This review is for the lovely lady that works at this establishment named Effie and also a gentleman named Joshua (also an employee).when I came to the Jackson location today I was given some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. So I came in about 40 minutes before they closed to get very critical photos printed out for a divorce trial and it said I wouldn’t be able to pick them up until tomorrow (the day of the trial). Effie, the employee that provided the said customer service, went SO far out of her way to make sure that they were printed out the same night and I am forever thankful and grateful for her care and support that I desperately needed.Joshua also was also amazing, offered so much help at the kiosk and assisted Effie in troubleshooting.Whatever Effie and Joshua make, it is just not enough.These two absolutely deserve a BIG raise, and I will probably call the manager every single day until they do. So, to the manager save yourself the time and just give them the raise now.Thank you so so much Effie and Joshua😊

Went to pick up prescription. Have been out of insulin pens for 3 weeks. My order is not yet filled. After standing in line 2 hrs I go to pay for order. I was charged for 6 pens and got 2. Told pharmacy staff I was short 4 but she insisted all were there. I opened bag to find only 2 pens, went back to window, but since I had opened the bag to count, I was told "sorry"cannot do anything about it. This was a $1500. Mistake and they lied and denied. I am unable to work so now no money, no insulin. This mistake could cost me my life.

If I could I would give even one star. Drive thru was HORRIBLE AS ALWAYS. 45 min wait for them to say the medication I was picking up was lost. If you have to deal with Emma, the lady working the window, she finds it's funny how unorganized they are and come to the window twice with baskets filled of others medication that were misplaced. Sucks that there aren't many options for people to pick up medication here and we as customers are stuck with these people

Always short handed, wait times are very long, constantly have to pick up partial insulin prescriptions. Multiple times I've had situations where I waited all day for an in-progress prescription to finish before I used precious gas to drive up there and it never changed, so I decided to call them. I waited for over 30 minutes and no one ever even answered the phone. How are people supposed to call and ask questions about their prescriptions, many of them life saving and extremely important like insulin if these people can't even answer their phone? I was told by a lot of people, "don't go to CVS in Jackson or Safeway, they're terrible." Well ill tell you this, my mom goes to Walgreens and my dad goes to CVS and I've NEVER had any problems at CVS. Terrible pharmacy and you know it's corporates fault, not the employees they're doing their best, but at the end of the day you have to worry about you, so do yourself a favor and skip this place or change to a different pharmacy.

Terrible customer service at the pharmacy. I waited in line for over 30 minutes to be told the prescription “wasn’t sent over”. I’m the prescribing provider and I called it in myself. She tried to give me the runaround saying it “needed to go through the system”. No, they just needed to check their voicemails, the call was over an hour prior to me showing up there. So they finally listened to their voicemails and told me it would be at least another hour wait. The patient I was picking up for has pneumonia and is coughing up blood. The tech was busy checking out people with cardboard boxes and packing tape. She should be working on checking voicemails and helping fill prescriptions. And the 10 minutes I was standing at the window she helped one customer and was standing around doing absolutely nothing the rest of the time. Don’t tell me you’re busy and understaffed when you have people literally standing around doing nothing. I told them I had already been waiting in line for over 30 min and asked if they could expedite the fill. They said no. Terrible customer service. I have had similar things happen at CVS and they say give me ten minutes, but it never takes that long. So I know it’s possible, they’re just weren’t willing. I even spoke to the pharmacist and he said they could not get it filled in under 30 min. From what I could see being in the carline, there was nobody in line at the pharmacy inside the store, hence why people were going to their register to purchase non-drug items.

Walgreens and the big chain pharmacy stores have a strategy of moving into small towns and buying and closing mom-and-pop pharmacies to eliminate competition. And then they complain about being understaffed. I went to a Walgreens to fill a prescription (antibiotic) for my husband,I waited 20 minutes in the drive-through; one car was ahead of me, and as I got up to the drive-through window, they shut the shades without my knowing what was going on. Apparently, they took a lunch break. I drove off and returned later, and I went inside to pick up the prescription and waited in line with others complaining about the same type of service. As I got up to the window to pick up the prescription, the pharmacy technician told me it was not filled and to come back at a later time. I figured I would pick it up in the morning. I called the pharmacy around 7 p.m. in the evening to check the status, and it was still not filled! I will be calling the doctor in the morning to have my husband's prescription transferred to another pharmacy that is flourishing, and is 60 mins away.

Sutter Creek. HWY 49 Walgreens...Worst pharmacy we’ve ever used. You could die waiting for any prescription. They screw up prescriptions too and often. The drive through is open one day then closed the next, no signage to tell you if the drive through is open or not. Terrible management, terrible pharmacy. Typical of the kind of business you encounter all over California now. Just close the doors and put this store out of its misery.Local Amador County resident

Wish I read these reviews, I just assumed Walgreens was Walgreens. Never had a problem before. Something needs to be done. Pharmacist have a legal and ethical obligation, what happens if someone dies while waiting for this Pharmacist to fill a life saving drug? DISGUSTING PATIENT CARE 👨‍🔬 DO YOUR JOB

Use a different pharmacy.I started using Walgreens because of convenience and the added appeal of a drive thru to make things even easier. At best I had a long wait ahead of me and then got my prescription. At worst, I had the same very long wait times (think 30+ minutes in a drive thru, minimum) then got told my prescription wasn't in stock and to come back in a couple days, then got told it wasn't filled when I came back after the weekend and to wait another hour, to come wait in line again, then coming back a third time the next day for the *same prescription* and getting told it still wasn't filled and to come back in 30 minutes. It's clear that they're critically understaffed and doesn't seem to be getting better. I feel for these people trying to keep up with all these customers and the one person who is on phones, the in store line, and the drive thru all by themselves, but do yourself a favor and use any of the other 3 (at least) pharmacies in the area.

Absolute worst. I've been going there for a few years and I don't know why I keep going back. Disorganized and rude. Seems to be a problem every single time. Every single time. It's always something with them. I'll be switching pharmacies even though I now need to drive an extra hour. Not worth the hassle I get here and I ussually don't get what I need without making several trips anyway. Last lady was just plain rude

The worst Walgreens pharmacy in the country. My NIGHTMARE experience is way too long to write out but long story short. I live in Michigan, have family in California. For OVER 20 years I have traveled back and fourth, winters and summers. Been getting prescriptions filled in California for over 20 years. SUDDENLY the pharmacist tells me they aren't allowed to fill out of state prescriptions. The Doctor MUST be practicing in California. I explained that I have been traveling back and forth and getting my prescriptions filled for over 20 years. Her response, "If that's true then the pharmacists in California have been filling them ILLEGALLY. Are you kidding me right now!?!? This is NOT acceptable!!!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. They have been closed on and off for the past MONTH with no warning or alternative for those of us that need medication refills. Absolutely unacceptable. I don't understand what patients that are reliant on their medications are supposed to do. I tried to have my Rx called in elsewhere and they denied it because my insurance had already been charged at Walgreens, so my only option is to pay $950 out of pocket.

They're never open when supposed. They never have enough coverage. People need their medication and if it's a narcotic that has to be picked up cant be transferred to another store and due to People not working or whatever and People are do yesterday they're sick now from not having it. I have filed a grievance with corporate. Absolutely ridiculous that if your scheduled to work you just don't bother opening. Lousy poor professionalism

When I moved to Amador 5 years ago, this Walgreens had serious issues and over time, it's only gotten worse. I stay for a few reasons: 1) I often drive home from Sacramento and this location is on my path. 2) I'm disabled and the Sacramento drive is hard on me. The drive thru is the biggest reason I stay. 3) I've had lots of issues transferring my medications to new pharmacies and 4) Most other nearby pharmacies won't fill controlled medications for new patients.That said, Walgreens has continued to inconvenience its patients and downright put them in danger. They blame overall staffing issues we've seen since the pandemic, yet Walgreens in general is having a worse staff retention problem than other pharmacies and other industries in general. Other surrounding Walgreens pharmacies are having the same problem and they have a ruined reputation, affecting their ability to recruit pharmacists and pharmacy techs.I've contacted corporate many times, and they refuse to do anything except forward my complaints to the local store manager, so my issues don't get resolved. The last several times I tried contacting corporate, I couldn't get a hold of anyone or leave a message. Therefore, I contacted the California Pharmacy Board and asked them to get involved, for too many patients' lives and health are being put in danger. The California Pharmacy Board is responsive, and I suggest you reach out to them if you're receiving unacceptable or dangerous service from this location. At this point, an outside regulator needs to get involved and determine where the issue starts and force it to get resolved.Walgreens has proven they cannot or will not fix their problems without outside involvement and incentives (ie, fines). I believe the issue is at the corporate or managerial level and employees who work there suffer as much or more than we do. I believe the issues aren't being fixed because Walgreens executives aren't being held accountable. Please join me in ensuring something changes for the better and file a grievance with the California Pharmacy Board.Walgreens Sutter Creek, I will report it to the California Pharmacy Board if I believe I am retaliated against for this review and/or for the action I've taken to ensure the safety of myself and your other patients. I hope my actions will help your employees have a better work environment as well.

I have had nothing but poor experiences here and long waits. My most recent trip was the last time I wish to go to this pharmacy.Waited in line for 45-50 min to pick up a prescription for my father who had just gotten out of surgery and was in a lot of pain already. When we get to the counter they said since we were paying cash it would take them an extra 15 min to get everything ready. The extra few minutes would be fine, but the lovely pharmacist also told me that "to be certous I should go to the back of the line to wait so I do not hold anyone up"....go to the back of the long line so we don't hold anyone up when we had been waiting our turn??? I don't see how that was necessary or fair when we had already waited for so long.Thanks Walgreens...

I came in for my second shot of moderna and was told by the head pharmacist that I was 2 days early and I needed to wait 30 days not 28. When I made my first appointment the website automatically made my second appointment. After being told I would not get my shot I looked it up on the moderna and CDC website and it says 28 days, 4 weeks, or 4-8 weeks for the second dose. I called and talked with the pharmacist where she kept talking over me and kept telling me that her corporate info sheet says 30 days until she finally looked it up herself and let me come back in to get my shot. Not sure if she was mad that she's the one who told me to look it up on the CDC website and she ended up proving herself wrong but when she gave me my shot she didn't even warn me and she also didn't use the spot that she had cleaned with alcohol. After the shot she tried to show me her corporate paper that says 30 days, at this point I didn't care to continue with her so I just put my thumb up and walked away. I tried really hard to not be a Karen 😐

Nice having the younger brunette woman pharmacist make it clear to me that she won't lift a finger to help me and how much of an imposition it is for me to dare ask for her to help AND do it quickly - as I am standing in front of her with the bandage on my arm from the IV and my ER wrist band still on.Yet somehow CVS (who seems much busier) was willing to help and empathize. Walgreens should be ashamed of their hideous pharmacy customer service.

They are the worst in the pharmacy. Denied my medication tht ive been on for many years for severe pain n not even corporate showed compassion. I was a customer there for 5 years and all the sudden they treated me horribly. Any place is better than walgreens. No compassion or care from any of the pharmacists

In the last few days I have had extremely responsive and helpful service from a new woman here. My insurance denied a prescription, she reported that they couldn’t fill for more than 7 days, which was fine, and helped with another denial, calling my pcp to get changes made in quantity, Very good at resolving my problem during the pandemic.

This is THE WORST place to fill prescriptions. The prescriptions are either incorrectly filled or late or both. They are never ready by the promised time and the staff is rude-especially the young blond girl. Don’t expect to wait less than a half hour-especially if you use the drive thru.The pharmacist is slow and incompetent. Screw this place.

In general, the employees are super friendly. I never have to hunt someone down when I need help with something. I have seen them deal with some very difficult customers and they did it with a smile.
