Can't go wrong with having access on base and enjoying some discounted prices on groceries with no sales tax! Meats are a little cheaper than most grocery stores. Usually no lines to wait for unless it is a weekend. Meat department offers special cuts on meats if needed. Cashiers and baggers are all friendly and always asking how you are doing.

Love the commissary, love the prices, love, the people. However, the store would run much faster if they ENFORCED their 15 items or less policy at self checkout. It’s gotten absolutely ridiculous with people in line for 20 minutes scanning 90 items. If they sped up their check out, this place would rock. Treat your employees well and they will treat customers well.

I like doing my shopping here. I don't think the general savings are exceptional. It would be good to see more savings on base. The deli is great. The family pack in the meat department is awesome and should be a model across the store. I was very disappointed to be told by a bagger that the baggers are only paid by tips, so as to motivate me to tip them for bagging my groceries. I thought that was cringe.

I've seen better prices at Wal-Mart and other grocery stores. Avocado over $1.80 when I visited there while same avocado was less than $.90 elsewhere. I asked two other patrons about the prices of which they agree; but the convenience makes it somewhat tolerable. Surcharge is still around as well.

Edit : Past 3 times we’ve gone, there were not carts at the front of the store. Had to walk to the parking lot to get one. However, there were plenty of baggers sitting around when we walked inside. If this changes, I’ll update my star rating. If not, it’ll stay.Fairly great selections. Clean and not cluttered.

Mc Cann's Irish Oatmeal-ready in 3 mins we have been asking about for a few months now. When will we see it back on the shelf? Frozen veggies almost empty. You people are Better then that.

Overall they are good but they never hold people accountable when they are in express or self checkout. They have a monitor but they don't do anything and let people with full baskets check out it's absolutely ridiculous.

Old filipina lady at the front in self checkout needs to check herself and learn what customer service means! Arrogant fool thinks she’s all high and mighty with a power trip. Last time I checked you work in the commissary, not the pentagon. She was being all sarcastic just because I was asking how to scan my veterans card since I didn’t know how to use the scanner. She said arrogantly, “All you have to do is scan it here!” I said I did that then she remarks rudely, “I’ll be right there then, relax!” I replied, “Lady I am relaxed and I’m just asking for help here.” No acknowledgement, no apology, and just nonchalantly has a conversation with the other employee. They need to hire more respectful and professional employees in this place. I don’t know what the Air Force standards are for customer service in their facilities, but it sure looks unsat in this despicable place. I’d rather go to Raley’s, much cleaner and organized anyway.

We visited the Travis AFB Commissary yesterday, 17 Jul 2023. A customer with possible neurological problems, was having difficulty with payment. The checkout clerk was so kind and patient with him. It's great to see people taking the time to show kindness. I wish I had gotten her name.

Prices aren't as great as they used to be, but overall, most products are priced appropriately or a little cheaper than off base.

It's a decent location, depends what time you get there it can be packed. Prices vary and sometimes walmart has better prices but the deli meat is worth the drive

Unfortunately the prices are not better than shopping off base. What a change from how it used to be. Prices wère much cheaper and you could save considerable money. Why the change and how beneficial to the service people and the retired military?. Prices should be much cheaper at this commissary to truly assist our armed services and retired folk.

The worst customer service. I can get better service going through self check out at Walmart. I am ashamed that our service men and women have somewhere like this to shop. Past due dates on so many items. Empty shelves. But all that could be forgiven if the cashiers were more friendly. I feel sorry for the baggers. They look embarrassed sometimes.

10/22/23 update: know you prices before shopping here. We found only maybe a few good bargains. But after paying the surcharge fee and gas, we really didn't save anything!! So disappointing!!!!!! We won't be shopping here anymore. Sorry Air Force/government.

Great service for my first visit. The gent in the hair care aisle was extremely helpful. Noticed other employees were friendly behind the deli counter, and cashier. Very nice commissary and reasonable prices.

I’ve been to many commissary over the years this place is dingy old dirty, not to mention horrible customer service. I witnessed the employee he’s a man that sits at the self checkout center being rude to customers, refusing to help them. Just sitting in his chair mumbling words underneath his breath.Employees don’t care about their job they just want the paycheck. They don’t care to keep the place clean. No sanitizing wipes to keep the carts cleaned nobody cleans the cartsShame on our military for allowing this
