There’s a deli in the back that has the best sandwiches, sushi, and salads! If you’re looking for a quick and healthy snack to grab before a trip to the lake this is my favorite spot! They also have benches outside to relax amongst the trees 💕

Best little market around. Healthy food, good grab n go house made lunch & takeout items (my favorite is sushi roll #1, the bake-at-home pizza dough, and the vegan tapioca coconut pudding). Also they have a great craft beer, wine, & non-alcoholic beverage selection. I pickup my Mountain Bounty CSA here every Thursday afternoon (on the left in photo), and fill in the rest of what I need in the store (they give away boxes in case you forget to bring your own bags). Staff are awesome, great vibe and very helpful. Favorite store on the West Shore.

I love the vibe this little shop has and the Uncommon Kitchen they have inside is such a good idea. New Moon has a wide selection of groceries from fresh organic produce, sprouted nuts/seeds, vegan desserts like cookies/ice cream, fresh ground nut butter, and more. Like others have written, a bit more expensive but that's for supporting local businesses and I'm all for it. Reason for the 4 star: uncommon kitchen uses preservatives like sodium metabisulfite and citric acid in nearly all the refrigerated food that they prepare, why?! If it's prepared fresh daily, it should just be whole ingredients. Was heart broken! Love the shop's energy and selection (aside from those pre-packed preservative meals - hope that changes!)

Pathetic third time this past few weeks purchasing items and the clerk fails to complete the order nor fully bag all itemsKids in store are hanging out of shopping carts which then topple over and moms are oblivious bc on phonesCalled several times to inform the store of missed items no one answers

What a wonderful place to shop. The employees are very friendly and helpful. All the produce looks and taste delicious. There are picnic tables off to one side of the building to sit, eat and visit with nice umbrellas too. The store is clean and items are easy to find. Forgot photos, next time. I will be returning!!

Wow! Even Better than last time I was in.This Grocery Store is the best in Tahoe City. They recently expanded the produce and beer section and now have the whole downstairs of the building! Great selection now always had amazing quality. Not to mention Uncommon Kitchen the midweek only locals secret dining place. Shhh.

The best organic brands, high quality produce, just great all-around selection for those looking to purchase high quality ingredients and health foods without the insane city price tags. Awesome gluten free options too! Love that they carry the Siete brand specifically. Great staff too!

Living in DC and visiting Lake Tahoe we really missed the choses of food, especially vegan, vegetarian and generally healthy. This place was amazing. Made us homesick but nice to know we could find all the delicious things to keep is healthy and wise!

I love this store! Bread and produce are top notch! But the staff, wow, incredible!! Brittany and Kristy are the most professional grocery store staff this side of the Mississippi!! Unbelievable product knowledge. They walk the walk and talk the talk! Stunning shelf stocking performance every time I'm in the store. Can't forget about Cassie: she's a lightning rod of speed at the checkout stand. I leave the store every time filled with Bliss and a feeling of oneness with the universe and staff. This is America's Grocery Store. Let God bless it.

Uncomfortable experience. My husband andI regularly go to the location in Truckee where staff is friend, upbeat and has good vibes. Today I decided to check out the Tahoe City location because I live in Squaw and it was an uncomfortable experience . Staff was overbearing and had a "get in and out" approach. I when in to reach organic protien and the guy with toe glove toes was pushy. Never again.

New Moon is the place to go for natural foods, fresh produce, organic this and that and so much more. Uncommon Kitchen is located at New Moon and is my top pick for lunch in Tahoe City. Love this store...always a Wonderful experience..with very helpful, knowledgeable employees...they put little purple signs up on a whole month sale..with almost 1/2 off discounts..so I bought all of my Stir Fry condiments..in fact..in just bought All of them..lol..Great music too..yesterday...in had the pleasure of listening to Jimmy Page...:)...I love Tahoe City!...and this great Natural Foods store!
