It was horrible. The manager refused to give me a refund and refused to let me get another item costing more money. The black and decker sprinkler was faulty. He said that I couldn't do anything about it because its seasonal. Its summer?? Very bad management at the 29 Palms store!!!This time I tried this nasty store to give it another shot and that manager is totally unreasonable. A price on a special large tag said that the toilet paper was 99c. I brought it up to the register and he refused to give it to me for that price.I wonder how often he pulls that. The girl at the other register was arguing loudly with an old man. I called corporate and that's a joke. Ghetto store.

Very rude customer service.. on top of this walking into the store music playing loud with profanity. There's kids that go into the store no respect for nobody. I refuse to go to this store.

The staff here are a little overbearing when your in the store meaning don't ever take a big purse for fear they will be on you like flys on honey thinking your stealing the hole dam store. Which is very annoying. The store is clean

I am a regular customer at the Family dollar store in 29 palms. It maintains functional working hours , has a wide variety of products from brand names to competitive lower priced stock. . The clerks are always helpful in trying to assist customers to findItems they came shopping for and on their way . Often the store is very busy which does create some delay at peak times though they respond with a second cashier when's able . More recently here in January 2023 after the holiday rush has subsided, the store has become more organized with increased amount of active employees. They receive new deliveries at the beginning of each week . The best time to ensure they have what you need in stock, and on the shelves is midweek. It is apparent the store is evolving with additional staff .increasing competitive brands and on line services. Store hours make for convience as they are open until 10:00 p. M and open at 7:00a.m. daily. Handicap accessible, public transportation stop out front. It is fortunate to see progress in the area of customer service.

Place always feels crowded - like the store is too small maybe it's just that there's always stuff in the aisles and everything seems smashed together. Staff has always been super friendly tho

Absolutely hate coming here!!!! It has gotten to the point where not even in an emergency situation will I stop at this store. Everything is ALWAYS a mess nothing is ever organized. They're always out of everything . I see no point in them even being open honestly.

Unfortunately, customer service was not great today. I went in and a younger guy helped out nicely & showed me a few products. However when it came to the older guy who was working there, He asked me to go & wait at the other register to charge me. I didn't think of it as nothing because I thought he was busy organizing merchandise but when he helped two ladies and charge them and I was still in line waiting for assistance. That seem very rude and unprofessional. I mentioned out loud he helped two customers when I had been there waiting. Stayed quiet and continued helping customers. The younger guy at the 1st register he helped me and tried his best to be polite & charge me and I left the store not feeling it because customer service was not on point.

The Family Dollar in Twentynine Palms 🌴California need to have more than one Cash Register open at all times so the line isn't so long & you will not have people walking out of store for waiting too long in line 😉! Also the sales associates should have more customer service training, they need to show the customers where things are instead of pointing out what isles it might be on. That probably would solve more than half the problem in that store & pull their customers on the side to let them know what is and isn't allowed in Store!

They can be rude and have a lot of incorrect signage in the store. One manager, Maria is the BEST THING they got going there as far as attitude and customer satisfaction. I had to call corporate once because one employee was EXTREMELY RUDE & BORDERLINE OPENLY RACIST!!!! I have NEVER felt that way before, especially growing up in the South! Other then that, good deals and coupons!

The store is filthy. It looks like it hasn’t been swept in months, nor mopped. Now I know the floors need to be replaced you can see that by looking at them but that doesn’t mean the staff shouldn’t at the very least sweep... plus they are not ADA compliant, they are several places that you could not get a wheel chair through the store, they have boxes and U-boats all over the place. The shelves are poorly stocked, and the manager doesn’t seem to care at all about the long lines, standing in front of the cash register talking to the cashier instead of letting the cashier do her job and check out the customers. The condition is deplorable, and it used to be a fairly clean store, but over the years it has really gone way down hill. The manager should have more respect for herself, her employees, and her store to let it look like it does...

Great experience, customer service was a lil slacking but it's only due to the long lines but they move fast... Surprised to bc it's been kind of warme but other than that this great place good location needs more employees..... (Hint hint ) . but all in all a fast friendly environment

Wanted advertised and being new to this area, they sold out the first day. So know I knowBut overall the prices are fantastic. And had a few items I've needed that Walmart doesn't carry. Will definitely return again.

Avilene was taking her time ringing a customer. I asked her 3xs if she was able to call another cashier and she ignored me then wanted to have an attitude when I asked again louder. Told associates I was yelling at her but with the store being so small the other 3 associates that were gathered 3 aisles behind the line would've been able to hear me. Please don't hire associates with nasty attitudes.

It's always a mess every time I go there. Boxes everywhere, you get hit with dust balls when you get something from top shelf. Staff is ok, the manager is creepy. The only one I ever see working and not standing around gossiping is one of the managers Tonya. She's always stocking and cleaning that horribly dirty store.... other staff, I've heard them cursing and talking bad about customers..SMH!

Always long line with only one check out. Other Employees just waudering around chatting while line gets longer. I have left several times because I could drive another store faster. Very frustrating because the are well stocked and have good prices.

There's always merchandise in the isles.of the main isle where there's lined up people to pay.overheard a supervisor talking to employee saying don't take it personal when I tell you things like they expect me to do .like correcting the new employee.custimerd don't want to hear that.

A great little store to stop at if you need staples like bread, milk, and eggs. They also have a pretty good variety of all sorts of goods. The only bad thing is that there's sometimes long lines at the checkout.

Lots of boxes in the aisles and didn't have a couple things I was looking for... Probably still in the boxes in the aisles! But found almost everything I came for and the coupons were great! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This store is new enough that I haven't made a habit of stopping here first but I am trying as they have a myriad of offerings in their well stocked store whenever I stop in. I have always found what I was looking for by asking the friendly help, cashier as I am walking in the door. Make this your first stop habit on your trips to town and your wallet and your feet will thank you.

Some of the team are great only thing is they should announce that they use paper bags only I shop there I had over $26 worth of merchandise what's up to the counter and ended up forfeiting the transaction because there's no way I'm going to take that many bags of paper down to where I need to get to Witches Point be sorry one star okay I'll give you 3

The manager hired a verbally abusive man named Cody to ban blacks from the store. It is sick! If you can't stand poor black people then go work some place else. The level of blatant racism at this location is kinda scary and Should not go unchecked

Expect drama, confusion, long lines, no carts... 😂 It's 1 of 3 stores to shop for groceries in 29. Unless you have a base pass... and good luck with getting the base pass, my dad's an army veteran and I can't even get one. This store is doing the best a can with the situations going on in our town.
