My granddaughters had a wonderful experience here. They could not go on a trail ride due to their age. Christy the owner gave them a hands on experience by having them brush and clean her horse Dollar's hooves and then saddling up the horse and a ride around the arena.

Despite her busy schedule, Christy accommodated our horse-loving kiddos while we were visiting the area. Her combination of respect for the horses and rapport with the kids allowed them to learn so much in a short time. Meeting Dollar and learning to lead, groom and ride a horse was the highlight of their trip! We are so grateful for the opportunity to spend time at Wood n' Horse, and highly recommend them to anyone wanting some quality time with horses.

Weve been riding with Christy for several years. If you want to learn horsemanship, Christy is extremely great. She will let you know what you are doing right AND doesnt hesitate to let you know what youre doing wrong either. That is what i love about being taught here. They are great people as well.

My 9 year old daughter did Christy's summer horse riding camp and she had the most amazing experience. She got to be hands on immediately and learned something new everyday. I was impressed how much she learned in such a short amount of time. My daughter was a little anxious about being on a horse but they were patient and supportive and my daughter was riding in no time. I recommend this to anyone who is interested or has children who are interested in learning to ride a horse, it is a great foundation. Thank you Christy and team for this amazing experience! We will be back.

Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience today with a first lesson. The trainer was very rude when she spoke to the children, and then when it was my son’s turn to ride he literally was in the saddle for less than ten minutes. I love that brushing and saddling up the horse is part of the experience, but don’t shortchange the kids who are excited to ride a horse, while being rude to them. FYI I grew up competitively riding horses and owning them my entire life, and I’ve had at least 6 trainers in my lifetime, so I’m well aware of what this experience should have been. If you are looking for someone to be kind and encouraging to your child during a first lesson, I’d suggest trying another stable. She pretty much ruined my son’s first real riding experience for him.I hate leaving bad reviews, but I want to make sure no one else has this experience for first time riders. This may be a better fit for older and more seasoned riders - the horses were bombproof and looked well taken care of, and it was a cute facility, so I do give them props for that!
