My husband bought a bottle of Excedrin migraine at this store for me because I was having the worst migraine (sweetest husband ever), but when he brought it home to me and I went to open it, I took it out of the normal cardboard box that these types of medicine bottles usually come in and when I went to unscrew the lid I noticed that the silver seal had already been completely torn off. Even though I knew he hadn’t, I was desperately hoping that my husband had torn it off for me because I was suffering and really wanted to take one! But he confirmed what I already knew, that he had not torn off the seal. I honestly debated about just taking one anyway but ultimately decided I shouldn’t. I was curious though, how many, if any, were missing; so I decided to count them and was a little surprised that all the tablets were in fact there. I still didn’t want to risk taking one though so my husband decided to take them back to the safe way where he got them but upon arriving realized he had thrown away the receipt at the time that he had bought them (not thinking we’d ever need it again).I understand that stores probably experience a lot of theft and people trying to “return” things that they didn’t actually purchase, but the attitude of the returns lady was rude and had no interest or concern in helping at all. After seeing my husband standing at the returns counter and then making him wait (as well as customers behind him) for over 5 minutes more (because he hadn’t pressed the bell) she finally addressed him, he explained the situation to her and our concern of the medicine being tampered with but she said to him that there’s nothing she can do without a physical receipt. My husband always plugs his phone number in when purchasing items there and he also told her the date he bought it and also had his debit card that he used to purchase it with and she refused to look anything up, stating “Nope. Need a physical receipt.” My husband left the medicine there and walked out.I understand that different stores have different policies and all but I find this very disappointing. The lack of concern of potential tampered medicine being sold on their shelves and the uncaring spirit that we are now $15 out and have no product is disheartening. Times are tough and even though in one way $15 isn’t that much or a huge deal, in another way it is a big loss.Being that this kind of medicine comes in a bottle that is also packaged in a cardboard box, is not really something you think of as needing to be opened to inspect the sealing prior to purchasing…but I think I’ll be doing this from now on or at least opening it right after purchasing it with my receipt ready in hand just in case.1 star for poor attitude of the returns lady and being unhelpful towards a real problem.

For years, I have not shopped at Safeway for years. Their fresh fruits and vegetables were very good and $$, along with the other items in the store. At checkout , I got sticker shock. If it was me, I would buy their fresh fruits and vegetables and go elsewhere for other products.

Prices aren't always the best deals in town, and I have gotten sick after eating the fresh prepared food here more than once. Atmosphere is great and there's a great selection of inventory, so come here when you feel like spending a little more for a bit of specialty in your meals.

Nice clean Safeway with a Starbucks inside. They have a great deli with lots of sandwich selections.

Aliyah helped me with my floral arrangement. It looked beautiful. So friendly and helpful. I'm afraid this type of customer service is hard to find these days. She was able to take the stress away. Thank you Aliyah in floral!

Update: Went recently in desperate need of strawberries and I swear I picked up 6 packs of strawberries ALL filled with mold. I just don’t understand. If you guys know they mold quickly are you guys not checking them every 3 days and taking out bad ones? Instead they’re left there and all $6. I assume they didn’t fix the problem sadly.Used to love this store but not anymore and I was a regular shopper too, went there 1-3 times a week. First, their produce doesn’t seem to be regularly checked upon. There will be fruit visibly molded like ALOT and avocados super old and not switched out. Also why is 1 organic avocado $2.50? I understand it’s organic but seriously, almost $3 for 1 avocado? That’s just insane and greedy. Mind you half of them are old and not even fresh. Also, I told the manager this before but no changes were made, but where they make sandwhiches, all the food is just open. There is a entrance door right by the sandwhich area so as you can imagine lettuce and all these other food items to make your sandwhich are out in the open, no covers, meaning flies are just getting on them. Wouldn’t hurt to add some covers on top of the items that are going into peoples sandwhiches and out in the open all day. Also need to update their self check out machines. When you type in tomato for example there’s like 12 different options that pop up. Manager said how 3 of those options were the same thing. I didn’t believe them and not sure if I was even charged right. Please take my concerns into consideration as someone who is regular shopper and has seen these issues over 6+ times and have seen posts regarding these matters on a local group page asking if others have noticed these issues.

Called to get deli hours. Told 7pm. Arrived at 6pm - deli closed. Asked manager “oh someone called in” Needed salads for dinner, apparently no one was able to scoop out salads from the case for me! I guess you need experience for that! Unbelievable!! No sign out on counter, nothing. Several people waiting. Someone was washing dishes in back and he walked out and said he could cut meat but not scoop salads out! What is going on with customer service anymore! I wouldn’t have came from Crows landing if I had been told they were closing at 6.

Strawberries looked like apples. Thin red skin, white and crunchy on the inside. Had to throw all of them out. For my complete package to be this way you know it's not the only one. Good place to shop though.

I came here today to get a few things for my sister , son, and a friend that are spending valentines day. Today was hard it will be the first year without my 15 yr old daughter that recently passed away in December so I got a balloon for my daughter so we can release it today with messages for her and it needed more air so the lady was nice to have someone put air in it for me. Although it did accidentally pop they did offer me another balloon and were really sympathetic to me. It's hard to hide feelings and not show emotions around others. Thank you for this I chose a cat for her as it was also her favorite animal

Did an online pick up from here last Friday, during their $5 Friday SALE & noticed a discrepancy in the bill. Was gonna let the over charge go, but decided last minute to give them a call before I got there. The employee that answered the phone was SUPER helpful, he fixed the problem & friendly enough to not get bothered by helping someone. (If it were Walmart, problem most likely wouldn't have been fixed & you'd be able to tell the employee was bothered by you) I know you know, what I mean 😂Idk if the same person who helped me over the phone, was the one that brought my groceries to the car, but he was cool too. You could tell he/they didn't hate his/their job. Hard to find that kind of GREAT customer service these days!

I came in to get a cake for my mother's birthday. The cake was a bit sweet and not to my liking, but the girl behind the counter had great customer service skills and patience. She had a long line and was alone, but was very courteous and helpful with everyone she helped.

Just like all grocery stores Safeway is good for some things and not so good on other things. This location has a great staff, always happy to help. They have a Starbucks located within the store as well as a DMV kiosk. Restrooms are always clean and stocked. Love the bakery department. Great prices on soda, frozen foods, and meat. Over priced on pantry items and produce. They offer self check out and require you be a member to get the sale prices. Large parking lot and easy highway access.

Please train all staff to NOT hand formula to customers. Today, the lady that gave me the formula I needed hand it to me and 2 minutes after another lady approached me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. Undestandable that formula is taken to the register just let all staff know the rules to avoid uncomfortable moments.Thanks

I was looking for a Prime Rib for Christmas, I called a spoke with Fernando and he saved a nice prime rib for me while I did my last bit of Christmas shopping! He set aside 2 different ones so I had a choice! I was very happy with his selections!!

2nd time being here and it was not a pleasant one. TANYA is a rude cashier, I'm not sure if she needed a break or extra day off. After ringing me up she tells me to swipe my Safeway card I tell her I don't have one before I could finish she says well u need it for the sales items. I said I have my phone number. I type it in and get the sales price. I proceed to do the checkout process then I forget I have to transfer money to my account, this takes awhile being that I don't have great service inside the store. Then she tells me she's gonna suspend the transaction because she now has a line. I ignore her, then ADAN comes out tells me he will help me as soon as I'm done connecting with my bank. (This takes awhile). I cannot get signal so I tell him I'll be back just keep my stuff here. I go outside finally get signal, go back inside pay for my items, before I leave with my cart he says he has to "unlock" the cart. As if I was gonna runaway with all these items. Oh and I had my nephew with me witnessing all of this. Racial profiling, so embarrassing. Store Manager hope this doesn't happen again!

It's 11:00am on a Sunday and there is 1 cashier open with line down the aisle. Lines also with self check out....I come here for better service. I don't work here, I am not scanning my own groceries. From a disabled person this does not cut it.

I bought a cake for my grand daughter’s birthday and had found a piece of paper inside it I took a picture of it and kept the receipt and return to the store and spoke to Vance the manager who was kindly enough to give me a refund and a free cake of choice I want to thank him again

This is a nice grocery store. They usually have everything I'm looking for. Their staff are very welcoming and fast at check-out. Their prices are higher than most stores, so I'm giving a 4 for affordability.

The best Safeway i’ve ever been to! The employees go above and beyond and are super nice and helpful! My boyfriend would call and go during their shipment days to go see if they had any squishmallows and they went above and beyond for us, especially Katie! Thank you so much for being so helpful and kind with helping us find what we needed!

The staff are really friendly. They have a wide variety of stuff. I love the deli section. They have some great sandwiches, the ribs and jojo potatoes are really good as well. I also frequent the Starbucks here the staff are great and very friendly. Havent had them make a mistake without catching it before giving me my order. The store is always clean and orderly. Definitely recommend shopping here.

Very clean store, a regular for me. The Deli is exceptional. Prices are fairly high, however if you sign up for "Just 4 You" (no charge) and take advantage of the membership deals and coupons as well as rewards, you will find some great prices.
