Prices were noticeably cheaper! The selections were huge with hard to find spices and sauces. you can get in without scanning to just check it out. Otherwise you can purchase the product as the shop. The store was huge. The alcohol section required an ID to get into the area. My favorite part was a latte was under two dollars and you can make it yourself.

This was an impressive first experience with Amazon Fresh. It's a grocery store that offers unparalleled convenience – all you need to do is scan a personalized QR code from your Amazon shopping app when entering and leaving. You don't even have to scan the items you're purchasing; sensors throughout the store automatically track everything you pick up. This truly embodies the saying, "I'm going to run to the store." You can breeze in, grab what you need, and leave in no time. I highly recommend visiting and experiencing it for yourself. If you prefer a more traditional shopping experience without the technology, they also have a few checkout stands to accommodate those who are accustomed to it.

A relatively clean/new facility - - and often empty of customers. Few if any of their vaunted Smart-Shopping-carts are offered here. Too bad that this location doesn't yet offer a Self-Checkout option 😕

The Amazon Fresh in Westlake Village (the Promenade) is the WORST!! Probably the SLOWEST checkout lanes and the most ignorant checkers. None of them know how to count and make change. Why not hire people who know how to count and make change. Will never shop here again at this location. No wonder it only has 2 to 4 customers at a time.

Went shopping here for the first time, I was surprised, the store is clean, well-stocked and lighted, the pricing is reasonable, and some items were priced really well, salad bar, hot bar, meat counter was nicely done, easy and fast checkout.

I went to this place for a package pick up and found the staff to be extremely helpful. The aisles were clean and well stocked and perfect atmospere for the truly paranoid that choose not to be near others in fear of catching a virus. I will be going back here to explore this place and to see the new products that might not be at my local supermarket. Many smiling staff members made me feel welcome and appreciated for stopping in. Support local retailers to keep people employed, and in turn, you can say you are doing your part to curb the homelessness that has resulted from people losing their jobs to computer and AI.

I ordered ahead and didn't find the pick-up spot, so I went in. The first person I saw was the greeter, and he was very condescending and just called me "my guy" a bunch. While not knowing any answers to my questions, he just said, "customer service." The guy at customer service was very nice, helpful, and respectful.I don't know why you would have someone as a "greeter" who doesn't know the first thing about customer service.

Relative to their competition…just average. Before I proceed, go give it a try for yourself. This review is based on comparison to their peer group. Meaning Ralphs, Gelson’s, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.The idea here, as I understand it is faster checkout because…no checkout. Ive been here twice and I will say. Job very well done for speed at checkout, except you dont get your total for two hours or so….so. I dont love that but I appreciate that bit of time saved. There are a few wonky procedural steps to understand to start there but once you get that down its not a big deal.Thats really the main reason to go. Its a clean, well stocked store and its efficient. But the lighting and ambiance may leave you cold. Think Fresh n Easy. I got lonely vibes shopping there and I went with Trish!I think grocery stores should be inviting and uplifting and make you want to spend a minute there. This one feels a bit like…Get your stuff and get out. So if thats what you want, well there you go.Like I said. The quality and prices are fair and it’s fast. I just didn’t love the environment or the delayed billing so. Sorry. Average 3 stars. Solid Store…Left me a little cold.My guess is it will get better, faster, friendlier with time.So I kind of want to give it 4 stars. But I also want it to do better.Hope this helps and like I said. Go check it out for yourself. You may love it!

The Amazon store is quite confusing as a newbie. I had to do an Amazon return and while the front door employee was VERY helpful the return desk employee gave me a stern talking to when trying to leave. I naturally gravitated towards the green swinging “exit” bar. I quickly found out that was not the way as the employee angrily let me know. Just confusing.

Had the worst experience at the Amazon fresh in Westlake Village. The old man greeting was extremely rude stating I can’t bring my stroller in and couldn’t shop there because my Amazon account wasn’t poccesing through the system. He escorted me out. I will call corporate and complain about that old man as he was very rude

Went into this store today and was incorrectly charged for an item that I touched on the shelf but didn’t pick up. Had to call customer service and to their credit they were helpful in refunding me, but such a pain in the butt compared to shopping at a regular store. Long story short, don’t touch anything unless you know you want it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

GREAT BUT, WARNING! Overall the store is great but the self scan and check out is not great at all!! When you add or remove things from your buggy, it doesn't update on your app like it does in other fresh stores. There's absolutely no indication that the items you have in your buggy are actually being scanned... until 20 min AFTER you leave the store!! Then you get a receipt emailed to you. I've had things added to my bill that were not even in my cart and had to call customer service twice to get a refund for them. Luckily they do have cashiers so that's where I'll be paying from now on until they upgrade their self scan and pay system. On the bright side, they don't charge by the pound at the salad bar. They charge by the container so you can stuff that bad boy as full as you'd like!

The store is very clean, well-stocked, and user-friendly. There are no lines and no waiting either to enter the store or to exit the store.

Great grocery store. Can shop quick and just walk out with the contactless checkout. Haven't had issues with being over charged.

Ok since y'all seem to have no chill when it comes to reviews- here's a for real reviewwalked around the store with a friend here are my thoughtsProduct Variety: 3/5. Some of the best I've seen for any store. There's so many options in dairy, and grocery. But they really lag behind in produce.Customer Service 5/5: employees were nice and dealt with the fact I had no idea what to do.Prices: 2/5. Ready made food is all overpriced. A rip off in my opinion. Normal products are over priced. They have a lot of variety in product type but the items are mostly expensive brands.Atmosphere: 1/5. The store feels like a warehouse only with cameras watching your every move.its a unique shopping experience but I can't see it being the way of the future.

It’s a unique grocery experience. I opted to not do self checkout because the process seemed not quite there yet.

I did a order online for pick up and I asked for two boxes of spaghetti noodles they gave me one spaghetti and one fettuccine. Do their employees not look what they’re grabbing before they grab it.

Best grocery shopping experience I've ever had. The most knowledgeable and helpful staff I've ever dealt with. Great selection of everyday products along with fresh produce, meat, and seafood. My kids loved the hot food, salad bar, and pizza.

Finally decided to check out the Amazon Fresh in Westlake Village, 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The parking lot was completely empty, not a parked car in sight, wasn't sure the place was even open. The entrance has "gates" to enter the store. Never having seen such a thing I was a bit confused by it and asked an employee about it. I think I disturbed him from his breakfast or something, he offered help with an attitude but really never answered my question before walking away and returning to his breakfast.I guess you're supposed to have an Amazon app on your phone? My wife directed me to another "gate" to enter the shopping area.We were the only shoppers in the entire market. This market has a sterile, industrial feel and layout to it.Employees are all young and seemed to have their heads elsewhere rather than at their jobs. I interacted with four employees, and they were all the same, young, disinterested, devoid of personality and minds elsewhere. To go down the wine and beer aisle, I had to present my ID to the beer and wine aisle attendant (never seen that before!), not just show it, but remove it from my wallet and hand it over to be scanned. It's quite obvious that I am more than old enough to buy liquor let alone just look at it, but rules is rules I guess. lol. My wife started to follow me down the aisle but was stopped by the attendant who once again demanded ID, so my wife didn't join me. I only agreed because this was my first time there and wanted to check their offerings and prices. After perusing every aisle in the market, time for check out.Uh oh, the same guy that wasn't much help when I entered the store. I put a bottle of wine on the conveyor, and he said he needed to see my ID. I told him I already gave it up at the liquor aisle, he said he needed to scan it again. Ugh. (Ugh because my license is rather difficult to remove from the windowed sleeve it's in in my wallet)The entire time this fellow is checking our groceries, he's dancing and singing out loud, quietly, but out loud. And doing a little dance. Yes, I already mentioned his dancing, I thought it was worth noting a second time. When done, he asked if I wanted a receipt, to which I said 'please'.With sort of in an 'over the shoulder' motion not looking at me, he handed me the receipt to which I said "Thank you very much", to which he replied nothing. Not a 'thank you' in return, not a 'have a nice day', no reply, nothing, just his continued singing to the music in his head. And his dancing. Did I mention that already?I can see why there were no cars in the parking lot or customers in this store. A weird vibe to the store, a weird vibe from employees, weird rules just to walk down an aisle of the market.Pros: The market was clean (with zero customers, it should be). Nice, clean, shopping carts (with zero customers, they should be)Cons: See above comments and add prices were no less than the usual market I shop at, and in many instances I noticed, prices were higher.I won't be back, obviously.

One of the best grocery stores in California. Prices are really good, and you won't spend any time checking out. Meat, deli and hot food sections are amazing. People may think it is a cold box, but you will get all of your needs and be out in no time.

They have wonderful soups. I love the tortillas chicken soup, clam chowder, and the chili. Why make it when you can buy perfection!

Stopped by to get some soup for lunch. Had never been before so figured I'd wander down the beer aisle to see what they had. There was a lady at the end of the aisle at a little stand. I thought she was hawking flavored vodka or something. But as I started down the aisle she barked that she needed to see my ID. Not to physically touch the merchandise. Just to walk down the aisle. So I played along and showed her my ID that shows I'm 59. Then she wanted me to tell her the expiration date which I told her. Then she told me that I would have to remove my ID from my wallet so she could scan it. This is just to walk down the freaking aisle mind you. Absolutely moronic. My hands were full and I wasn't going to play that game just to see what beer the store carries, so I just left. I can do that at any number of other stores without having to go through the "show me your papers!" routine. Terrible. Won't be back.

I’m disabled and I loved the store, it was my first time visiting as my gym is around the corner. It’s easy to navigate and very clean. Nice selection of items. David (store associate) was really rude the 2x I asked him for assistance. I hope that’s not how he treats everyone.

It’s a pity I did like the store but I tried to buy some Chardonnay with my Aussie ID & was told off by this strict bossy woman who wanted my passport! She was abrupt & so rude, I bought Wine previously with no issues, for a customer service job she had none!! Shouldn’t have a job! No sale from me that’s fine.

I am massively disappointed as a long time customer of Amazon. As many people on Christmas day received gifts from love ones from Amazon and had included gift receipts, it could be a 100 different reasons why an intended gift did not work. For me, for my Google Pixel Buds Pro, it was simple; I got the color fog and I wanted black. No big deal, or so I thought. On January 1, I head to Amazon fresh in Westlake, California and with Pixel Buds and gift receipt in hand I proceed to drop off my return. Talk about speed and convenience! Well no, no speed and no convenience.I give the customer service representative my product and my gift receipt. The associate says that I first have to log into my Amazon account.... Ok that's weird, next I have to scan my gift receipt's QR code and pick a location to drop off the item. I selected the wrong location and the associate said no problem I can fix it on my end. I said perfect. The associate then prints a label, slaps it onto my unopened, brand new cellophane wrapped product and expresses to me " You will see a credit on your account in 10 minutes to an hour. I said do I get a receipt or confirmation of drop off he said when the credit is issued it will come. It feels weird to me but I accept it.We are now on day 7 and I have yet to get my credit for the item so I can simply exchange it for the color of my liking. Your service representatives the 5 that I spoke to told me that per Amazon's gift exchange policy that this is would take 14 minimum to show up. This is unacceptable and not competitive at all.For example: if I got the same gift from Best Buy, and tried to exchange or return the said item I am issued a gift card or the item of choice in that same moment. Amazon is known for speed and convenience this neither speedy or convenient. It's slow and a nuisance. This experience leads me to believe that it's better to choose other retailers when receiving or giving gifts because I know that other retailers will not make a gift turn into a hassle. If I knew that a refund would still take two weeks minimum I could have sent off my product INSTEAD OF dropping it off at the Amazon Fresh customer service.I gave Amazon Fresh my Pixel Buds, and in exchange of that transaction I have NOTHING to show for it. This has been an awful experience and I sincerely.hope that I am an outlier and not norm.Have a great day.

Great deli . Walk in and walk out using the Amazon app skipping the register. Look up at the ceiling and you will see hundreds maybe thousands of cameras tracking your every purchase 🙄huh. Not bad roasted cauliflower though

Cold and sterile. The hot foods looked like they were cooked hours earlier and just left to sit there. Totally unappealing. The prices are higher than other grocery stores. The employees are clueless...except for the one that is at the front of the store explaining how to get inside. If you want to purchase alcohol, be prepared to show your ID. The manager was flippant and didn't offer any assistance whatsoever. You're better off going to a store that actually wants your business.

Great place to shop on a daily basis, there are always several items on sale, the price measure does not vary much. Place is always clean and there are always staff to help.
