Brilliant experience at Sports Ltd. Rented during a visit from the UK. Rented good quality mountain bikes for morning at reasonable price. Nick at the shop was superb - sorted us out with some great options for trails and even took the time to provide some detailed recommendations for rest of our stay in California. Visited some of the spots and they were all fantastic. Big shout out! Couldn’t recommend shop more highly.

Really nice staff who know their stuff. We rented skis there. Very reasonable prices with great equipment, … much cheaper than at the ski hills! We absolutely recommend them.

Had a really bad experience renting backcountry ski and gear at this place for 3 reasons:- prices are twice what you can find elsewhere in south lake- gear quality doesn’t live up to the price they cost (broken skins)- personnel doesn’t either… (one of my bindings wasn’t fitted my boot I had to do it on my own, skins weren’t fitted to the ski length as well)Last but not least, they charged more than $100 to a friend, without warning him and a week after the rental. (After negotiations he got the money back, but my opinion is this is not a good way to proceed with clients…)Overall, I’ll pass in the future. You can find much better places for backcountry rental in the area.

Wonderful place to rent bikes. Favorite thing: shop is RIGHT next to the Heavenly and Tahoe Rim Trails, so you can park in front of the center and ride ~1/4 mile to the trails.Rentals were solid and well-maintained. Store had a good selection of high-quality mountain bikes (including a nice demo fleet).Shoutout to our rental attendant, super nice guy, patient and kind. Gave great briefing on caring for the bikes and pointed me towards a great app with trail maps.One thing I would warn would-be first time renters: be prepared for the pre-authorization charge on the card, which for me ran $2000. My girlfriend found it alarming, although I thought it was pretty reasonable given that we were taking out ~$10,000 of bike. In any case, make sure you’re not close to your credit limit if you’re renting here.

I came here looking for Ski Boots and although we weren’t able to find the right fit they were the most helpful team I’ve ever experienced when buying boots.The guys here truly know everything there is to know about a ski boot and how it should fit.They could have tried to get me to buy a boot that wasn’t right, but instead directed me to other places that may have what is needed for me. Even after spending 40+ min with me trying on boots and measuring my foot.I really appreciate the experience here.Thank you Leo & Coach (I think that was his name).

Incredible service with a great, chill crew to help you with all your outdoor needs! My wife and I rented some snowshoes and are pumped to take them out on the trails! BONUS! They have two friendly and adorable pups that hang out at the shop! Great spot for all your outdoor rental needs!

Great rental prices, friendly employees, and high quality gear. My only complaint is that the glove rental prices are too high ($10/day), so you’re better off just buying snow gloves at that point.

It was my first time in South Lake Tahoe, my parents came to visit me so we had to rent some snowshoes and jackets. It’s a really great place, they are really nice and friendly, they helped us for some hiking and good tricks. I really recommend this place and the bonus: they have a really friendly dog who loves to play ;) if I could give more than 5 stars I would with no doubt

Very dissatisfied and disappointed in this shop. Rented a demo mtn bike, and brought it back with two small scratches on the front fork stantion. They charged me $200. It's a rental bike. Bike scratches, including those to sensitive areas of the bike, should be covered. If not, at least offer bike insurance. They do not. Good guys working the shop, but terrible policy. Ruined what was otherwise an awesome day on the mountain. Renter beware.

I lost my bike seat and post (Stolen?), and went to Sport Ltd Rentals for a replacement. They gave me an old seat for $10 and sent me to Tahoe Sports for the post. Very friendly and quick service.
