We had a terrific experience renting a paddle boat and paddling around the Commens beach. We have no prior experience. Theyoug Englishman from the shop gave me a brief instruction before handing me the paddle. The instructions were concise yet extremely clear beneficial. I was pleasantly surprise that I was able to stand up and paddle arund and had a great time.

We LOVE Tahoe City Kayak - can't say enough good things! We've been working with Andrew and his team to offer kayak trips for girls at our dance camps in Tahoe every summer since 2006. It's always a favorite activity of campers and staff. Thanks for all the amazing memories!!

The gentleman on the beach at the tent were very friendly, professional and helpful for us newbies. We had a family of 4 adults and 1 small dog. We had fun in the 2 person kayaks trying to get in sync. For all of us it was our first time. AND the water is so crystal clear and beautiful surroundings with the mountains in view. The best experience we had in Tahoe - thank you !!

He stuck with me through the sale, showing the additional gear needed & helped set up rack for getting it Home, & gave excellent advice for help in my area. Great place here in Tahoe City!

Me and my 11-year old had a great time in a tandem kayak for the sunset tour. It was a nice, quiet, and cool time to be out on the water. We learned many interesting facts about Lake Tahoe from our guide and my kid was super into it! We will definitely do this trip again.

I had a wonderful experience With Tahoe City Kayak and Paddleboard. Josh was our sunset guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and was fun to be around. He made sure before getting out on the water that the group knew how to use the paddle, and got to know our level of experience on the water and if in the water. Safety and Fun were his two top priorities and it showed. Being out on the water for sunset was incredible with the views we had and we were the only group on the lake so it was nice to have it all to ourselves! Thanks for a Great time !

Andrew was so knowledgeable and helpful for our tour. He took it at a great speed ensuring everyone could keep up, gave a tutorial before we left, and kept it entertaining the entire time. It’s a little tough to see sunset as you’re on the west shore but we caught beautiful colors on the clouds behind us. A great way to end my trip! Highly recommend.

What an experience! Their staff was very friendly. Helped us set up and right on the water. There was a little glitch about the reservation tho. Two days before the reservation I suddenly received email saying my reservation was cancelled. But I didn’t do anything. So I called them and asked what happened. I was told someone called them to cancel but we agreed he got the wrong name. So he helped me book again.After kayaking we also went to their store in the city to look at kayaks and accessories. Again they were very friendly. Talked about all the differences of different kayaks, and recommended truck mount and bars for carrying the kayaks too.

Simon (Sy) was our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and lake. We had an amazing time. He gave a little lesson on proper paddling before we took off, and we had a nice pace going out on the water with a few breaks to ask questions and take photos and hear stories. Would highly recommend this tour. it was well worth it.

My boyfriend and I went on the sunset kayak tour and had a great time. Our kayak tour was originally supposed to be on Wednesday but we were coming from the other side of the lake and got stuck in some bad construction and were going to be late. I called the office and they were nice enough to reschedule our tour to Friday. Our guides were Joshua and Jeffrey. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and its history. They took pictures for us on the lake and sent them to us afterwards. Overall, great experience and would recommend to others!

Visited Tahoe City recently and had a great time on the lake kayaking one day and paddle boarding the next. I don’t think I caught their names but the guys working were super helpful and informative. Very relaxed vibe all around, well worth it, a highlight of the trip.

This was our second time renting paddleboards from Tahoe City Kayak and Paddleboard. The employees were very helpful and the rental process was smooth. The lake was a little choppy so the employees even offered to trade for a kayak if we felt uncomfortable. I highly recommend them!

Visited Commons Beach for my 35th birthday. The process to rent a paddle board was seamless and easy. The staff was friendly, welcoming and kind. They made sure I was ready and prepared for by mini adventure. Price feels worth the experience, but not sure if competitive for the area.

Had a great time on a sunset kayak trip last night. Si(mon) and his partner did a great job orienting the group, taking into account their experience levels. The trip went from Commons Beach to the Tahoe Tavern Pier, and then back again. Everyone enjoyed the trip and the stories.

My husband and I purchased a Bote kayak from TCKaP, and the experience couldn't have been easier. The employees were very attentive and happy to answer the many questions we asked them prior to our purchase. Their pricing is very competitive. I won't be buying my next kayak anywhere else.

These are the best tubes I've ever used. They do not deflate halfway through your time using them they stay inflated and comfortable. They feel durable enough for the river floating as well

We decided to demo 2 Wilderness Systems kayaks from this place for 3 hours. We chose this place for the ability to demo different brands if we wanted to. Lots of Hobies, Perception, and WS. We had a great time. We just walked up and got what we needed from the beachside rental tent. The only thing that I think would be cool is if they had storage lockers for your gear when you are done. It is nice to be able to choose the brand you want to try and they will count your rental price toward your purchase, which I think is cool. I would rent from this place again.

We had a great time! Easy online rental, pet friendly kayaking! Your rental includes life jacket and dry bags! So much fun! My friend and I rode tandem with my pup and it ended up being $50 for the hour. No better place to kayak than Tahoe Blue!
