I don’t recommend coming to this vet it might seem the best option for an emergency but it really isn’t on October 2023 my dog was brought into this vet clinic which was really pricey and the staff was unfriendly. My dog Luna had a surgery performed here and they had said she was ready to come home that same day but once she arrived home she passed away. We called the clinic to see if they could help us understand what happened but they sent us to voicemail they kept ignoring our calls. A few days later they called us letting us know they could give us free cremation but it was too late. They honestly just care for the money and not the health of your pets. If you truly love your animals please don’t bring them here.R.I.P Luna

I’m fortunate to be a loving friend, companion and new pet parent to my feline named Claws aka “Stinker” who will turn 1 year old this July 1, 2023. Claws who is a male Domestic shorthair “Mackerel”, and me his pet parent became a lifelong customer of Hardin Animal Hospital after Claws’ first visit in August 2022. It had been several years since having a pet cat or dog, and I had been seriously thinking about adopting a cat, and coincidentally, acquaintances of mine presented me this kitten for adoption on July 27, 2022, and it was claws at first meet, thus appropriately naming him Claws. Days later, Claws was showing symptoms of which later, determined by his new vet, had an upper respiratory infection. Having the convenience of Hardin Animal Hospital within walking distance, and the friendly welcome we received by the staff helps make life a little easier. Today, we returned on a scheduled office visit to have Claws’ nails clipped, rabies and other needed vaccinations, and have Claws micro chipped. In addition to the convenience and friendliness, we also appreciate the loyalty program that rewards customers like us with points that we can redeem for further services. I was a little nervous anticipating that Claws may show resistance to having a pedicure and vaccinations for the first time today, but, Claws was a champ, and the technician is experienced, conscientious and patient. Claws recovered nicely in only a few days from his upper respiratory infection. We recommend Hardin Animal Hospital for you and your loved pet.

The staff is very friendly and professional. They got our pet back n right away and too good care of her. I was worried 4 days after surgery and they had me bring her in. They care about you and your pets.

The two stars are for the vet techs and not the Vet himself. Communication or lack there of was terrible. My dog has been shaking his ears and one had a scab on it (probably from itching). The Vet only inspected that one ear. Then gave me an outrageous quote to sedate and clean his ears. I will not be going back. Dr. Vicuña is missed!!! This Doctor barely spoke and seemed unconcerned. The techs were very sweet, informative, and patient with my new pup!!

This place was amazing from the time we came in to bring our sick pup to the time we had to pick him up. The whole staff was very friendly and compassionate. Including Hardin the cat. Amazing customer service. This is the place I will be coming back for services for my pups.

They started off good at first but it seems like they kind of try to get you in and out. I don't feel like they actually take the time to thoroughly listen to the concerns you have about your pet or thoroughly check them. Also my dog was on anxiety medication for about 6 months. Prior to the 6 months when I got his refill at 3 months I was asked how he was doing on the meds and informed them that he was doing very well as long as he is kept up on taking it every day and they said that they were glad to hear that and proceeded to do his refill. But when it came time for his 6 month refill, basically another 3 month refill, they would not refill his medication stating that it was because I have to bring him in but no one( the pharmacist nor did the vet ) call to say that I had to bring him in in order to get his refill. One, I don't think he needed to because I had already disclosed that he was fine on it. Two somebody should have told me ahead of time before it was time to do his refill because now he has been off his medication for about a week before I can get him into another vet. So basically it means he would have to start all the way back over to have the meds build back up in the system. And three I feel like as a courtesy since no one let me know about having to bring him in, that they could have at least still refilled it for at least a month if not a 3-month supply so that it gave me enough time to get him an appointment in without having to have him be off his meds for so long.

If you want an overpriced, uncompassionate and unfriendly doctor and office manager, come here!I tried Hardin because pretty much all veterinary clinics in Stockton are over priced. I paid nearly $1,400.00 for one x-ray, lab work and 3 medicines. The vet was very unfriendly, absolutely no bedside manner. I wanted a copy of my x-ray because I went to another vet. They closed my account. The manager was very cold and unfriendly.Every veterinarian I have tried in Stockton are way overpriced (I am 64 years old and have had numerous pets in my entire life).I can no longer have pets due to the rip off prices vets in Stockton...anyone with me?

Another successful visit to the vet. I got Cornpop all fixed up with a simple clip and stitch. They did a good job and were very polite and I didn’t even have to wait. I got an appointment the same day I called but my cat ran away so I just came the next day and I still didn’t even have a wait, I just came at my appointment time and wasn’t late. Corn pop is doing great and it wouldn’t have healed like this unless I took her in because where the wound was by the tail the movement of the skin kept it from closing and healing right. Thank you!

It's a great place, but pricey. They took care of my 3lb dog Zoey when she was bitten in the face by a pitbull dog. They're good at what they do.

I found a small, sweet-natured, young adult poodle caked in dirt, burs, and matted fur in my neighborhood. Based on the length of his curly fur and skittish, feral behavior, it was clear that he had been a stray all his life. Hardin Animal Hospital staff swiftly booked an appointment for us, and the little guy was able to receive all his vaccinations, get tested for heart worm, and undergo a much-needed grooming all on the same day. It’s a one-stop shop. ✅✅✅ The vets, technicians, groomers, and staff were all genuinely compassionate and happy to see the once very hairy Samson ready to be adopted into a forever home. ❤️🐕 My 5-month-old kitten (also a former stray) was vaxxed and neutered here not too long ago as well. On his first visit as a tiny furball, I was struck by how chill, soft-spoken, and gentle the doc/techs/staff were as they checked Moon’s ears, teeth, etc., and got him to open up his tiny mouth for the dewormer meds. Weeks later, when I picked him up post-sterilization surgery, the staff gave me pain tablets for him, as well as liquid amoxicillin and a kitten-sized dropper. These meds were a heck of a lot cheaper than they are for humans 👀, even without pet insurance, which I haven’t bothered to purchase. Moon’s incision healed on schedule, and now my kitty is pretty much set for life. 😻The service and care then was consistent with my more recent experience. The folks at Hardin are good and well-intentioned people who are honest and clear about what your pet does and does not absolutely need (e.g., additional/optional testing for feline leukemia, etc.) And although staff members may get rushed and busy and forget to mention small things (e.g., the instruction to crush the medicine tablet), they are always happy to answer last-minute questions, and clarifying and follow-up questions—aLL tHe qUeSTiOnS. One of the vet techs is actually super proactive about communication, updating you on estimated wait times, and how long some situation in the back may take with the doc about to set up for surgery on another paw-patient and such, etc. Very helpful. So, 10 outta 10, I am a contented and untroubled cat owner and foster dog mom.🐕 🐾🐾 🐈⬛🐾🐾❣️

Our little guy was pretty sick and Hardin Vet was very attentive to him. He needed a procedure that required some anesthesia, and they got him right in and took care of him that very day. He’s got some special needs, and we really appreciate their kindness and patience that they showed him. He’s doing much better now, and we owe it to your great staff!

This was my first time going here and I was initially very wary because of the location and some of the reviews but they were the only vet that could get my dog seen the same day. I am SO happy I found this place! My dog Coco Banana wasn't eating and continuously vomiting for multiple days so I brought her in. Right when I walked in the staff were super friendly and helpful. I stayed there for almost an entire day because my dog had to get multiple X-rays and they made me feel welcomed and accommodated my all-day stay. My dog did end up needing surgery and I was a mess, my dog is my baby but I trusted the doctor and he did a fantastic job. I am also very appreciative of the doctor breaking down my dog's condition and explaining it in a way I can understand. My dog is currently in recovery and I couldn't be happier with my experience at Hardin. I will be leaving my current vet and moving all four of my dogs here and will continue to go here for any of their needs in the future. I am immensely grateful for all the care the staff gave in caring for my dog and the doctor for helping my baby. Thank you guys so much!!

I originally wrote a good review of Hardin animal hospital, I thought they had helped me when my service dog had a health issue. I could have never been more wrong. My service dog Leia had some trouble favoring her left hind leg. After giving her the medication the vet prescribed, she became paralyzed! We took her back to Hardin, and they gave her new medicine, but she didn't get better. I can't walk, I am disabled and my service dog helped me when I had an flare up of my illness, my arms don't work, and when Leia became unable to do her job, I was not physically able to care for her. I was forced to give her to someone who could care for her properly, a no kill animal shelter. I don't know if she ever got better or if she had to be put to sleep. All I know is I don't have her anymore and I really don't know what caused her to get worse, and I don't know if she ever got better. Perhaps it was a bad reaction to the meds, paralysis is a rare but known side effect of the specific medication, so I don't know how to think. At first I was grateful for Hardin Animal Hospital, but I don't think they gave me enough information to make a proper decision, and I don't know if they could have helped her get better. She was at least 11 years old, I never knew her correct age as I was not given enough information when the people who gave her to me, gave her to me, and I don't know if Hardin Animal Hospital gave me enough information to understand. All I know is I wish I would have demanded that Hardin Animal Hospital would have explained what was going on with her a lot more. I feel that both myself and Hardin Animal Hospital failed my best friend. Now I am at a loss and don't know what to do.

I can't express enough how amazing Hardin Animal Hospital has been for my dog. They literally saved my dog, Jeffrey's, life a loyal companion I've had for ten years with an emergency blood transfusion. I'll be forever grateful. But here's the thing that blew me away: they're not just about medical heroics; they're also super understanding about the cost side of things. The team worked closely with me, giving me options and insights into what my pet truly needed and what we could work around. It felt like an honest conversation, not just a medical transaction. From my experience, I genuinely feel they care about pets and their owners, making sure that everyone gets the best care without breaking the bank. Finding a place that combines top-notch medical skills with such a caring attitude is like hitting the jackpot. Hardin Animal Hospital has my loyalty for life.

I took my dog spike in for an exam and vaccines and I want to say, the office is so clean. The manager and front desk is so friendly and really nice. Also, Back staffs and the doctors are also great and treat my fur baby just like their own. I’m glad I found a great vet here in Stockton. I would recommend my friends and families to Hardin Vet.

EDITEDPat has been my babies' doctor for over 16 years. Yes, I am one of those whom considers her animals babies. We have been through the ups and downs w/my many animals. I have never seen a vet share a tear with anybody when a baby has passed. Pat is the best vet in Stanislaus and San Joaquin, in my opinion. Pat is knowledgeable, creative and takes care when working with my brats.I am willing to struggle to find the $$ for gas and a ride to Stockton from Riverbank just to keep Pat as my babies' vet. They deserve the best!Pat you are awesome!Thank you!!!Em 😎😇😇 😇 😇😇😇😇 Pat retired and I am super disappointed 😞On the other hand, Dr. V, I think - vet was female, was thorough in the physical she performed upon my fur babies. She was understanding, gentle and kind. My 🐕 babies loved her.

NEVER AGAIN. My Receipt say 12:07 by the time they brought my dog up front so they charged me an extra day on my Third Kettling. This is not a good way to treat repeat customers.I Kettled my dog for the second time because it's WORRY FREE & responsibly just SAFER. I truly appreciate you all. Thanks so much for being a support for us.

My poor kitty was sick with an upper respiratory infection and it was a Saturday when he was definitely in need of care/examination. I called multiple veterinary offices and all of them said they were too busy to have him seen. After going down the list I came across Hardin Veterinary hospital and gave them a call. They told me they could see my cat in an hour. The veterinarian was a wonderful woman who was super nice and got my cat the medicine he needed. All for a fair price. Same day appointment, 3 medications, and an injection was only about $300. At my regular vet clinic same care would have cost me well over $500. I’d return to this vet for my animals. This clinic may not have all the outward “bells & whistles” look, but they are knowledgeable & compassionate for the animals in their care.

I used to come here to bring my two dogs and my cat for about three years and I was recommended by a friend who was bringing her pets for all of her life. About a year ago they are no longer run by Dr. Vicuña and now they are run by Drs: Bhakhri, Grewal & Villacarte and since then istead focusing on amazing customer service like what they used to offer, they have decided to increase their prices. I used to get my dogs medicine for car sickness for just $20 and I wouldn't buy it at Walmart for $16 just because $4 wasn't a big difference but now they want twice the price plus a $10 fee. When I explained to them the huge jump on prices and showed them the price difference between them and Wal-Mart the answer I got from the manager Mrs. Kumi was the I could take my business somewhere else if I wasn't happy, she also added we don't care your going to find l alreadyof complaints on Yelp when I requested to speak to one of the vets I was told I had to wait for them to see first all of their other patients and then they would talk to me.

My dog got stitches due to a bite and they sent him home without a cone, so he reopened the wound, they wanted to charge me more money so I had to put him down. I miss my buddy so much.

My 12-year-old dog came into your veterinary clinic with partial paralysis. Your veterinarian stood in the corner and claimed that it could be two things: a strain or a herniated disk, without asking any questions or barely touching her. The man didn't even come around the table to examine her, choosing instead to pinch her leg as proof that it was a spinal injury. After days of needless suffering, my animal died tonight. Prior to dying, however, we called urgently asking about why she was vomiting blood. Your rude receptionist kept talking to my wife like an idiot, repeatedly cutting her off, and insisting that we just deal with it until your office opened after labor day, or that we go bother another veterinarian. Finally, she admitted that it was possible that the medication you provided was causing her bloody vomit. Until that point, my wife and I frantically tried to force pills down her throat, not knowing what we were doing. For future customers, please avoid this place if you value your animal. There's a lot of wiggle room in claiming that diagnosis aren't exact, but this vet was down-right negligent in how little time he spent diagnosing my dog. I have three witnesses that saw the vet's conduct, and we all agree that this man didn't make a real effort to properly diagnosis her. I may not have my dog, but I’ll make sure I put in a good complaint for her when I write to the Department of Consumer Affairs Veterinary Medical Board later tomorrow. Update: left a complaint with receipts and images.

They did a great job pulling my little old chihuahua s teeth for $2k. They did charge $29. On return visit to remove stitches. I thought this should be included. Also I asked if they could trim his nails as they were really long and they said they would in a few more months come back. Otherwise 5 stars

Took Ace to Hardin Animal Hospital for a mass on his leg they said it would be a simple surgery. He ended up with gangrene and staff infection because of the way they dressed the wound. Took him to the bay area to see if we could fix it and they were very shocked to see the butcher job they did. No way to save him the infection was just to bad. All happened within one week. Please do not bring your pet here if you treasure them.R.I.P ACEPS Staff is Terrible I wouldn't even give them a star.We never added a different bandage on Ace or applied any medication on him. That is what we paid you guys $400 for every time you guys changed the bandage. And what you saw was a sock to protect from "getting it wet". Which resulted in being pus coming out from the wound. The emergency hospital was surprised that you guys applied the the bandages right after surgery said that it didn't heal properly because of that. Bandages should have been applied 2 to 3 days after.
