The store always looks great, I come for the produce since it’s always well kept.Today I experienced Very Rude, Very Unhelpful Cashiers. One started with an attitude and sent us to another line and when sent over our new cashier did the whole eye roll and over exaggerated exhale. Very unpleasant during whole process. Shortly after I seen why since she ran out to have her cigarette break. I get it but Geeze we are all people working to make a living and spending our earnings in places where it is getting expensive all over. I’ll be glad to take my business elsewhere. Where they’ll at least pretend to appreciate the customers. 300$-400$ a week for groceries with our family in today’s economy is bad enough. I don’t need the unpleasantness to go with it. 😒

Terrible Cashier, rude, acts as if she is doing me a favor by ring up my groceries. I bought a reusable bag. The Cashier just set it to the side. She finished with my order and left my groceries sitting on the counter. and just looked at me. Then she proceeded to place the strawberries & the avocados, and oranges at the bottom of the bag and tuna cans on top. I took the rest away and told her I would do it myself. If she doesn’t like her job she should get one that she likes.

Clean, friendly and nice sales! I think this is about the only place in Tulare where you can bulk items for a decent price. All of the workers are always in a great mood too always smiling and helpful! Keep up the great work guys!!

It's better than foods co by far. But it's mostly a bulk item store. They are clean and friendly and they bag your groceries for you!

The vegetables are really good. They have their own brand called First Street for many different items and for most, I like better than the original companies. It is not my favorite place for beef but all other varmints are great. Great place if you have a business because they do have stuff in bulk that range from vegetables to food containers. Beer and liquor is available

They have everything you would want or need. The prices are a bit high (higher than other places). They always run out of stuff pretty fast (someone needs to figure out the ordering stuff a lot better so they don't run out of stuff as fast). The produce isn't the freshest & are moldy most of the time. The manager here is a bit rude when you're using coupons & is extremely rude when you point out a price error they made (they have the price marked on shelf & we walked back to check, took a picture for proof & she got upset, ripped it off & yelled about it not being the right price even with it being the right date, item & everything).

I run a small business called Jazzy’s Sweet Treats and earlier this year I introduced ice cream sandwiches, ice cream sundaes, and adding a scoop of ice cream to my treats (a la mode)! But first I was on the quest for the BEST vanilla ice cream sold in a 3 GAL tub in the Visalia/Tulare area!I stopped by Smart & Final one day in Visalia off Mooney and saw they had the Thrifty vanilla ice cream sold by the 3 GAL. Yes, Thrifty as in the brand that we all know and love when you buy a scoop (or two) of ice cream at Rite Aid! It’s super creamy and ultra delicious! I think people began to also realize this because I have had the hardest time finding it at either Smart & Final location in Visalia lately. I had a big event coming up, the Springville Apple Festival and I wanted to have the Thrifty ice cream there for my customers but when I went to both locations in Visalia, all they had was their First Street brand vanilla ice cream! I was super bummed because it doesn’t even come CLOSE to Thrifty. 👎🏾In a time crunch, I went ahead and bought two First Street vanillas cuz I really needed ice cream at the event. But something told me to look up other Smart & Final’s in the area and I saw they had one in Tulare. When I pulled them up on Yelp ..they had terrible reviews because of the customer service. I was like “Okay, I’m gonna call them and see if they can turn around their 2 star reviews and give them a chance to deliver EXCELLENT customer service for me”. And they did just that!I called them at about 10am asking if they had any Thrifty vanilla ice cream in a 3 GAL tub”. The employee put me on hold and came back and said “We’re out BUT let me see if our truck is due to have any on it. It’s coming today around noon.” She put me on another brief hold and said “Yes! The truck is gonna have 3 Thrifty vanilla ice creams on it! Would you like me to put one aside for you when it arrives?” I asked her if I could have 2 please and she said sure! I also asked if it’s possible to exchange my two First Streets for the Thrifty, she said no problem! Just bring your receipt.So once noon rolls around, I call them to confirm if the truck has indeed arrived with the Thrifty vanilla ice cream. It had and she reassured me they already had my two Thrifty’s set aside with my name on them all ready for pick up! So I pack my car with my ice chest and ice packs, go to my kitchen here in Visalia to pick up the First Street ice creams from my freezer and drive down to Tulare ensuring they don’t melt and make the exchange. Right when I walk in I noticed they had pulled my Thrifty ice creams out of the freezer and put them on a dolly by the registers in anticipation of my visit!HUGE shoutout to Daisy in the freezer section (and I believe the managers name was Jaclyn)! You saved my event and it wouldn’t have been possible without your outstanding customer service and going above and BEYOND to help a stressed small business owner with something as simply as vanilla ice cream! 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!

First and foremost customer service is A+. I know that if I need help finding a particular product, I can rely on their friendly staff to help me out. Secondly, their shelves are always full and the rest of the store is always clean. Lastly, the produce is best in town. It’s always fresh and ripe. Kudos to all the staff there.

Always clean and well stocked.*** They had an issue with the Bank Card reader. She had to do a Reset on it from under the counter on my side and wait for it to reboot. Then she sent me to a different cashier to finalize the transaction. I questioned what happened and the reply was... this happens all the time. What a pain in the butt. If that's true, you folks need a new system!

I always come here to bulk buy but my cashier daizy was being super rude I asked for bags and she only gave me one? and she just tossed my stuff on the side , the rest of the stuff I had to carry by hand and on top of that she was talking and giggling with her co workers and taking forever and on top of that she over charged me I didn't complain because it was 3 dollars and I'm in a hurry on top of that there was people behind me , if people don't like there job thats understandable but don't take it out on people , this place needs better management because the one they have here seems to be too relaxed and especially very rude and laid back and this isn't the first time they seem to have people going in to buy stuff from them so I will have to go somewhere else.

The store in tulare just hired new employees i was in here this morning i must tell you the checker by the liquor at 8:30 needs to work on her customer skills. Im in a good mood but she didnt reply when i said hishe never talked only to tell me my balance. I said bye she rolled her eyes . Put usual employees back there friendly. If she can't be friendly get another job your store is about friendlynessand its kept well stocked some hard to find it

This place is better than Walmart. It's loke a mini Sam's club with option to buy bulk in everything. Prices are better than Walmart. A lot of selection for every product. Place was clean. You have fresh produce section too. 10/10

The store itself has great sales but the veggies aren't as fresh as you'd think they would & should be & the employees aren't very friendly & there is a couple employees here who will give you a hard time over coupons. They even fraud by not following the rules that are stated on the coupons & when you ask for the manager they won't get the manager for you & if you have to pay for bagges then you would expect them to be usable & not fall apart. (The picture I'm posting shows one of the handles missing on it). I'll make sure to go elsewhere for now on! (I was asked to do an update review so I am, I've been shopping elsewhere like I said I would.)

The store is great I've been going in there for a while I go in there for parties or barbecue stuff that I need but recently smart final has just downgraded I've seen recently by girl named Michelle she's new there and I seen her a couple times being mean to the cashiers and I've talked a couple to these cashiers and they tell me that they have been written up by her. I don't think that's right these cashiers have been doing their job they're for a while. Friendly but there's new worker that's higher than the cashier's name Michelle is writing them up for no reason and she's mean to them she's yelling at them. I've seen her yell yell at a couple of the cashiers and that's not right I love this store I love the people that are there the employees are nice and their. Friendly but since this new girl Michelle is here she's ruining the Tulare Smart & Final and if I keep seeing her yelling at the cashier's or any other than employee's. I'm going to go to corporate and Report her and demand her to be fired because these people are working and don't need to be written up. They're providing food for their families so that's this is my review at Smart & Final it's good but this one woman Michelle is not.

This Store was nice, clean and laid out well. My son was looking for bulk honey & he saw online that it was a available at Walmart but when we got to Walmart they didn't have any in 80 ounce size so I thought our best bet would be Smart & Final. He looked online & searched their website but it didn't come up but we stopped at the store anyway & they did have it in the size he was looking for. It was wildflower honey in 80 oz/5lbs for $11.99 So that worked out great! We found it in one of the first isles towards the west end of the store near produce section & at the south end or back of the store by the Jams & Jellies.

The worst Smart and Final I trade with on a regular basis. To many empty shelves or product locations . Sometimes they don't have everything that is advertised in the sales papers. Not nearly as enjoyable as Visalia and or Handord locations

I normally have a good experience at smart and final but not today. I had to bag my own groceries and when the cashier rang up my milk at almost $5.00. I said that the sign said $2.79. I was told that it was another brand that was the $2.79. The cashier then told me to go get the right one and to take the other one back. Normally they call for someone to get another item but not this cashier. I was not happy about it essentially since my back was hurting.

Good place to buy bulk with out a membership. Some things are cheaper elsewhere some not. Really depending what your looking for. Everything from huge roll of cling wrap to Dino nuggets. Friendly staff.

I love to grocery shop at Smart and Final. They have great product you don't usually see at regular supermarkets and the prices are great. I love buying the buckets of ice cream from here. They are quality ice cream.

Three stars because the cashier was rude. I shop here all the time and I never encountered a rude cashier until today! I had to pack my own stuff. She was just rude! Everything else was great.

I fine what I need and smart and final especially around the holiday seasons the cashiers are very pleasant and friendly in the store is very clean I will continue to go back into the store.
