Adorable book shop with a secretly huge inventory.From the freeway it looked very tiny but once we actually stepped inside we could see it was a winding, cavernous, glorious hideaway with book stacked to the shelves and many alleyways to discover.A very strong vintage classic section along with some solid paranormal and parapsychology. There's small children's section right up front and every other kind of section you might possibly hope for.This store is a secret treasure filled with books, AC, and a charming owner named Patty. I'm so glad I pulled together enough energy to check it out and hope to do so every visit.

The selection here was a little dated and basic - was hoping for a bigger selection of religious and antique books - but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Love the little nook of Romance and Westerns. They did have an old book for $375 that I will be dreaming about for years.

Raven's book shop is a fantastic maze of books and magazines. She has everything from cook books to sci-fi, from murder mystery to poetry. She does her research on every book's value, and her prices are very reasonable. This little desert gem is a must stop if you're looking for a good read.

Their books are really cheap and the store looks really cool on the inside. It's especially good if you want to read classics and older books without paying full price. Their books are in good condition despite being used. They have a very large and diverse selection (Sci-Fi, Westerns, Crime, Military, Non-Fiction [Writing, Math, Science, Aviation, etc.], Aviation, Historical Fiction and much more). Would definitely suggest it as a place to go if you happen to be in Twenty-Nine Palms.

Winding bookshelves sagging from the weight of dusty yellowed tomes. Haphazardly placed labels move and change as the different sections slowly evolve with the ebb and flow of books from the shop. The bookseller is a kind older woman who still checks out your receipt in pencil. Everything you could want from a secluded little book shop in the desert. Worth visiting for the old book smell alone.

This place is a diamond in the rough. It's hands down my favorite book store in Southern California. There are books in every genre in existence from floor to ceiling. I went in for books on flowers and gardening and could have easily spent a few hours browsing. If you need books, I highly suggest checking their selection before buying online or elsewhere.

Great book shop with TONS of books for cheap. Super cool old prints, rare books, I would set aside 1-2 hours because it’s going to take a while to look for what you’d like to read. Small crammed shop, but that’s the best kind of book store because they’ll have just about anything and everything. Will come back!

I love this local book shop! I regularly find books from my list (plus books I didn’t know my list was missing)! One of those great local bookstores that fills up every shelf, nook and cranny of an old house, books piled everywhere and overflowing. I always am happy to get a sense of a place's unique character through the books. Here is emphasis is on science fiction, mysteries, paperback best sellers and thrillers. But there's something for everyone. It's just enjoyable to wander around the labyrinth and explore, opening yourself up to the fateful hands of serendipity.

If you need a book definitely call in here first. The woman who owns the store is such a sweetheart and responds to e-mails. She helped me find a book I needed when it was so expensive in other places. If you go inside though it's such a dream. Books everywhere! You can spend a while just looking around and seeing what they have.

You walk into the quaint little shop and you're immediately greeted by the glorious smell of well loved books. There is an inviting children's area to occupy young ones and an extensive selection of every type of book that will make even the most senior feel like a kid in a candy shop again. The shop captures the appropriate feeling of organized chaos perfectly. At first glance it appears there are books strewn headlessly everywhere yet upon closer inspection they are neatly organized and labeled. If you can't seem to find what you are looking for the friendly owner will help you locate your treasure. The most incredible collection of fine art in 29 Palms.

A quaint store stuffed to the gills with books everywhere. They are organized by genre and all are given a very fair to super cheap price. All the books I saw were in good condition, even most of the old ones. Definitely worth a look through.

Great bookstore! With wall to wall books it's the perfect place for people who love books. There's always something new to find there from classics to the out of print. Anyone in town visiting, this is a surefire stop along your way.

The best things are the friendly staff and massive selection of books. However, the aisles are cramped and shelves are overfowing onto the floor. And by cramped I mean its barely enough space for two people to pass by. Books come in far faster than they get them out. I can say that the prices are truely lower than online by whats advertised and I suspect thats why its so packed. Looked at a few items went back to confirm listed onlie price and a quick google search found near similar conditioned closer to their price than online. Before I pay near top dollar i need to know pedigree of their book grading, thus most used book stores arnt that expensive on 90+% of their books. While the entrance may accommodate wheelchairs I know it does not meet the 36" ADA guidance for aisle space for maneuvering inside the store. Let alone the allowance for 32" for sections up to 24" long.

It was a great experience! I didn't get her name but she made me feel very welcomed while I lingered around looking for the right book! Came out with 3! There is a ton of books to look at.
