We recently stopped by the store 2 days in a row over a holiday weekend, and both times there were notes on the door saying that the person running the shop would be back in 15 minutes (we never were able to get in for some shopping). Not a great customer experience. However, I'm still giving three stars as previously we've found good bargains here...

Stop in to see Ty and his beautiful dog (his Chief Marketing Officer) at New & Used Tahoe Sports. Ty has a variety of ski and snowboard related items in his shop, and you can find some amazing deals.

Awesome place to find used kid & adult gear at great prices. Everything is checked for quality so you won’t take home any duds. You can also drop off your old stuff for consignment - yay circular economy!! Also owner Ty is super helpful and cool. 10/10 recommend 👍

The owners are incredibly friendly and are open to answering any and all questions. There's no stupid question and they make sure you don't feel like a dummy asking them questions, especially if you're fairly new to the area / winter sports. Best place in the area to get your sport clothes! They offer such awesome price-quality items, and in a very good condition. If you are in north lake tahoe, this place is a must!

Shopped at their old location last March, right before the world shutdown. They had a great selection of high-quality, brand name recently used winter sports clothing, boots, skis, and accessories for the whole family. Prices are higher than, and the other thrift shops in the Truckee - Tahoe City Area, but you are buying great, high-quality, name brand stuff. Worth the price if you ski or snowboard more than a few times during the season. It can be cheaper than renting.Can’t wait to come up and shop at the location.

Had a great experience with this store!! I was in Tahoe and forgot some of my ski clothing. Rather than fork out my hard earned $$$ for overpriced resort stuff this store had basically 'like' new stuff for a fraction of the price and it's so close to Squaw it was totally worth the short trip to save so much money. Will be visiting here my next trip to see if can get some better stuff on the cheap. Had more stuff than I was expecting!

Decided it was time to get skis of my own, and say goodbye to rentals.So glad I came here. They helped me find some great skis for my ability level, as well as boots and poles, all for less than I probably would have paid for new boots. They had a ton of stuff, and were really helpful!

I had done both consignment and purchased from NUTS and the experience and service were on point! I would recommend using them to get rid of unwanted gear: jackets, pants, snowboards, skis, boots, goggles. Also check out what they have regularly as it tends to change from day to day.

Very bad experience, sold 2 pair of skis & paid no money to the owner. Claims that they own the equipment if it is not sold in 60 days. Never said that when skis dropped off. Don't use this business

I came to Tahoe with nothing but the clothes on my back and a dream. I visited New & Used Tahoe Sports and asked if they could turn me into the greatest skiier in history. After an incredible VIP treatment of outfitting and choosing the perfect equipment at unbelievably affordable prices. I set out for me first day on the slopes with my new gear. Here i am four months later and i qualified for the Olympic trials and i couldnt have done it without my friends at Tahoe sports truely believing in me.

I consigned some clothing there, they charge two dollars a month for an online cosigner profile, and they never set me up with mine so I could not check on the status of the stuff I consigned. I have tried contacting them by phone and email multiple times to see if I can collect my stuff or a check and they do not answer either. I stopped by the store and it says they are closed until may 1, and on the phone it says november 1.
