If you care about your dog, stay away from this place! They mistreated my dog, tying him up throughout the 3-day boarding period. It's unbelievable that my dog ingested a 14-inch leash while in their care, and I wouldn't have been aware if he hadn't vomited it the day after we retrieved him from this terrible experience! Adding insult to injury, when I contacted the business, they vanished! We chose Pawington based on positive Google reviews, despite the higher cost. We consider our dog a part of the family and are willing to pay more for quality care. However, these individuals exploited our love for pets and failed to gain our trust. We boarded our dog here during the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. On the second day of boarding, they informed us that our dog tried to escape due to separation anxiety and requested our consent to administer sedatives for better management. Although we agreed, knowing our dog occasionally experiences anxiety from separation, two days later, when we picked up our dog, its condition was simply terrible! On the second morning after bringing our dog home, I discovered that the dog was continuously vomiting. We consulted the vet, who suggested it might be due to mental and appetite disruptions from being away from the owner. However, when the dog vomited out a 14-inch leash from its stomach, we could hardly believe it. It was much worse than we had imagined. And the most frightening part is that the boarding company has been silent about what happened! They actually attempted to cover up the truth. We contacted the pawtington immediately, but their response was disappointing. They insisted Oreo was fine and just trying to escape. Despite showing them the evidence of the 14-inch leash our dog vomited, they refused to acknowledge it, citing a rule against tying up dogs. I questioned their explanation, and they gave evasive answers, claiming no one reported such incidents. I have too many questions, but due to the business constantly covering up the facts, I couldn't get a reasonable explanation.I suspect that when our dog experienced separation anxiety, they not only gave Oreo a tranquilizer but also tied it up with a leash to prevent escape. Our dog never eats randomly, and it's unlikely it ingested the leash in a secure environment. The only explanation is they tied up our dog for a long time, causing it to attempt escape and accidentally ingest the leash. They claimed not to find any evidence of our dog swallowing the leash. However, if their staff checked the remaining pieces diligently, they would have discovered damage or even a missing 14-inch segment. Yet, they said they found nothing unusual. They tried to blame us, stating our dog attempted to escape and damaged two doors. The truth is they only called us to ask if we could give it tranquilizers. If I had known they would mistreat our dog during boarding, I would have preferred buying a plane ticket to bring it home instead of leaving it there!I expressed my concerns to the responsible manager and requested them to cover the expenses for our dog's examination. The manager promised to report to the owner but couldn't guarantee reimbursement. Despite their emphasis on caring for our dog, a week has passed without any follow-up, solutions, or even a message expressing concern.I love Oreo deeply and have been a loyal customer of Pawington. This week has been an extremely painful and shocking time for me. We chose Pawington attracted by their positive reviews on Google, despite their higher fees compared to other boarding services. We were drawn in by their advertising, believing that Oreo would continue to receive love even in our absence. However, they took advantage of our love for pets and trust in them to engage in the mistreatment of dogs. I am heartbroken and furious about this treatment. I am still waiting for a response from you and hope other dog parents do not choose to leave their dogs here!!

My lab has been boarding and going to day care at Pawington for 8 years. She loves going - at drop off she barks at the front desk waiting for someone to take her back to one of the well supervised play areas. The staff is very sweet and responsive. They are also excellent with their email communications.I always feel confident that my pup is safe and well cared for when she’s at Pawington.

We have loved our experience at The Pawington for our dog. The staff is wonderful, communicative and accommodating. I love their webcam feature so we can watch him playing in the open areas during the day. It gives us peace of mind knowing he is being cared for by a great facility and staff.

My black lab Chief loves going to Pawington. The front desk staff is always friendly and the dog handlers are great and give a detailed update at pick-up. They also pay good attention throughout the day and make adjustments to the rooms as needed. The facility is very clean, location is convenient and easy parking to drop-off. We have also boarded there and was happy with the experience.

I needed boarding for my 6 month old pup, and I boarded him at the Pawington, which was recommended by my dog trainer. My pup had a great experience, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a fair amount of paperwork to submit and you have to schedule a temperament test for the dog before you can board there, but I think that's commonplace at all boarding facilities. It was reassuring to be able to check on my pup with the webcams, both in his suite at night and in the common play areas during the day.

I am just going to list 4 simple FACTS about our experiences with The Pawington (I have all the evidence):1. My dog vomitted 14+inch leash after coming back from them. It looks very similar to what they'd use to leash the dog.2. The dog looked lethargic and was experiencing diarrhea too.3. The management team said they care about the dog and they'd get back to us ASAP. But unfortunately, we have not received any further communication from them for a week.4. We then wrote a negative google review and surprisedly they showed up in 10 min and accused their customer of lying about their experiences.Beyond heartbreak and anger, what would you do if you were in our position?

We absolutely love the Pawington and is our go to spot for boarding and daycare for our dog. We have been coming there for many years and we can tell she loves it as our dog pulls us to get in the door. The staff are always super friendly and caring as well!

My pup Riley has tons of separation anxiety, but the folks at the pawington always make her feel comfortable. She’s been to daycare and boarding here for 7 years and always comes home happy and exhausted. You can tell they love her because she willingly goes to most of them, anyone who has a Velcro dog understands what this means!

I’ve been taking my 3 year old German Shepherd (Daisy) to The Pawington for about 2 years and she really enjoys it.We have had our challenges along the way but by working with Mike, the manager we were able to work things out. Mike is always professional and does have the well-being of the dogs at heart. The only problem I have is that the cameras are not always working. I like to check on Daisy several times a day and it’s frustrating when the cameras are down. I will say that they are constantly working on making them better. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The only reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because of the camera issues.

I recently switched from another daycare and am so glad I did! The front desk staff at The Pawington is attentive, courteous and always helpful. The care givers that are with with my Golden exhibit a sincere joy in being with her. They are helping her to be her best golden-puppy self.

Phenomenal place. Visually, the place is spotless. Smells pretty clean given the number of dogs that are there anytime of the day.I drop off my 7 month old lab puppy occasionally and I like to check in on her on the web cams as she is still not socialized around other dogs, so her interactions with other dogs are of a concern for me.Well, I can verify that she's actually having a pretty good time! She stays in a large space surrounded by dogs that are her approximate height, weight, and temperament, so she is surrounded by even-tempered snd curious dogs.I paid for a private lake play today, and the handler was so fun for my little girl. The handler was super enthusiastic so my dog was zooming around and in the water, just having the best time. It's so heartwarming to see your precious pup enjoying her time away from her paw-rents and I couldn't be happier or more satisfied customer. Thank you to the lovely and attentive, courteous and friendly staff. Your pup is in great hands!

Our dog has been going to pawington since he was a puppy. What we love the most is the Pawington’s great daycare hours wherein the latest pickup time matches well with our work end times. Our pup always gets home so exhausted from playing all day!

Bowser (95lb almost-4yo Bernedoodle) loves the Pawington! He's always so excited when I drop him off, and a happy, tired dog when I pick him up. The staff is super friendly, and they have so many options for boarding to make the dogs feel loved and cared for. It's also super convenient, right next to SFO. Highly recommend.

My 50lb labradoodle has used Pawington for both day care and stay over for over 2 years. The facility is top notch; clean, spacious and the webcams at the play areas provide full transparency to the experience my dog has during her stay. All the staff, from the front desk, to the dog handlers and the manager on duty are very courteous and professional. I once shared a concern with a manager and it was promptly addressed. I highly recommended Pawington.

The Pawington is wonderful. Always accomadating and always available. My dog never wants to leave when we drop her off here. She comes home pretty tired from all the fun and running she's had for the day. We've done the overnight boarding multiple times and the standard day boarding reguarlly when going to work. The drop-off is always seamless and pick-up even more so.There's plenty of parking out front and a covered drop off for bad weather. The staff is excellent, always kind. Whoemever does the recruiting for this place really takes their time and finds people that care about the dogs.I've taken my puppy love to many dog care centers in the area, and I can say with confidence, the Pawington cant be matched!

I dropped my dog off for daycare on a Friday. Based on the camera feed, there were multiple issues which is why I won’t be bringing her back here:1. There are too many dogs in a really small space. They mentioned that they would split by size and temperament, but both play areas seemed to have a lot of large dogs. There was very little space for actual play. This was on a friday too which usually is less busy - I’m sure it would be even worse on any other weekday.2. Handlers not paying attention. There were two really humpy dogs in the play area and handlers were often not paying attention and not catching or stopping the dogs. They also did not see a dog poop until many minutes later.3. It’s dirty. Handlers use the same towel every time to mop up dogs pee and do not apply any other disinfectant or enzyme cleaner. My dog was only there for two hours and came back smelling like pee.It seems to me like they value money over dog care since they’re not putting enough effort into ensuring the play area has a limit on dogs and do not have enough handlers to keep an eye on things.

We take our dog here for daycare once per week. She definitely likes it a lot. She is however always very thirsty when she gets home and a few times she has been running from other dogs/being attacked and I’ve seen some workers on their phones not paying attention to break them up. The management was very responsive to this via email which was a plus. It has only happened a couple of times. Overall I like that I can ask them to give my dog a break midday for a “lunch + nap” which we do every time for $3 which lets her chill alone for an hour and a half. We will probably continue to come here - unless we notice more issues with the workers not breaking up fighting dogs (this is uncommon but I’ve noticed a couple times recently on the webcam). I know there is a difference between happy playful fighting versus attacking fighting, and I am talking about the latter which I’ve seen them ignore due to phone distractions. Will continue to observe this.

For our first time at the Pawington, it was okay. We appreciated the webcams that overlooked the play area so we were able to see our dog. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. The only downside we had with this facility was our dog became very ill after picking him up. Our dog stayed here for 1 week. When we picked him up, it seemed like they didn’t feed him with all the food we provided (chopped lettuce & carrots for his toppers). As soon as he got in the car, he started to cough. We didn’t think of it as anything serious & that it would go away on its own, but the same night he threw up throughout the entire evening and the cough became very consistent. On top that, he was shivering and had the shakes. We had to take him to the vet the following day and our vet told us he contracted a viral infection from the Pawington. He also alerted us that he lost 5 pounds within 1 week since he saw him right before we dropped him off there. Now our dog has to be on two antibiotics and was given a vaccine after his stay at the Pawington. Overall, our experience was okay but not the outcome we expected. We will not be returning due to this incident.

We have been bringing our cat here for years and have always had good experiences. We try to get the luxury suite with the camera if it's available so we can monitor her when we are away. Totally worth it for the peace of mind. She always comes back home healthy, happy, and well fed! Super easy location for SFO flights.

Great daycare and boarding for our pup when we need it. She loves it. Gets excited when we’re almost there every time and is tired and happy when we pick her up. Love that they have cameras too so we can peek in on her and see her playing or sleeping.

Had my dog stay here for 9 days, this was a back up because our normal place was booked. The reviews looked great, the facility looks nice on the surface and front desk staff is friendly.I purchased a room with a tv for my dog to help with the noises of other dogs and was told they could play calming music. But the TV wasn’t available for the duration of her stay. And the calming music isn’t played in the individual rooms but throughout the halls. Before we left, the front desk said they would let our concerns be known to management and someone would reach out before they charge my credit card. I wasn’t given a receipt. Nobody reached out. And my card was still charged the full amount. Also the room she was in did not look like any of the photos. The room and bed were very stark in comparison. However, I did get my dog back in general good health. But she didn’t seem happy with the stay either.Update 1: It wasn’t the camera, it was the TV. I still don’t have a receipt and the amount charged is the original amount quoted before the stay. Maybe you’re talking about someone else.Update 2: someone did reach out after this post and we were able to come to a resolution.

We have used their boarding and day care in the past and it was okay for the most part. I’m not going to get into that experience in this review. We’ve never have our dog groomed but we thought he could use one. Since this will be his first time, we’re willing to pay for a decent place. We thought we could go to Pawington since we’re somewhat familiar with the place. We used their nail trim and file service before and we thought it was good. We talked to the groomer and told her what we wanted. She seemed to know what she does but unfortunately after getting our dog back, I don’t think she’s skilled/qualified to do her job. Our dog came back with a hair cut on his head near the ear that looks like an accident. His nails were cut too short that you can tell some of them were bleeding. Some nails were splintered and our dog whimpered when I tried to file them. We didn’t get to inspect him until we got home so we didn’t get to talk to them right away. We have emailed them and gave them the opportunity to respond and offer us an explanation or some form of apology but after a week still nothing.Side note: The groomer didn’t bring our dog out to us. It was one of the receptionists who took our dog and brought him out to us. And that receptionist was a little rude telling us that they’re not done because my dog doesn’t like the blow dryer. They called us and told us that he’s done so we went there right away to get him. And my dog is fine when I blow dry him at home.

Had my dog's grooming done there a few weeks ago . It was a process to get him admitted, but when I picked him up after , it was well worth it . The cut looked great , it took half the time than other places. When I picked him up , he looked happy, and I've never seen him like that after procedures.
