Pros: Remodeled bathroom and having a kitchen are big pluses. Nestled in beautiful forest. Friendly staff. Great value overall.Cons: The rest of the room could use some remodeling along with a new bed. Nothing really negative but just keep in mind this is not a five star hotel.

Where do I start? I was traveling alone during a storm. The river rose and blocked highway 101. They answered the phone at 10 p.m. and took me in. The room had a giant warm duvet and the best pillows. I felt safe and warm (especially with the adorable gas fire place) Will be back. Larrupin' Cafe is a walkable distance. Perfect place for a romantic weekend. Gorgeous place. LaShawna and Linell take care of their guests.

My mom and I stayed at Trinidad Inn the first week of October and had a WONDERFUL stay. We stayed in the chicken themed room with two full beds. Room was clean and was cleaned each day by friendly staff. We had a cot brought in for the last two nights when my husband flew in and he had plenty of room to spread it out either in the room or in the kitchen! Kitchen came fully stocked with pans, plates, and utensils. The grounds are GORGEOUS. Nestled in the woods, it's so peaceful. There are grills and a firepit for guests to use. We had a fire and made s'mores (firewood, lighter, kindling, and roasting sticks provided!) it was so nice! The only downside was the walls are a little thin, but the inn attracts people who were asleep by 9-10 so it wasn't a problem for us. The inn is for sale and I'm hoping the new owners keep it how it is! Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit the Redwoods or Trinidad.Rooms: Suites with kitchensNearby activities: Redwood National and State ParksTrinidadKayak Trinidad- kayaking toursFood & drinks: Larrupin is less than a mile down the road and it is AMAZING. So worth it, the entrees come with a charcuterie app and a side salad.Noteworthy details: Firepit w/firewood, marshmallow roasting sticks providedGrillsBeautiful grounds w/ flowers, fairy lights, etc.

This is so hard to write because the location of this place is AMAZING!! And if you spend a lot of your time outside it’s great. But inside it is not clean. We had to ask for room service and when they came they only changed our towels and emptied the trash. No vacuum, sweeping or cleaning the bathroom. We had to ask them the next day to come back and vacuum and clean the kitchen floor. They said they don’t normally do that. There were cobwebs on top of the lamp and shade. There was someone else’s coffee still in the pot. The couch smelled so bad I couldn’t even sit on it.Again, the best location but they need to get better at cleaning. They are very nice though.Rooms: Not very cleanNearby activities: Take the trail to the beach!!

We had a great stay at the Trinidad Inn. The location is amazing - in the redwood forest with a private trail that is perfect for a small hike to the beach. The room was very comfortable, spacious and rustic. There are 2 fire pits and we had a great time roasting marshmallows. The staff are there if needed and very friendly. Highly recommended!

What an unexpected gem located very close to many trails and in such a beautiful, but small town! We spent the weekend here on a couples getaway and absolutely loved it! The rooms have full kitchens and nice showers. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If you want to take the trail in the back of the hotel, just know that there was a large tree blocking it as of 2/13/23 and we were unable to get down to the beach like we would’ve liked.

Love finding little cabins like this. This place was great! We had a small little full room #9 that actually had tons of space for 2, everything you need in the room and more.. The bed was so comfortable the mattress and the feather blankets. Enjoy their grounds and take a walk. What an adventure.Safety: 3 locks on our door these 2 girls thank you

Fantastic stay last week, had one of the rooms w/ a full kitchen, so saved money by cooking in. They had everything I needed, pots, pans, knives, spatulas, utensils, cups, plates bowls and even a salad bowl, even a Mr. Coffee machine and filters. The room, bed, location and staff were all great. It is quiet with the highway a grove of trees away and it's about two miles to town where the grocery store is open 8 AM to 10 PM. The shower was amazing, and very important with me doing two grueling hikes @ Prairie Creek Redwoods SP. I will come again.

We stayed in June '23, had a room with two beds. The good news was that it was spacious and clean in a quiet woodsy location with friendly managment. The bad was that the room cost $171, all in. We stayed the next night in a similar room for $100 less. The place is badly worn, the wi-fi was so weak we kept dropping to an even weaker Verizon. One bed was soft as a hammock and the other had worn out springs, hard on my ribs. One bed was so close to wall, and nailed down, that we couldn't get in or out of that side of the bed. The lighting was awful, dark as a cave, with dark shades on small lamps, hard to see anything.

I was taking a road trip with my favorite traveling buddy(my pooch). I had no reservations after a long day of driving and was trying to find a motel I stayed in 40 yrs ago. First call was Trinidad Inn and spoke with Holly. She was extremely patient and helpful trying to help me find the motel I was looking for and also offering me a room just in case. I did finally find the other motel but it had deteriorated a lot since I’d been there last.Trinidad Inn was exactly what I was looking for a quaint, cute motel nestled in the giant redwoods. Close hikes to beautiful lookouts and beaches. There is a path directly from the motel to a sweet spot with a swing over the ocean. My room had a kitchenette with the old pale green tiles and original long enameled kitchen sink. Lg. refrigerator, full stove, microwave, dishes etc. and could be a one or two bedroom. It was dated but clean. Some of the other rooms I looked in seemed more recently updated but for me part of the charm is the history so I stayed for 2 more unplanned days. I hope to be back many times and stay in #8.Thanks again Holly you made my much needed recharge trip perfect!

Lovely place. Clean. Loved the kitchen. It was pre stocked with coffee, creamer, teas, and sweeteners along with all the dishes you would need to prepare meals. Lovely furnishings. In addition, there is a wonderful surrounding trail plus fire pits. (The path down to the beach is not affiliated with the inn, is entirely optional, and isn't beginner friendly but I, an avid hiker, loved that it was a 5 minute walk from the inn property.)

Awesome hotel with great location. We booked for one night after camping in Redwoods and it's exactly what we needed. Room was clean, service was great, and the grounds are quaint and well kept. WiFi works great, they have an ice machine, hiking trails on site, and a communal fire pit for guests. The inn is a few minutes from several beaches and downtown Trinidad, while also being right off 101 (and about 20 minutes from the south entrance of Redwoods). Incredible place and would definitely stay again if out this way ever again!

Peacefully nested just minutes north of Eurka Trinidad is a great place to stop. The Trinidad Inn has a variety of different options room wise for those who need a quick one night or are looking for extended family stay. The outside common area has a fire pit, bbq, lounge chairs, bag toss and a basket ball stand. There is also a trail (which I didn't explore myself) that leadsbinto the trees. They offer books and board games to borrow during your stay. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Had an excellent stay here and would love to go back again. We’ve camped at Sue-Meg State Park multiple times and love the Trinidad area, but this was my first time staying in a hotel here. The setting is simple (an unobtrusive small roadside motel) but charmingly and unfussily decorated. Everything was very clean and the staff was wonderful, friendly and accommodating. It’s right off of a main road, but there is very little traffic overall and I didn’t find car noises to be an issue. This is a great place to stay while visiting the Trinidad and Sue-meg area.

This place was great! Very clean, nice staff, beautiful location, and full kitchen. They had everything we needed to be able to make food from home, even foil! The only thing I would say is that I didn't like how the complementary coffee, sugar and tea were stored in the room. They were put in mason jars that previous guests would have access to, and didn't look the cleanest. There were also measuring spoons that were quite grimy and need a good scrub or to be replaced. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area!

Fantastic place. Stayed 2 nights in one of the suites so our family could enjoy hiking I’m the redwood forests and exploring the beach. The suite was clean and comfortable. The walk down to Secret Beach from the back end of the property is amazing. If you have small children, it might be a bit much.Mariva is a great host. We will be back!

We just stayed at Trinidad Inn for the 2nd time, and it will not be our last. We love the forest location that is also ideal for walking our dog. The rooms have been super clean both times and larger than most motel rooms. The beds are very comfy and the kitchen is perfect for preparing our (simple) meals. It is definitely a gem and I am so glad we found it.

We stayed in room 8, which is a suite that felt more like our own, private cottage. It looks like it was built in the 30's or 40's, which I loved! Adorable kitchen and bath (although the shower is VERY small, the only downside of the suite, in my opinion). If you are looking for large and luxurious, go to a $300 per night B&B in Trinidad. If you like a rustic cabin in the woods, this is your place! They have their own trail through some Redwoods, and you can walk to the ocean (the pics are on the trail). I wish we could have stayed a week! We will be back this summer, to enjoy the coastal mist when it is 100 degrees where we live!

The owner is a very nice, kind soul. Dogs welcomed ! A nice trail on the back side of the property. Beautiful location right in the middle of the redwoods close to the ocean. So close you can walk to it. The rooms are nice but walls are thin so be kind and unwind before it gets too late. Kitchen was great for cooking home cooked meals. Fridge and microwave. We cooked some eels and shared a small piece with the owner. Definitely will be back again with friends and family.

I thought this place was a perfect find not too far from the Redwood Forest. It was right off the road and easy to just drive in & out of. We arrived after midnight and our key was waiting for us just as described. The room was large and included a kitchenette, nice size closet, and bathroom. It was definitely more than we needed for our very short stay. I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and the decor was so cozy, almost like being at grandmas house for the weekend. The wireless internet didn’t reach our room, but wasn’t too big of a deal for us as we were just resting our heads while passing through.

Nice visit.Never been here but my family has. Even the simple rooms feel big. Having a kitchenette is great. We didnt cook, but made coffee and having plates n such is nice.Beds were comfortable. Nice location real close to 'downtown' Trinidad.I was impressed with the shower. It was a glass swing door with all glass panel as the enclosure, it was immaculately clean.. The place overall was clean and tidy.Fun games outside and small basketball court. There is also a trail thru the woods that leads you to College Cove Beach. About 1.25 miles easy hike to the beach..Will come again. Nice staff too.Happy venture's....

Love this place! We are so happy we stayed here over a chain hotel. Rooms were clean and it was so convenient having a full kitchen in our room to make hiking meals. Breakfast was served in the gazebo and included blueberry pie bars, bagels, boiled eggs and other goods! Everything was delicious. Trinidad is a very cute town!
