Very unique place to eat. About 10 tables inside, and about 15 more outside if it’s not to cold like it was when we were passing through. But we warmed up by fire stove named Daisy 😊. While drinking Lavender Mimosa’s that were pretty tasty. We did eat lunch also but I forgot to. Take a few pics. What can I say. I was hungry 🙃. Just know our meals were delicious. They have great friendly servers. You can tell the locals love it there. And that’s always a good thing. Great atmosphere.

Each year we make the trek from lake Tahoe to Genesee, forgetting how far it actually is on the way there (>2 hours), but feeling vindicated for the journey on the way back. It's one of those places that is clearly a labor of love by it's owners: the food, the books, and the staff are the best in the region. I'm not sure why it exists, but I couldn't be more thankful that it does!

A definite jewel here outside Taylorsville. Every item we have tried has been delicious. Both dinner and breakfast/brunch. Hard to describe their style. Best I can come up with is American with a World fusion twist. The chef enjoys experimenting and knows how to balance flavors. You will not be disappointed.FYI - The restaurant has limited seating, so best to reserve if possible.

This is an wonderful restaurant with incredible food and I love the atmosphere. Every time we go here the service is great and when you can sit out on the patio you really can’t beat the relaxing view of the valley. The menu offers pretty much something for everyone and the ingredients always taste fresh. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Hidden gem in a stunning location! The food is delicious, the cocktails are inventive and the setting is just perfect! The staff are so welcoming and kind. Definitely worth the trip. My husband and I went for a Saturday morning brunch. We spent more than two hours eating, drinking and relaxing on the front porch enjoying the beautiful scenery. Highly recommend!

We were the only ones eating. We had 6 adults and 3 children. Took 3.5 hours. Horrible service. I never got refills on my tea. Never even asked. Owner and came in with 6 guests and they had prompt service. Even got food the same time we got food... the food was wonderful. Minus mine being cold. And my kids burger was still mooing. Tasted great when we got home and cooked it in microwave.... I have gone up in summer and we had 20 people and the service was amazing and didn't take 3 hours.

We have been to this place twice. It is only 40 minutes from Lake Almanor but totally worth the drive. They have grass fed Wagyu beef on the menu and it is amazing. The renovation on the building is perfect--I love that they kept the old fashioned chain on the toilet. It is a quaint atmosphere and the food is delicious and service very personable. Thank you for bringing a little of Napa to Taylorsville.

We ate lunch here and all had the amazing Wagyu beef hamburgers with very good potato salad and boy was it all delicious. We also enjoyed ginger beers that went well with our meal.

We had the beef sandwich w/ dip. The dip was alittle salty, but otherwise very good. The fries were very good. I recommend calling in a reservations as they fill up fast on Saturday.
