They had hire robbers at the store now. I purchased a dog food worth 21.99 dollars and i forgot my wallet in the car. I came back cashier who said his name is joe he has charge me $2 donation without even asking me and when i ask him that who gave you permission to add $2 he was not even sorry. I really want to use abusive language but I m not using it. He did that coz i ask him to help me finding that food. He get irritated rightway when i ask for help.

One associate in particular is extremely rude and is not very knowledgeable of your product. It made for a poor customer service experience. Even my young teenage son mentioned something about how bad she was.

My go-to pet store. Good selection of natural products (they recently started stocking Stella & Chewy). Shout-out to the reptile staff, they are helpful and knowledgeable which I really appreciate. Thanks guys! I use the loyalty program and it gets me good discounts as I come in every week for my hungry beardie.

The male guy at the grooming department has no manners, no customer service skills and on top of everything else, he's plain RUDE, I don't understand why they have him talking to customers. We called to make an appointment on Dec 23th, spoke to him on the phone and were told to come right over, long story short, he had us going back and forth only to tell us it was too late and could not take care of our dog that day. I complained to the manager but sincerely doubt that anything changed. Will not be coming here at all for anything

We've used the Thousand Oaks Petco location a few times to have our very small dog groomed. The groomers have run significantly late every time. At the most recent appointment, our dog was crated over three hours before they even began grooming her. By the time the groomer finished her, she had been at Petco nearly 5 hours, which is hours longer than the scheduled appointment window. We had other commitments scheduled that afternoon that we were forced to cancel due to Petco's grooming department's extreme delay coupled with our inability to make alternate arrangements for our dog to be picked up on short notice. Even after that troubling negative experience, we decided to try one more time for a positive outcome, mainly because Petco is conveniently located for us. This brings us to today's experience. Today, on our way to the grooming appointment, we encountered an unexpected traffic delay. We ended up pulling into the parking lot outside of Petco five minutes late. Then, our dog showed signs that she needed "relieve herself" and considering how long she had been crated at her last appointment, she needed to be allowed to do that before checking her in (small dog/small bladder). Once inside Petco, I observed an enormous great dane pulling excitedly at his lead while (it appeared) waiting to be picked up at the grooming counter. Looked like the handler was not having the easiest time controlling the dane. As we approached, the dane started barking more excitedly scaring our small dogs. To help "keep the peace" and also out of caution for the safety of our dogs, I pulled our dogs off to the side out of the dane's line of sight, which meant we had to wait a few more minutes until the dane had been handed off to his owner and "the coast was clear" before approaching the counter to check in. By that time, we were almost 15 minutes delayed, and when I was finally able to check our dog in, I was told that the groomer was not willing to groom our dog because she was 15 minutes late. I will own that in the end we probably were almost 15 minutes late checking in, but considering how we've been inconvenienced by this Petco Grooming service every time we've booked with them, and given the set of circumstances encountered today, this outcome was both upsetting and disappointing yet again. Due to our unsatisfactory experiences, we can not recommend Petco Grooming. If you decide to try them, we truly hope you have a much better experience then we have had.

It is ok now that they closed their westlake village store and i have to drive here for supplies.They dont have Rams dog or cat apparel but they have raiders and we are not even in LV.. the food i give my cat has become sparce they have it it is tucked back there. Disorganized, minced in with flaked with pate. You got to make sure you select the right one.

I brought my dog in here, because I forgot her leash at my house in Scottsdale Arizona. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They were very concerned about my dog walking back out the door to the parking lot so I picked her up and carried her. I bought her new leash and collar was back out the door within 3 minutes. I give them five stars absolutely. So thrilled to see that Petco has moved into the Janss Marketplace from across the street.

Love the place and I appreciate petco having a place for these Animals and creatures. The thing is today it took a very long time I had made an appointment at 1:30pm on a Thursday and they didn’t finish at all! I had to take my dog halfway through his grooming. Poor dog 🤦‍♂️. It was already 5pm and I had to be at work at 5pm I was late and highly disappointed! I don’t understand why have a schedule if you’re not going to follow it? I know this might sound like a little bit too much but you never know when someone Is on a strict schedule and so when someone wants to be messing up, someone else’s schedule got ruined. Literally the straw that broke the camels back. This rating is based on how I felt this experience. I just had to keep it real one time. Not saying I won’t ever leave a good review but they honestly haven’t done anything extravagant enough to make me want to even thank them. Looking a little tired inside of that place. Someone needs to turn the lights on 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been shopping at Petco for three years for my puppy. I buy Great Food for Dogs, every time I run out. I bought a product (bedding) but it was too large for my car. I had hip surgery and couldn’t get to return it. And because I was over 30 days, they would not take it back. It was never used . All I wanted was a store credit, being I’m always buying all my products from Petco. So I will not be shopping at Petco anymore.

I went in excited and when I asked for help the employee was not friendly and made me feel extremely uncomfortable to where I did not end up purchasing anything and immediately left after interacting with her. You should probably hire happier people, it was very weird.

The aquatic specialist has been very helpful and more than happy to answer my questions :) also i have never quarantined any of the fish i add, and no diseases have been spread. The fish look like they really are taken care of here. The sick fish aren’t available to buy, so their health is regularly monitored. Sometimes there’s some dead bettas but when they’re sitting in a cup forever that’s expected.

Wow what an awful haircut. We waited three hours for a rushed job. We will never return to this location. What a disappointment and a waste of money. It’s extremely patchy and did not do the correct measurement for her hair.

We have come to simply love this store! We bring our two 70-pound hound rescues here for grooming (both full bath and just nails) and Becca is an absolute dream. Becca takes the time to care for our two as if they were her own. She is thoughtful and kind with them and a delight to work with. Eric checked us out and he was also helpful and patient as I walked through getting VitalCare today too. We just moved from DC and feel the experience here is the best we’ve ever had in our seven years of being dog owners.

I normally avoid large pet stores but I desperately needed some insects for my chameleon and stopped by here. I expected to only find crickets but they also had superworms, black soldier fly larvae, and several other good options.Also, big shoutout to whoever is taking care of the fish! Those cichlids are by far the healthiest fish I’ve ever seen at a PetCo!

Trying to select the product on line was very difficult - the system would not allow me to enter the Credit card payment. After calling the store, all was taken care off, and the service I received at the store pick,-up was very efficient and quick. The store employees that brought our merchandise to the curve side were very friendly and professional and offered more assistance or services which was appreciated! Great staff and service. I am giving only a four because of the glitch with the on-line ordering

This place is overpriced and the staff isn't as helpful as they should be when asking about items. There is a grooming place on site that requires animals be vaccinated in order to come, and restrooms. Pets welcome. I only come here if I have to, otherwise, I can get the same products somewhere else cheaper.

Very easy to order, order was ready for pick up and correctly filled, when I arrive d at the Petco's Thousand Oaks store, the employees were friendly greeting me as I walked in, helped me immediately finding my order right away and offering to help bring it to my car, while thanking me for my order several times! Yes, I will shop at this store again and tell my friends! Thank you for the great service.

The associates are always helpful and welcoming. They take their time to help me find what I'm looking for, and never make me feel rushed, even when they are busy. My store is well stocked and I can almost always find what I'm looking for. If I can't the associates will order if it's available. It's a great staff.

**Grooming salon** We have been taking our nervous dog to see Becca at the Thousand Oaks Petco grooming salon. I was wary about using a chain but Becca at Petco always gave my dog one on one attention. She really cares about the animals and I noticed that. Her in detail updates about how my dog acted throughout the visit were always really helpful. I’m thankful Becca works there!
