My visit Sunday around noon was very memorable - I was the only customer there when I arrived. Both employees were very friendly and we had a great chat about silly pet cats and birds. The ice cream was delicious as expected for Coldstone. The friendly conversation was a total bonus. I'm sorry I didn't catch their names, but thanks for being so welcoming!

The only reason for 1 Star is the selection options. I wish this location would think about customers that like sorbets and sherbet. Since opening your doors, I have never seen a sherbet available (I'm not sure Colds Stones has Sherbet), and you've only had one sorbet flavor, Watermelon. Personally, I can't stand that flavor. Each time I go into your location, I walk right back out. I can not enjoy ice cream anymore, but a refreshing citrus or berry flavor sorbet would be nice. I know other locations have different flavors. How about switching it up? Maybe think about your non dairy, vegetarian/vegan customers a little more! Just a thought

The lady Randy is so rude. I showed up at 7:53 and doors were locked and sign states they close at 8:00 pm. I am a customer and I only asked why they were closed. She could said sorry we are closed, but she had to scream at me and being rude, I took a picture of her and the sarcastic woman even posed as if she did not care. Why would anyone work in customer service fields if they lack a positive friendly attitude. She is definitely not getting my business nor from my company as long as Cold Stone keeps her working there. All I wanted was to consume and purchase from Coldstone. Great job Randy you are definitely the worst customer service.

The staff were friendly and helpful. What a weird and uninviting place though. There is an obnoxiously loud air knife which activates each time the door is open, more on that later. This is a combo rocky mountain chocolate, cold stone and gift shop. The cold stone is pretty standard as far as ordering and taste. However, once you have your treat, the store layout invites you to leave. All the tables are pushed together in two clumps. There are only a few chairs at these executive meeting room size clusters of tables. And no, they chairs aren't on the tables as if they are cleaning, they are nowhere to be seen. One group of three tables immediately adjacent the door is where we sat, the smallest cluster of tables. Cue the air knife racket each time someone enters or exit the shop. I preferred the Metallica which was playing in the shop over the air knife racket. Yes, the 🎶 you will enjoy is hard rock and metal. Don't worry though, you will be too distracted trying to eat your ice cream with the most pathetic plastic spoon ever manufactured to worry about the music and machine noise. Remember Gumby? This spoon has the same strength to scoop your next bite as a spoon made of recycled Gumby. Enjoy!

Updated.Feb 2023. Updated from 4 stars to 5 stars. Maggie was extremely helpful in putting together a cake for my kid’s birthday. A big thank you if you’re reading this.Sept 2022:First time visiting. Enroute to take my kids to the McDonald’s Nextdoor & my kiddos wanted to stop by cold stone 1st. I’m not a big fan but I allowed it just to have them look around & feed their eyes. I was actually very pleased with the cleanliness & how organized the store was. While the kids checked out their ice cream flavors I walked around & found cute souvenirs for sale behind where the chairs are. Looking forward to coming back, sitting down for ice cream & buying a souvenir or 2.

Coldstone Use common sense. It doesn’t take 24hrs to write a message on my cake, that is idiotic.. you can only customize a cake online?Do better. Please.The cheese cake with pie crust is good though

Great service but i can NOOOOOOT believe there is no Air Conditioning. This is completely unacceptable and unfair to have employees work in this type of environment. There’s lack of responsibility from the owner and this issue needs to be resolved as soon as possible. Your employees deserve better treatment.

Ordered a cake a week prior with a pick up time of 1030am. Arrived at the store around 1050, the cake was not done (not even started). I suppose there is no point in pre-ordering to save time. Once they brought out the cake around 11, only half the requested message was on the cake....in the wrong color. He said that he couldnt fix it, but after we asked to see the manager (who wasnt in) the writing could magically could be "fixed". 1110 this is the final "product". Still the wrong color.The ice cream is good, the cake was decent, just expect minimum quality

Curly hair guy with "Angel" necklace needs to find a new job. On the order before mine, the ice cream spent less than 5 seconds on the stone. He threw some chocolate chips on top, mashed it down once, and then put it in the bowl.Then for my order, I asked for sweet cream and cheesecake with rasberries mixed in, but my ice cream never even touched the stone. It went straight into the bowl half melted and then had a rasberry paste dumped on top. Then my ice cream was handed to me with a sample spoon and I was told there were no other spoons. I have never had a bad experience at a Cold Stone until today.

I went this evening at 8:58 P.M. to get an ice-cream. This web page states it is open until 10:00 P.M. I walked in and saw four customers in line and went to proceed to the counter. A young worker approached me and said they are closed. I mentioned the time on the web page which she then wanted to see my phone and the time for herself. After seeing it she said again their closed. Definitely not a friendly atmosphere.

I have had tons of experiences with Cold Stone Creamery, but for those of you who haven't, imagine it like a Subway for ice cream. You choose a flavor, they mash the ice cream down on a long counter slab, you pick your toppings, they add them to the spread-out ice cream on the counter, and then chop them all up so it's perfectly mixed when they roll it back into the ball form for your dish or cone. It isn't standard practice in normal ice cream parlors, so I've seen several people shocked at their temporarily flattened ice cream on the counter.This place is absolutely beautiful inside. I went last month after dinner and the staff was incredibly friendly. Despite the line, the process went relatively quickly. At the register, they have a digital touch-screen that let's you enter your phone number for rewards instead of asking the cashier, which I haven't seen anywhere else, and I love it. My ice cream was practically overflowing in the dish and I left extremely happy. The staff here honestly make the experience and it is one of the best Cold Stone's I have been to.

Whenever I go to cold stone the staff is always bright and cheery. The guy that served me at this location didn't respond when I said hello, he just stared at me, and then bluntly asked me what I wanted. He was giving me weird looks the whole time. There definitely could have been more toppings on mt ice cream as well. I tipped the dude because I felt bad. He seems like a miserable person or maybe he doesn't enjoy his job. He was a tall blonde kid with beady eyes.

Worst place I have ever been to. Very poor customer service. Employees in the back room on their cell phones while customers wait in line being ignored. When friends of Employees come in to the store they instantly get waited on. A bunch of kids unsupervised. It's hard to support local businesses when they have poor customer service and management doesn't seem to care. Three times it's been this way. Never again.

It’s a Sunday afternoon on Father’s Day. Cold stone supposed to be open after 12 but yet they aren’t. Now we are at McDonalds next door watching people turn back because they still aren’t open. Pretty wild it’s almost 2pm and they are still closed. On Father’s Day none the less.

Good place for ice cream. It is really good ice cream. Nice to see such a place like this in Twentynine palms.They also have like this slushee place. I have not tried that yet.They also have a Rocky Mountain chocolate place look like a lot of good treats. I have not tried this either but the ice cream is great.The souvenir place is a good idea now. I know it was there before any these other places but now tourist can come for the ice cream and other treats and check out the souvenirs as well. Good idea for them.

Such a wonderful addition to 29 palms with a super friendly staff and amazing treats. My new favorite spot in the high desert. Open later than other spots, this is the place for a cold treat. Have been multiple times and will continue with what has quickly become a delicious twice a week tradition.

Staff was very rude and hateful. They were screaming at patrons about wearing COVID masks, which in the current state of things makes perfect sense, except for the fact that the staff repeatedly removed their masks to talk on their phones, and one staff entered and exited the location multiple times without ever putting on a mask. I am one who believes in following and enforcing rules, but it is hard for staff to enforce rules they themselves do not follow.

Today me and my family went into the establishment and was meet with prejudice. After waiting 10 minutes someone came out the back to help. To me and family's surprise we were not serviced another gentleman behind me was then another gentlemen was serviced. Upon asking why I was told by ERIC. He didn't know who was first while shrugging his shoulders. He still didn't proceed to service me he began cleaning the counter. When telling him I still wanted ice cream (it's my son's sixth birthday) he ignore me once again and I decided to leave. So much for ice cream for breakfast on your sixth birthday nice job ERIC. Yes , I am black and the other customers where not. Prejudice.

Our first experience here was two signature creations with the wrong ingredients. We thought we would give the place another chance since we figured everyone was new and learning. My husband grabbed two more signature creations today. He had to go back to the counter and ask for fudge sauce because she didn't put it on. I noticed mine did not have one piece of Oreo cookie which is listed in the ingredients. I just figured I'd make the best of it because I wasn't driving back and the ice cream isn't cheap so I'll just enjoy it. I did, until I found the hair. My husband doesn't think they were wearing hair nets, but they may want to start.

This Cold Stone shares the space with three other store in the heart of twentynine palms. There is a travel and souvenirs shop, a smoothie bar, and a chocolate shop. So whatever the family wants for desert this Cold Stone location happens to have it all. There is adequate parking but with the military base so close there can be lines, be prepared to wait. When you get service it will be with a smile, friendly, and prompt.

Cold Stone should be embarrassed to have this as an affiliate. The asst manager on Friday night 5/28 should not be an any leadership position. She was rude, would not get chocolate or birthday cake from the back, refused to make a shake ten minutes before closing and then ran and closed the door three minutes early as two other customers were walking up.

I watched an employee berate another employee for being pregnant a group of friends and I were sitting at the table inside when we saw the employee start disrespecting a pregnant woman if that's how you guys treat pregnant people than I feel bad for who ever raised that employee and am appaled that management would allow this to happen.

Want real ice cream this is the place to go. The price you pay for a regular come/cup will cost as much as a 1/2 gal @ Wal-Mart but your taste buds will be rewarded by the superior taste of any flavor you choose
