Wow I cannot say enough good things about this coffee shop! First it is is so so so adorable from the outside and the inside. The service is excellent! The people working inside are so sweet. The coffee is made perfectly and they serve the best coffee cake bread I’ve ever had in my life! I will be dreaming of that coffee cake bread for ages!

My family rented bikes and rode the trail from Palisades into Tahoe City and stopped at the Dam Cafe for a late lunch. We dropped in right before closing but the staff was gracious and the food was fabulous despite how busy they were. They had a gentleman outside playing music and he chided me for not clapping enough. I would have been upset but he was super nice and talked to us between songs. What did we order? Mostly smoothies and coffee and it was all very good. I love the ample parking and convenient location. I also love supporting local businesses and this one is a good one.Michael DelehantyCompass Real Estate

This past week, my daughter and I visited Tahoe City, and we are from Texas! We came to the Dam Cafe to grab some breakfast, since we read some good reviews for the most part.Well, we both had a breakfast sandwich with coffee, and it was SO good!!! We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next two days of our stay, and got breakfast, lunch, and a Blueberry Granola smoothie to snack on later in the day, since they close at 1pm.Lucia and Pamela do an excellent job running this place and kitchen! They are so friendly and kind! I came across some reviews that complained about how long it took for their order or the size/amount of food items, and these are my thoughts about those kind of comments:1. I think some of these negative reviews were written intentionally to discourage people from going there.2. They make your food when you order, and if you happen to go in a busier time of the day, there's a chance you might wait about 15 minutes, or maybe a bit longer, but trust me, it's worth the wait!Food items we ordered and loved are: breakfast sandwich with avocado, breakfast burritos, lattes, iced coffee, smoothies and coffee muffin. Everything tasted so good.

Very cute cafe in a great location. But the prices and serving size of breakfast leaves very much to be desired……Got a breakfast burrito with avocado added on extra, a breakfast sandwich, hot tea (so pretty much hot water and a 50 cent tea packet) and an iced mocha and somehow it comes out to $45 absolutely blows my mind. I burrito I ate in like 7 bites…. When I go to a breakfast place I expect to not be hungry after buying something but that burrito was the smallest most expensive burrito I ever purchased…Very disappointing, that they have no prices on any food items. Food was good but just not worth the price at all. If you love cute little cafes this is it! But be warned it will cost and arm and leg. Great place but really needs to work on the prices. Literally took to small bites out of my burrito in the picture and you can see how small it is. Normally not one to leave a bad review but I was extremely disappointed

What an experience at Dam Cafe. The staffs are so friendly and super helpful. I ordered breakfast sandwhich and chai tea latte. The food is so soulful, tasty and fills you! So is the beverage. I had the best chai tea latte so far. The owner of the cafe is also so friendly, on our way out she greeted us ans asked if we had a great breakfast! Highly recommend to everyone who visits Tahoe! Also Tahoe Dam is just on the opposite side of the cafe! :) Will visit again when I come to Tahoe!

I love this place but sometimes they have overcharged me a couple times. When I've gotten a sunny d, on the machine it said freshly squeezed orange juice and it was 5$ for one. Thought it was strange. Happened again next time. Then one time I got charged for an actual sunny d, which it said on the machine and it was either 2$ or 2.50$ this time. Thought it was strange why sometimes they overcharged.

What a great experience! The second you walk into the cafe, you are greeted with the home-y atmosphere, the smells of deliciousness and the friendliest people ever!! I ordered salmon cream cheese bagel and .. omg! Yum!! Everything is so fresh! It tastes AMAZING too! The portion is great to share but I had it all to myself. My husband got a bacon egg and cheese with an avocado and he loved it too! Chai latte was also out of this world fantastic.. but what makes this place the hit and the place to not miss in Tahoe City is the people! The owners are the friendliest people and have a smile on their face all the time. What a great experience! What a great way to start the day! We will be back!!! If you are reading this, GO STOP THERE!!!

Scone cost $4.82 with tax and was basically a Bisquick biscuit with fruit? (Couldn’t find any fruit except two on top for show). Would be an acceptable addition to the scant egg burrito. Egg was cold, avocado rotten, small serving for $9.00 with tax. Very little seating. Serve yourself coffee. Located on busy road. Two stars instead of one because coffee was good and dog friendly in outside seating.

Love the Dam Cafe's burritos! One of our favorite lunch spots in Tahoe City. Fresh, quick and the service is excellent. Plus the location is perfect - right by the Truckee River and the historical Fanny Bridge. Can't wait for them to reopen!!

What is with the trend of no prices listed? How much is a burrito? How can i place a value to cost for beans & cheese? The only prices listed are fornon-edible merchandiseThe place offers too much on the menu for their ability to serve coffee,In a time. The place is filthy. The hidden business of online ordering fails to benefit the humans standing in line.Jen & Glenn were nowhere in sight,Just 3 Hispanic women working nonstop at minimum wage;i gather?

The best Cappuccino in all of Lake Tahoe. So hard to find baristas who know how to make a classic Cappuccino but this charming little Cafe delivers! Their home made pastries are also a home run!

In Tahoe from San Diego for a wedding. My GF is making the cake for today and we were both up early and needed some breakfast. I am glad that this was the only place open because now I found a gem for any time I am back. The staff were all amazingly kind and made me feel right at home. The breakfast burrito was delicious with tons of peppered bacon and sausage.

We were so happy to find a place that opened up at 6am! The coffee drinks were delicious and the service was fast. The sandwiches they serve are premade and cold, but they have two microwaves for heating.Vegetarian options: The veggie burrito was delicious.

Family cafe, very warm feelings after visiting this place. Good variety of bagels, croissants, sandwiches and tacos i guess (not sure). Great for a breakfast or lunch or just 'grab-n-go'. Coffee also is good (cappuccino, latte etc)

The Dam Café is situated right near the creek in Tahoe City, on the corner of an insanely busy intersection. It’s a cute cafe, with a small but adequate selection of expensive (but all the food around here is) sandwiches and smoothies. I had the Neptune Tuna Sandwich- The tuna is made with the interesting twist of grated carrot. I enjoyed the sandwich and recommend the Dam cafe if you’re looking for a casual lunch at small hightop or a table outside.
