I love Swigard’s! Staff are all good people, and it is always a pleasure to shop here. I am constantly blown away by the level of inventory they are able to fit in this small store. They always have what I’m looking for for all my house projects.

i went there looking for a stanley 40oz tumbler. when i asked, an employee said they didn’t carry stanley in that shop. when i was about to leave, i see a stanley cup on a shelf. so i went back to the person i asked before and told him i saw they did carry stanley. he looks it up on the computer and then says, “i would check the back but i’m pretty busy.” (he was talking to his pal) shame on y’all

I cannot say enough good things about this store or the employees. They not only helped us find the chains and snow socks we needed to get home through chain control but they also helped make sure we got the chains put on correctly. Thank you to everyone at this ACE for all of your help!

Do not go here.The manager was so rude.We have spent thousands here and came to buy a bbq today and he just disregarded us when we asked to see if any were new in a box vs pre-made and covered in dust.Won’t be coming back here again and regret ever spending anything here after today.Would recommend going to mountain hardware in Truckee or Home Depot instead. Disappointing.

Great inventory of stuff. Older staff very helpful. But prices 50-75% higher than Lowe's and Home Depot. Understand that they can't get the volume prices at the bigger stores and their costs are higher but what costs $24 at a big box store is $39 at Swigards. Then again, to their credit, they offer convenience and easy access (no drive to Reno) The tradeoffs in life.

Whatever you need, they won’t have it. Shelves stay empty for months with anything that’s useful, but, if you need beach towel in January when’s there’s 6 feet of snow outside, they’ll have plenty. The people who work here are miserable every single time I’ve been in, I think that speaks for the lack of management. I’d rather drive to truckee than even walk inside this place, the owner needs to take a serious look at this establishment. Truly saddened that this is the only hardware store option in town, they need some competition it seems.

Every employee should know the lay of the store and I don't know should never come out of an employees mouth. I really like this store. It has almost everything a person could want or need. Great job!
