All time favorite pet store. We have been coming here for years and they have everything from chicken food to hamster food. The owner is the nicest guy. I had some flea medication that was the wrong weight and he was more than happy to help out with the exchange. Lisa the manager is also amazing and so helpful. She helped us adopt a kitten a year ago and it was such an efficient process.

This store has a wide selection of pet and farm animal food and supplies. They carry frozen raw foods for dogs and cats in a freezer by the front entrance. High quality at a decent price. If you need any over the counter 'meds' for your pets and livestock, there is a good amount of options. For example, they have chlorohexadine here for a good price. You can buy chicks here- just be careful because before you know it, you'll be 'that chicken lady/ man' that has 40 chickens in the backyard. Toys, treats, wound care, food, bathing/ grooming supplies, leashes, beds, livestock/ pet 'houses', the list goes on. The workers here are very friendly and always willing to help. I wanted to know a few prices that I couldn't locate, so the associate walked through the store with me to scan prices with no complaints. Any time I have questions they will stop what they are doing to come help me out. Very knowledgeable staff. Also, they work with a pet rescue group so you very well may find a new furry family member here. I've seen several different cats come though that have been adopted out. I much prefer this place to the big box pet stores. Go check it out!

Good place to get hen feed, including oyster shell. However, after purchasing the oyster shell; I found a better price elsewhere. I'll double check next time before purchasing. Today, we bought 2 bags of feed & 1 bag of oyster shell; 50lb each bag. All in all, Western Ranch has always been our go-to hen feed. 👍👍

Knowledgeable staff. Offers an assortment of unique products for small and big animals. Rats, guinea pigs, lizards, birds, bunnies, kitties, dogs, and even livestock and horses. This is hands down the best pet supply store in Vacaville.

The staff are friendly and willing to help you find what you are looking for.They do sell bulk bird seeds, i.e., wild bird seed and Dove food. I also purchased meal worms for my yard birds. The parking lot size is approximately 16, or maybe more vehicles.They do sell baby chick's, bunnies, crickets, mice, and rats..Great shopping experience.

This is 1 of 2 stores that has the food I need for my animals. Very well stocked and the staff is always polite and helpful, even willing to help take your purchases to your vehicle. They have varying sizes in the food I give as well in case I don't need a much. The feed bins they have are great and durable.

I had previously given this store a better review, however after today I can no longer shop at this business or recommend it. I know it's loved by many in the community, but today the staff showed they couldn't handle stress and still provide good customer service.We went to go to the VIP clinic, which I understand is a service they provide for free and not associated with them as a business. And I know not everyone that comes buys stuff (though often we do and I've seen other people shop as well over the years). But still, they know this service comes monthly, sometimes weekly.The staff were stressed out, which I do understand. Their internet was down so they had to do everything by hand. One of their front doors was banging because of the wind and weather so they had to lock it so it didn't break, but they had another door.Where my issue comes in was how rude they were to VIP staff and me and my husband. They had many discussions with VIP, not all I could here but of the ones I could a female employee was very rude to them. She also came over to talk to me and my husband at the beginning of the line multiple times asking us questions and talking to us while side eye watching them. She was very condescending and she just looked so smug. It took everything in both me and my husband to continue to be nice to her.I get stress. I've been under so much stress. I've worked customer service my whole life in several industries, many of them being under stress large amounts of the time. So I get it. But you can still be nice. Is this stress or her persona?The only other store staff member I came in contact with was on the way out the door a guy was holding the door cracking jokes about if "our shot" hurt, laughing and smiling. Either he didn't know what was happening (bad staff communication) or he was being rude too.We will gladly go elsewhere to use VIP services, and buy all our pet care needs elsewhere.

This place is so cool! We picked up some duck food here and fell in love with a kitten they had up for adoption on behalf of the local animal shelter. Thanks to them, we now have Spidey, our beloved pet kitty! Highly recommend this place for you pet and backyard animal needs.

Staff are pleasant people and willing to help--and that matters to me most than prices and such. I bought my "little girls" from here on Valentines Day 2018. All my feather babies are doing well and producing eggs. Winifred the Buff Orpington is the star of my flock with her cute and plump rump laying an egg nearly every day. Tina the Black Australorp "sings" to us when she demands something, whether she wants to be held or wants her dried mealworms. I purchase their organic feed from this store and other chicken necessities (and luxuries).

Western Ranch has a great variety of food, supplies, gear, containers for just about every animal you could think of including troughs, round pen panels, gates, etc. If they don't have it in stock just ask they will probably order it for you. They even special order food for my llamas.

Terrible customer service, no prices listed for any feed so you have to ask individually about every item you’re potentially going to purchase and the girl behind the counter acted as if there was a 2 maximum inquiry. I’ve never felt so inconvenient in my life. So I just left , I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Feed stores are suppose to be welcoming and friendly. I mean aren’t horse people still horse people or has the common bond and cowboy way lost. I hope not.

It's no exaggeration when I say Lisa changed my dog's life when she helped me to discover the right food for my dog. It's been months and she has never been healthier or happier. We always come back for more. Not only did my dog's quality of life drastically improve, but I always leave this place with more knowledge to take care of her. I love this place! The smell of animal feed and other things just takes me back to when I was a kid. Very friendly staff. I think they still have a vaccination clinic on Sunday. I have not been there for vaccinations,since way before covid-19. Now I won't even get my animals vaccines. I do not want SADS for my animals.

Very rude person named Brenna, jumping into conversations that aren’t hers. I can see why people have issues with Brenna . She has a confrontational questioning/attitude. And when called out on it disregard that there’s any issues or problems t.his person should be fired. Because I was just a customer.
