We really enjoyed our short two-night stay here. The room was well-sized and comfortable for the two nights. Parking was easy, self-check-in a breeze, and the room was lovely and toasty for a winter’s night.Well, it is in the centre of town, though in the off session (late March), restaurants close around 8 pm, so be aware. As mentioned to owners and in other posts, the walls are pretty thin, but thankfully, it seems owners are aware of this and looking for a solution.Rooms: Well appointedWalkability: Centre of town

Cozy motel rooms with a FANTASTIC location to walk and explore Tahoe City. Our room was clean with an enclosed porch to sit on as well, but had no view of the lake or mountains and the porch smells a little like cigarette smoke. Great communication from the owner via email before, during and after our stay, including being sure there were no issues during our stay so they could fix anything we didn't like.Other than the rooms being a bit dated and not having a view, it honestly felt more like an AIRBNB than an inn. Things like we arrived to a cold room due to an issue with the furnace we had to fix ourselves and we were asked to be sure to take care of any large trash before we left. I understand things happen, and I appreciate there may be staffing shortages in Tahoe City, but my expectation of an Inn is having staff available to deal with problems and trash, etc., and there was none evident here.A great spot we would probably stay at again overall!

We just stayed at Mother Nature's Inn, in Tahoe City. We were looking for a dog friendly venue and this was perfect for us. The room was cute, with lovely Tahoe decorations, including small fridge, microwave, coffee/tea/popcorn/chocolate and tea. They also had dog bowls and poop bags. Also there is a dog park located in the back of the facility. The owners, communicate with you on the spot, it has a lock system where you'll be given a code to enter. This was new to us as we're used to lobby service, but everything worked out just perfectly. They update you and check-in quite often to make sure you have all the information or help that you need.Give them a try, they are located in a good spot where you can walk to good restaurants, fanny bridge, beach and a great walk along Lake Tahoe.

I stayed here 2 nights while doing thru-hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail in September. We had a great stay! The rooms are very cozy and quaint. I'd imagine it'd be very cute during the winter time. You book through a call center and there's no one on the property, but I spoke with the owner concerning a package and she was very nice. Best part is the location! Walking distance to pretty much everything, including the beach. Fat Cat Bar and Grill is next door which had great drinks and food, and a laundry mat next door if you're doing the trail or staying awhile.

Stayed here for a night and found it to be a decent stay. I’ll start with the pros - communication with both the owners and the call centre that handles maintenance team was excellent. They were most responsive and helpful. The room was very cozy and homey. I love what they’ve done with the little space they have.Checkin and checkout was a breeze.Cons - the plumbing is super sensitive. No tissues in the toilet - we faced an overflow issue, but thankfully it was just the water. The fact that tissues should not be flushed was mentioned on a small note but definitely can be made more visible. Disposing off tissues in any way other than through flushing is slightly icky to me, but that might be personal. There are almost no outlets to charge near the bed which was a minor inconvenience. It would have been great if that had been there. The room was a lot smaller than in the pictures, but worked okay for us.Would definitely consider staying here again if not for the plumbing issues.

This is a run down motel being advertised as a boutique hotel. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything (including “intimate” sounds, bed shaking, wall banging) - if you have children, I do NOT recommend this place. The furniture is faded with loose legs. The bathroom has mold on the caulking, cracked paint, and moisture damage. Also on arrival, the door was left wide open with snacks right inside…even though there was a recent bear visit and we received multiple reminders not to do this. The price is extremely inflated. Just pay extra money and stay in a proper hotel. Only pros are - dog friendly (even though our dog was terrified in the room the whole time) + location is directly in middle of restaurants/shops in Tahoe City.

Hello,The room is good, but parking is really a horrible experience, the parking lot at inn was full last night 1:00AM, your email mention the additional parking position but without any photo instruction, I did find the location you mention in the email, but it says no parking at night, I was very helpless, me and my girlfriend spent near 1 hour to find the proper parking spot. I really don’t understand why you guys didn’t give a more detailed instructions for that additional parking spot, and I tried to message you at last night , no one reply, really really a horrible experience, image, freezing cold midnight, very tired and sleepy, but spent 1 hour finding the proper parking spot due to your simple instruction, I hope you can improve this.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but couldn't. I have never slept in a hotel bed where I sink way in to it. My wife and I had a terrible night sleep. People should know this since most places provide beds on the firmer/semi firm side. Aside from that, this place is great. Great mountain vibe decor, great location, check in/communication was smooth. We would definitely stay again if the bed situation was better.

The front desk was helpful and even made an exception with their strick check in time to allow us to arrive at 2pm instead of 3pm. Unfortunately we got stuck at the airport and couldn't check in until 4pm! We called to let them know and thank them anyway. The room was cozy, clean, and quiet. Beds were very comfortable.Walkability: Right across the street from the Tahoe Yacht Club, Rosie's cafe is right next door, beautiful lake view, located right beside the golf course.

The moment we walked in we decided to stay a second night, we would have stayed for a third if we didn't already have plans. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Loved the woodsy decor.Communication with management via text was easy with prompt replies. Our request to stay a second night was accommodated easily, as was a request for a slightly later check out on our last day.Fridge and basic coffemaker in the room, microwave and Keurig just up the hall with a good selection of coffees and teas.Good restaurants nearby. Great pizza at Rosie's just out front of the hotel. Delicious breakfast BLT to be had across the street at the bagel shop.Looking forward to staying here again.Rooms: Warm and inviting.Walkability: Easy walk to restaurants and shops and of course to the lake.Noteworthy details: Self check in, you will be texted with a code to access your keys. Communication with management via text, easy and prompt responses.

We had such an amazing time in Tahoe and this little gem made it so much better. Pet friendly and very accommodating. We were right beside a big open field/dog park that was perfect for our pooch. Also very conveniently located so a quick drive to the mountain, but also you aren’t skiing, it is centrally located with lots of shopping within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Tahoe.

This place is super nice. The location is great, the room is clean, cozy and has everything you need for a good stay. It’s a family owned business and they do a great job taking care of things. We’ve stayed here several times and one time we accidentally booked the wrong dates and arrived without a reservation - they went above and beyond to help accommodate us so we would have a place to stay.

This motel is so cute and cozy! Rooms were very clean, check in and out process super easy. Location is perfect, right across the street from lake and plenty of things to do within walking distance. Bed, linens and pillows were very comfortable, looking to buy a comforter like theirs for myself 🤣. The shower actually had water pressure!! I cannot say enough good things about this place, after staying in several "budget friendly" motels on our trip it was nice to stay at a place that was actually comfortable!! If you are in the area, stay here!

This is in a great location! Exactly as advertised + even more personalization and cuteness.Walking distance to hikes, the water, food, drinks, shops, etc. The actual room was cute and personalized with lots of mountain and bear decorations, and received a personalized chalk board note welcoming us for our stay. The only things to keep in mind is that it is a small parking lot and the walls are thin but did not hinder our experience. Can't wait to come back!

Our honeymoon accommodation in North Lake for a few days! We were actually snowed in for one day, and the owners went above and beyond - clearing the car park and even clearing the snow off of our car! The room was spacious, was heated well and had the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. There was coffee in the room, a fridge, a coffee pod machine outside, an ice machine and a microwave. Also a good location as it’s away from the busy chaos of south lake, which is only a short and picturesque drive away. Thanks for having us!

Everything about this inn was welcoming, from the hand written welcome sign, to the dog treats for our furry friends. The decor was perfect, the beds were comfortable, the hot drinks for all (coffee, tea & hot chocolate) and popcorn were a thoughtful touch, everything was clean & the daily check-ins were nice. We will definitely be back with our puppy! Thank you for making our experience truly wonderful!

Wow!! What a hidden gem! I’m still shocked that this lovely inn wasn’t completely booked when we stopped by on a Saturday night. My boyfriend and I were on a road trip and hadn’t booked any hotel rooms in advance. We were looking around for a place to crash for the night and he happened upon Mother Nature’s Inn. Sarah was so kind and helpful and got us booked and checked in within a matter of minutes. She even rushed to the room and added a personal greeting to the board before we arrived. The room was superb! Clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we could have possibly needed or wanted. There was even a book/game rack right outside of our door. The inn is conveniently located within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants and we even got up early to walk across the street to catch the sunrise. We were sad to leave!

Stayed here over NYE with our two dogs. I had read the reviews, but the hotel bypassed any expectation I had. Being a pet friendly hotel, there was no pet odor(I'm OCD). Location was AMAZING!The rooms had plenty of space. And were fully stocked with teas, coffee, towels and extra blankets. Also, we took advantage of the dog park right behind the hotel. Having two large dogs this was amazing! I also loved that they provided us with a 'pet sheets' without asking, in fact there were two in our room. I always have to ask for these. We loved how homey Sarah and Frank made the room for us. I look forward to staying here again!! <3

My husband, our two dogs, and I stayed here for two night last week while we were in Tahoe for ski lessons and I can’t get over how wonderful this Inn was!I happened to stumble across it on google maps while deciding on a ski resort, and it was impossible to find anything that compares! Between the affordable price, genuine appreciation for dogs being part of the family, incredible recommendations for nearby activities, and the location, I clicked “book” faster than I ever have before They charge a very small pet fee, provide a food bowl for each dog and a large water bowl to share, a dog sheet for the bed, extra blankets and pillows, dog treats 🐶, and a great book of suggestions for food and drinks!Check in during covid was super easy, our room was immaculate and adorable, oh and nice and warm despite the freezing nights!!We can’t wait to come back! The location is PERFECT for all seasons!!! So close to tons of hiking, within an hour of basically ever ski resort, and right across from the lake with beautiful views! This is seriously a treasure of a place!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. It is not the fanciest place you will ever stay at, but the attention to detail is incredible. From the personalized welcome greeting in the room, to the doggie welcome basket, to the informative yet whimsical notes, it was absolutely delightful. It is contactless, so we never got to meet the hosts, but their communication was flawless. Also, the place was spotless! Our only regret was that we could only stay one night. Great food right next door and a beautiful park right across the street. Be sure to check out "Penny" in the park.

We had an excellent stay! They were so accommodating. I called to book a room late the same night due to an unfortunate last minute hiccup and they made booking a room so stress free, comforting, with easy access. Even with late notice we were left a personal welcome sign with our names on it (including our dogs). Everything was clean, cozy, comfortable and there were special sheets, treats, bowls and a space for our pup! Thanks for savingour night!

This place is a gem! Amazing prices, super clean, adorable cabin themed rooms, personal touch and right across an incredible view of the lake. You can walk anywhere in town for food or shopping and 15 min from Squaw where we went snowboarding. We wished we had brought our dog as they go above and beyond with all necessary supplies for them. Will 100% stay here again if we come back to Tahoe.

This is a really cute place! Like the owners say, it’s old and funky, but definitely clean, quiet and comfortable. My only qualm was that the back window couldn’t be opened at night (I like to sleep with the window open) because the neighboring building’s AC or HVAC unit was so loud. But I’m not taking off a star, because that’s not their fault and the overhead fan more than made up for it. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, nor should anyone else visiting Tahoe City!

Cute cozy room! It’s close to restaurants, off the main street, and quiet. Across the street is a trail that runs along the lake. Check your email before you leave for check-in instructions (mine was from my room #, and made it into junk)- very responsive when I called to find out how to check-in at 10pm 😊
