. Nowhere in Santa Clarita has more saltwater fish and coral. Also just a fun place to go and look at fish.

Will never go here again.Young lady at this store was insisting it's our fault the fish we buy here don't live long. When I bought the same dish at another store survive for years.

I've never been there, but all I know is I called up to ask if they carry a certain type of feshwater fish and he was an a$$ so I will never go there!

Went on a Sunday at 4:30pm, online, and on the door it saids they close at 5pm, but was told to leave because they decided that day to close early never coming back to this place rude people.
