I'd ding this place a star. Although the staff is fantastic, they wanted a deposit to schedule a future visit for my dog because they haven't seen her in two years. My local Petsmart didn't even charge me this. Petsmart was cheaper too

I took my dog in for a follow-up and also to get something else checked out and they treated my girl with so much care. They put us in a room almost immediately after noticing my dogs gets anxiety with abrupt noises, they treated her with kindness and spoiled her with treats. And the doctor took her time listening and explaining things, It was a very pleasant experience.

I recently visited Pet Medical Center and was so impressed with their staff and their treatment for my dog. My dog is so afraid at the vets office because when he was a puppy he always got car sick. Because of that he hates riding in the car, it just makes him fearful of the whole experience. Dr. A was so kind and caring as my dog was petrified. I highly recommend Pet Medical Center her diagnosis was spot on for my dog and he’s doing great. The office staff is wonderful as well. Their office is very clean and everyone is so nice and caring. I give them an A+++++!!!

After having bad experiences with local veterinary practices, it is such a relief to find true compassionate veterinary care at Pet Medical Center. I have a 17 year old cat who is my life, and from the moment I stepped into Pet Medical Center I knew could trust their team to give Rowena the best care possible. Dr. Afshar is a true gem. It is clear that she cares about every animal she treats. She is warm and full of compassion and gives you solid advice. She always explains everything in a way that makes it easy for you to understand, and I have never felt like I was being sold on anything. The entire staff have always been incredibly kind, from the very first appointment I made. I can’t thank them enough. I highly recommend Pet Medical Center, would give 10 stars if I could.

I started bringing my dogs to Pet Medical Center when I lived in Tujunga. My Yorkie had been attacked by a coyote. That was a few years ago and he's still running around at 16 yrs.Recently I moved to Pasadena, with no coyotes, and I make the trip to Sunland to have my pets seen by Dr. Afshar and her staff because they are absolutely the best.They always go out of their way to make a person feel welcome and you can tell they love what they do and care about your pets.I know that my dogs will get the care and attention they deserve and I'm confident that it is the very best care. I will not go anywhere else to have my dogs seen. I trust these folks and I know my dogs are always in good hands with them.

I've been coming here for 30yrs. I've always received consitant quality compassionate service. I doubt you could do any better anywhere in town. It's also a plus there connected with Chatoak pet hospital should you need it.

Everyone here was so friendly, and kind. They answered all my questions and made me and my kitty feel comfortable. Milo got all his shots and a deworming medication. He was comfortable during the whole visit, I will definitely be coming back for anything Milo needs in the future.

I've been going to Pet Medical Center for my pet's needs for about 2 years, and I'm not going anywhere else! I never have to wait long to see Dr. Afshar and the staff are all wonderful and friendly. Last August, I unfortunately had to put my 15 year old chow mix to sleep. Most vets in the area were making owners wait in their cars and taking their pet in to put them to sleep. Well, that would never work for me. So I took my beloved girl to Pet Medical Center and it was a beautiful, although very sad, experience. We were given all the time we needed, they arranged our time so no one else was in the waiting room, and they lit a candle, too. Then we got a sweet sympathy card in the mail. I can't say enough good things about Pet Medical Center, Dr. Afshar and her staff.

I brought my little white dog to this wonderful vet so they could trim his nails. He hates when I do it but just melts when he sees one of the vet techs. The little guy loves to go to the vet. Thank you so much, Dr. Afshar and all the wonderful staff. And, to Peter the cat. We love him.

We needed a new vet after our former one became part of a chain and lost its warm, personal atmosphere. We chose Pet Medical Center - Sunland because it was in our local area, and are extremely pleased with them. The staff members are unfailingly pleasant, obviously love animals, and made us comfortable in trusting our dog's care to them. The vet, Dr. Afshar, is wonderful - calm, competent, open, warm, and patient, taking her time answering questions and explaining things every step of the way. We wholeheartedly recommend Pet Medical Center - Sunland for your animal companions' care.

Wow! After reading the reviews online I brought my pup in for his first visit with Dr. Afshar since moving to the area. I was blown away by her professionalism and bedside manner. My guy has never had such a calm and easy vet visit in his life. The doctor was incredible and made it so easy for my dog who usually cries during exams and snarls when vaccinated. We’ve seen many highly trained, brilliant veterinarians but Dr. Afshar is the best I’ve met. Her staff is also very kind. Highly recommended!

I was referred to Dr. Afshar by a dog groomer and obedience trainer. This was my first time bringing my very big rescue dog to Dr. Afshar. She was very thorough in her exam. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable and caring. Everyone in the office is really nice and the quality of service was superb. I will definitely be going back.

Outstanding Vet and staff! Have been to many vets over the years and by far and away the best out there. Not only are they kind and courteous but the prices are fair. The staff is a huge consideration for me, if I am treated badly that can destroy my ever returning. The best by far however is the amazing vet Dr. Afshar. She is so understanding and never pressures you to do anything, she just lays out choices and gives you factual information. She absolutely loves and respects animals so I feel confident that my dog receives the best care.

Clinic is clean , staff there are friendly ... only one car has space to park at the front of the office , but there are more parking spaces at the street by the corner , few steps to walk . Shell gas station next to the clinic .

I took my 10 year old bulldog there because she was having seizures. The doctor was amazing and explained everything to me.. from the possible causes to courses of treatment, to home care. She is intelligent, caring, and patient. My favorite vet tech there is Kimberly. She is fantastic. She genuinely cares about her patients and follows up to see how my pet is doing. She knows her stuff and gives it to you straight. You have a great crew. Thank you so much!

I Love Pet Medical Center!I had been going to a low cost clinic that was only open 3 days a week and of course my kitty, who has CKD, was in need of fluids on a day they were closed. Pet Medical center was the ONLY clinic that would take her in to receive fluids without doing VERY costly unnecessary tests, I had one clinic quote me $2300. That was about two years ago and after the quality of care my baby girl recieved I now only go to Pet Medical center. Am I paying a little more for her care? Yes, but not that much more and the quality of care is much better. They have always been kind, caring, compassionate and informative. I book appointments with ease, usually within a day or 2 which is fine since the are not an emergency vet but have been able to get same day appointments in the past.

The most caring staff! We have a few animals with them and we always receive exceptional service! Recently our young kitten was sick and the staff stayed late on a Friday to make sure we could pick up his meds. Wonderful practice, wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

I've been bringing my dogs and cats here for 10 years. They've also been very generous and helpful with the cat rescue organization I work with. They are kind and fun and genuinely like animals. I know choosing to spend money on veteranian services is tough and seems expensive but Pet medical center has state of the art equipment and charge very reasonable prices for services. I love them and are greatful they're nearby for me. Jax

The staff here does NOT care about you and your pets, even in an emergency!! I can no longer trust them.My dog and I had been patients here for over two years and on Monday afternoon when she had a medical emergency, we were turned away with no regard and NO efforts made to help our situation.I was standing INSIDE the EMPTY lobby holding back tears with my dog who couldn’t walk well, was drooling on herself, and couldn’t open her eyes, and I asked the staff for help. I was told they were booked and that we couldn’t be seen. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS AN EMERGENCY! It was the most stressful and scary time I’ve had with my dogs health, and our own vets office TURNED US AWAY!! They didn’t even bother to have the vet come at least LOOK at her. I am so upset with the level of care we received that I refuse to come back here and will be seeking another vet instead.I ended up instead having to call around in my stress and panic and finally found an emergency vet 25 minutes away in Pasadena, and had gotten my dog in about an hour after bringing her into pet medical center. She needed immediate fluids and had to spend the night monitored in the hospital. The emergency vet ended up costing me $2500!! My dog could have been seen by our regular vet and it would’ve ended up costing me much less, but they refused to help us in our time of greatest need. That tells me that the staff and doctors here do not care about you and your pets, even in an emergency!! So I can no longer trust that we are receiving the best care we could be.So so disappointed and disgusted.

What an awesome experience for me and my fur baby !! I moved a few months ago and needed to establish a vet for my chihuahua and I couldn’t have been happier with my experience at Pet Medical Center in Sunland . The vet techs were so incredible and kind and our Veterinarian who her self has two chihuahua’s I could tell loved dogs and I could tell with her gentle nature and kindness she was going to be awesome . She spent time answering my questions and I know why I was told to come here by over five different people in my mobile home park . Thanks for an excellent experience and if your looking for a vet and staff look no further you are in awesome hands !!

I am on a fixed income and we have 3 cats. Just like everyone, even though I don't have a lot of money I wanted the best care for my pets for a reasonable amount of money. I found that with Pet Medical Center in Sunland. My cat had infection in both ears, was given an antibiotic cream that goes on the outside of the ear and is absorbed through the skin so I didn't have to get him to take a pill, or liquid medicine. He is doing so good now, and back to his happy self. Pet Medical Center in Sunland is my new vetinary, and I'm very happy with them.Deborah Bunt

I took my 9 year old cat who had been badly traumatized by another vet to the Pet Medical Center in Sunland for the first time yesterday. Since that experience my usually calm and gentle cat hates going to the vet and turns into a ferocious animal while there.After hearing about his experience the great staff put pheromones on a towel to help keep him calm and took great care not to trigger him.Throughout his visit our cat remained calm!Thank you so much for making this dreaded visit a good experience for all of us.

Been taking our husky to Pet Medical Center since we adopted her and have been so happy with our experiences there. Not only is Dr. Afshar a consummate professional who is so kind that she eases any anxiety my dog has, but she and the rest of the staff are also very patient and responsive. Pet Medical Center-Sunland is a no frills facility that doesn't have the "WOW" factor as some vet hospitals have...what they do have in the "WOW" factor is customer service. From the receptionist to the techs and of course Dr. Afshar who has patience and clarity speaking with the guardians on the care and options of your pets. Unfortunately we've come across plenty of facilities that are either up selling you on products/services or nodding their heads and writing a prescription. We truly appreciate that there are "QUALITY" services and "QUALITY" care that is out there for our beloved animals. It's a distance for us but so worth it when it's needed. Thank you Dr. Afshar who works tirelessly as a single vet practice and still be compassionate, empathic and pull from her professionalism on the care of my personal kids, my foster-"Freedom" and others that have been referred to her that love her. What a "Hidden Treasure"!

Absolutely the BEST veterinarian I have ever encountered pretty much my entire life. I swear I am not being overly dramatic. Dr. Ashfar and her team are completely over the top amazing! The prices are fair, the service is top notch and the manner in which they interact with all the animals they see is stellar. Let’s not forget the knowledge of the doctor and staff as well. Everything was explained to me in detail and with empathy. I was referred by my mom and sister who live in the neighborhood. I live in Pasadena, so it is a bit out of the way. I can’t believe I waited this long to visit this office. I will NEVER go anywhere else again! And I will refer this office at any given opportunity. This vet office is truly crown jewel in our neighborhood. I've been coming here for years. I had a free coupon for spaying my pitty puppy yet chose to have Dr Afshar do the surgery. So glad I did. The very next day my pup was in good spirits and clearly not in a lot of pain. So from the front desk to the great Dr Afshar you just cant go wrong.
