Had an appointment March 2, 2024. Less than 2 hours in, I get a call from the groomer that she saw blood coming from my dog's back side and her supervisor told her to stop the job. When I picked him up, he was half finished and I was still charged the full price of 75.99. And My dog has had no bleeding that I can see and it has been 2 days later.

When they cut my dogs hair, the person that did it left the hair choppy and long in some places and short on the other side. I took her back in the next day for them to fix it and when I spoke to the manager of the grooming part she gave excesses for how it was my dogs hair that was the problem. When all she really needed to say was I'm sorry I will fix it for you. I was not trying to blame anyone for what happen. The manager of the store was very helpful. She acknowledged that the cut was not done properly and she apologized for the mistake. She gave me a refund and that was very kind of her. I have worked in customer service for 30 years before I retired, and now a days most people that work with the public do not know how to conduct themselves when there are problems that managers did not need to make excesses . Your main store manager handled the situation very professionally. However your groomer manager could use some training on conflict resolution. Its not personal its just not tough any more and that is a shame. Over all I like your store and will still go there to buy things I need for my dog. Have a great day and I am sorry that my overall review could not be more of a positive one

I was so pleased with the groomer and the way Winston looked it was the best hair cut he's had since I've been bringing him there. Ruth is her name and she was very soft spoken and very gentle with him. I'm going to request her every time.

The young lady is what brought me back to Petco. I had walked in a month prior. And she was doing another dog. I was inquiring about having my dog done. Her and another girl was telling me about the process. After they told me I had to get my dog a rabies shot and where I might go. I watched her doing the other dog. So I let the girls I would like to get my dog done. And asked for the young lady that was doing that other dog. Just because of the caring she was showing to the dog she was doing.

Each groomer I have ever had has treated my dog with care. He has a lot of energy and a little on the larger side so he can be a bit much. He always comes out happy and isn't afraid to go see the groomers ( and is usually hesitant about most places). That tells me that they really treat Skittles with care. The last two groomers were AMAZING. I do not know their names but they definitely earned a bonus.

Good, safe grooming. Staff loving and careful with animals. My dog is old and has many warts and lumps and never comes home with any of them injured even though her hair is clipped short.

Competent groomer...Breanna was new to us. Our former groomer, Jessie, had moved out in to the main store and we were concerned that out dog would not get the attention that Jessie had lavished on him. With Breanna we had nothing to worry as she just as wonderful at grooming and interaction with customers (two as well as four legged) !!

Your Groomer is great... she took the time to make Daisy as comfortable as she could... She gave her a great hair cut removed her matted hair and when I picked up my baby she was in real good shape inspite she hadn't been to a groomer for over a year almost 2 and had been getting her baths at some cutting at home... I'm very satisfied

Because I adopted my Giovanni a year ago from shelter. He has trust issues and was probably abused in previous home. Petco groomers not only make my fur baby comfortable but me as well. I go shop in store for new items and before you know it he is done. Antonia did a really good job on him and said he let her cut and clip with no wiggling so that is a great deal of trust he has for her. Thanx again Antonia....

I paid for my dog to get training she had one lesion since then the trainer has not showed up I have called the store and been told she was not in I showed up the next Friday and was told she was not coming in. perhaps this is true but I don't think the staff there knows much about anything. I am very frustrated and disappointed. I don't recomend this place as a good experience

Meh...it's all I can say about the place. The prices suck compared to the other places in amador. The atmosphere is off key imo. When you ask for them to do a price match they act put out or they try their best to see if it doesn't qualify for the price match. I only go there for the pet tags and I only do so for my wife.
