Love The Reptile Shop! Ran into Johnny at the Reptile Expo in Bakersfield and purchased our first bearded dragon on a whim. Made a point to go to the Tulare Expo the following month. I never imagined I’d be a reptile kinda gal 😊 My kids and I fell in love with the bearded dragons especially the ones at The Reptile Shop, they are treated with such care and you can really see that they love their reptiles. We now have two new additions to our family. We went into this knowing nothing about them but Johnny is extremely knowledgeable and so helpful even after the purchase. Always quick to answer any questions I have regarding the care at home. Our second little guy was shipped to us and he was packaged safely and overnight with very little stress on our dragon. I appreciate the support I’ve had after we got our pets home (because we knew nothing), I appreciate how they love their reptiles, I appreciate the knowledge that they have in their reptiles…I wouldn’t go anywhere else and Johnny is the absolute best! It’s evident he loves what he does!

By far, it is my favorite reptile shop in CA. They are so super helpful. I got this guy who they rescued from Florida. He is very flighty, and every time I go into the shop, I ask for advice on how to tame him, and they have all the answers. Their food selection is wonderful, and they are just so knowledgeable on everything! With 3 Tegus, 2 beardies, and a ball python, I've always got questions about one of my babies!

I Purchased this little guy before the holidays, the helpful people at the reptile shop let me know they would not be able to ship until Jan.03 and only then if the weather permitted. This was the very first sign that I made the right choice in choosing our newest family member from here. My little guy arrived very safely packaged and at a safe and healthy temp. From my visual inspection he is absolutely perfect. I will update this post at a later date with updates on how he is doing. Super professional, helpful, patient, and caring place. If you are in the market for a new pet or anything you may need for your reptile this is the go to place!

I ordered my female honduran from The Reptile Shop online. Even with living in the East coast time zome, they got back to each question in almost 15 minutes or less. I have had zero issues with the snake since her arrival. True to her species she eats like a champion and is much more calm than any of the baby hondos I've produced in the past, which tells me she's potentially been handled more. Thank you to Johnny for all of the help and the amazing new addition

I went into The Reptile Shop last week looking for some help with a little setup for an injured Blue Belly Lizard my kids found in our backyard. I've never had a reptile as a pet, but Johnny and Matt could not have been nicer or more helpful. They helped me find everything I needed to make a great home for my kids' new buddy, but they also didn't take advantage of me and were mindful of ways to help us get what we needed without breaking the bank. I'm sure this won't be the only reptile my kids will welcome into our home in the coming years so we will definitely be back to The Reptile Shop and I'd definitely recommend this business!

Our little guy just arrived!! He had a little flight delay from California to Tennessee, but his packaging was perfect and still warm on arrival! Communication with the shop was perfect and they knew what was going on with transport even before we did! Can't wait to watch him grow!

I’ve purchased three pairs of Rosy Boas from the Reptile Shop. All arrived health and are doing great. I am most impressed with their customer service. The last pair was marked as DELAYED by FedEx and then scheduled to be delivered 4 days late. I contacted the Reptile Shop but they were already on it. I got the package the next day. So not only do the sell and ship great snakes, but they track them all the way for you! These guys are great!

Very Beautiful reptiles at this breeding facility. The employees there are very informative and passsion they have for these animals. There's many high end animals and if you're looking for a specific kind this is the place to go to. If you're looking for something specifically and they don't have it, they can have it ordered in for you.

Got my first snake from here and am incredibly happy! I'd heard corn snakes can be nippy when they're young, but my little guy is ridiculously docile and tolerant despite my novice handling skills. The staff here clearly care about the animals and make sure they're well socialized before sending them to their new homes. I highly recommend getting a pet from this store!

Long overdue review! 👍Done business with The Reptile Shop several times. They definitely exceed the standard on cleanliness, quality, and professionalism. Two of those are my opinion, but the cleanliness is an undisputed fact. I realize many customers aren’t too concerned about that, but as an exotic animal owner myself, that matters a lot. Dirty environments promote health problems. 🙏I wish all Pet Shops demonstrated the upkeep like The Reptile Shop. A+ 💯

I ordered a female Suriname Boa from The Reptile Shop, via Morph Market! It was a wonderful experience and the owner, Johnny, was incredibly knowledgeable and quick to respond to any questions/concerns I had! Our girl arrived quickly, just over 24 hours after purchasing and she is doing wonderful so far. She looks great, is super easy to handle and is really calm/content, especially after being shipped over 2400 miles! Cannot recommend The Reptile Shop enough and will definitely check with them for any future reptile needs.

Purchased 5 mandarin rat snakes from this store online. Johnny the person I dealt with was always very professional and knowledgeable. He took the extra step and sent me videos of each specimen as well as answered all my questions in a timely manner. Shipping was a breeze. Snakes arrived on time and very well packaged. I've been coming here for years. Different locations but slowly becoming a full selection reptile/amphibian/invertebrate store. I buy all my feeders here which is great becuase my snakes only want live prey and very few places have such a big feeder selection. The owner isn't there as often but he's a very nice guy. Staff is super knowledgeable and friendly except for the older gentleman, he's the only one that needs to learn to put a smile on his face and actually great all customers that walk in.

I can't say enough good things about the Reptile Shop! I had a very sick leopard gecko who was in a stuck shed state (purchased from another retailer). One very knowledgeable employee of the Reptile Shop spent about 45 minutes with me, explaining proper care, lighting and nutrition (This is my first reptile 🦎). He even encouraged me to have the the courage to remove the stuck shed myself 🤣 When I took the steps they talked me through, my lizard was nursed back to health. It is apparent that they love these animals and are very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone that is interested in reptiles, herpetology or proper care.
