I would like to thank Dr. Desirae Costello and the clinical staff for their attempts to vaccinate my cat. Unfortunately, my cat was too frightened by the store setting. I was recommended to make an appointment with Vetco Total Care (which I will do based on my satisfaction on this visit).I would also like to thank the front store staff for making it easy to check-in and perfectly explaining what to expect from the visit (especially since it was my first experience getting this kind of service for a pet). Additionally, also would like to thank the assistant of Dr. Desirae Costello at the time of attempting to vaccinate my cat.Excellent service despite not being to completely get what I had hoped for, but at least I was able to get the Revolution Plus flea medication!

The girl at the register that did my check out did not seem like she wanted to be there. She scanned my items then picked at her nails as she waiting my receipt. No eye contact or anything. Usually the staff is very helpful and friendly, but not today.

Got up at 4 am this morning to go to work and found that my 3 dogs were out of food after their breakfast this morning, made the mental note to stop off after work which i got off at 8:45pm , Mondays are one of my long days during the week. I get there with 5 minutes to spare at 8:55pm and they close at 9pm on Mondays but the doors wouldn’t open. An associate walks up to the door and tells me they are closed and that they closed at 9pm. I show him that there is still 3 minutes till close and i just needed to quickly run in and get a bag of dog food to feed my dogs for the night and he then told me that they were understaffed with only 2 people there so they had to close early, with an empty parking lot mind you. I told him that my dogs were not going to be able to eat tonight and all day tomorrow since they open so late and would be starving and he told me to have a good night and dismissed me to which I responded screw you at the infuriating situation while walking away and the associate then decided to respond with a “yeah, you too”. It’s really unfortunate that my dogs have to suffer for bad staffing issues and other peoples mistakes and then to be talked to so rudely by an associate is unacceptable.

My go to groomer. They are better than petsmart. This time I just took a chance to get my dogs nail trimmed and they were able to accommodate me. I'm also able to see my dog in the room while he is being groomed. Plus they have a great selection of pet products. They also sell birds, rats, fish and guinea pigs.

Pet store in Vacaville that has a pet hospital now in the back of the store. Lots of live animals including parakeets and fish, hamsters, mice and guinea pigs, lizards and geckos, and they all look very healthy. Staff is very helpful. The grooming area had one person grooming. I give it 4 stars because grooming for my size dog (large poodle) takes 4 hrs. That's too long for my dog to stand without resting. Great supplies for all pets! Kind of pricey but the quality of the leashes and harnesses and clothing speaks for itself.

This pet store has by far the best inventory of cool dog stuff out of all the pet stores in the area. Really cute dog accessories I enjoy going in here to buy my pup treats and toys

Staff were exceptionally friendly! However, I give a 3 star due to how filthy the fish tanks were, which was quite disappointing. I hope this isn't a reflection of how they care for all their animals. I hope they take better care of the fishies in the future.

Tammy was very experienced trainer. I brought my first fur baby because I felt overwhelmed. She reassured me I was doing well. So I took that confidence with me and applied it to continue with my 12 wk old Frenchies needs. My work home balance has been a lot better. Happy I made the leap with Petco.

Fast, efficient and more importantly I watched a Vacaville Petco employee pick up after a stressed dog while its owner wasn’t paying attention. He was friendly and handled it with grace. What a champ!

It's like most other Pet store with supplies and food. See the groomers with the dogs getting groomed. The adoption area where you get to meet and spend a little one on one with the animal your adopting. Friendly staff.

There was at least one dead fish in almost every tank. It was clear that they're battling some sort of disease or parasite.But they have a great selection of everything in store and the prices weren't half bad.

I love coming here to get things I need for my favorite little friend. I always stop after getting my cat groomed to pick up a toy or supplies. The store employees are super nice and remember that I adopted my fur ball from their adoption center. They love him and he never gets stressed out while we are in the store.

I would never take my dogs here for vaccines. I came for dog food and saw a clinic going on and hung around to see if maybe it would be a good option for my dog. One of the techs seemed nervous and like she didn’t know what she was doing. I watched her tease a few animals and drop a dog. I tried to catch a glimpse of her name plate - Ariana with black hair and a bow in it. Come on petco do better - either hire qualified people or tighten up the process. I’ll stick with my local vet and buy my dog food elsewhere because this was really disheartening to see.

This is the only store where I can find my puppy's food. I also found a collar small enough for him. They have tons of fun stuff here for pets and you can visit the rescue cats, they have adoption days on Fridays.

We bought a large bag of pond fish food. Our cashier sais "wait a minute..." and proceeded to do a price match check for us. The result was that we received a sizeable discount on our purchase. Now THAT'S great service!

This is the nicest Petco I've ever been to. Clean shop with a great selection of exotic fish, many I haven't even seen before at local fish stores around sac. The employees were knowledgeable about everything. I'll be making the trip from Davis just to check things out here more often!
