Quite eclectic as far as different item choices. Many name brand items at substantially discounted prices compared to most popular supermarket's. Most local folks know this store as a quick stop for a couple of bargain Items, before heading down to town for the big list purchases. Stop by here and you'll come back for a few things you'll not find elsewhere for less.

Came here to purchase some items and use the restroom for my 11 year old daughter at 2:42 on 1/16. The sign on the bathroom door said get key from associate. I asked the associate by the name of Melissa who rudely told me the dollar general had no public restrooms. I pleaded with her that my child needed to use the restroom and she still refused. I told her i was going to purchase some items. She still refused. I can't believe a person would deny a child the use of a restroom. What a disgusting establishment and employee. First and last time I'll ever walk into a dollar general.

It is a Dollar General. The store was clean. Prices reasonable. They didn't have a couple of things I was specifically looking for, but it is a pretty small store.

Great store! Got everything you need and even a lot of stuff you don't need. The employees are generally positive and helpful..the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was the few and far between employees that actually makes your life harder. The should be able to spot that quality a mile away during the hiring process. I mean customer service is number one right... And it's quite apparent that these individuals have not been the desire to exceed at that skill. Like I said though, few and far between. The rest of my experiences with customer service there have been stellar!

The store has always been well stocked and clean. The prices and bargains give Walmart a run for their money on many items. The only issues I have had is not being able to find store staff available to help out on the floor. A fee cashier's are extremely friendly and helpful, but most of the staff acts like they want to be anywhere else, but there.

4 stars because things can always be better. I like the employees there. I've never had a problem with them. It's small so small aisles. Isnt always stocked like big chain markets and general stores but Prices are fair so things sell out quickly. Makes me feel like I don't have to worry about expiration dates. They have rug doctors. Redbox. Good sized working lot. Across from gas station so makes for an easy store run and gas stop combo.

Needs the a.c. fixed all my candy bars were melted straight from the shelf when i asked an employee if they were gonna get it fixed they just laughed and blamed higher up. We dont have alot of options up here so its not like i can rum to another store without having to drive down the hill 10 minutes. Makes the company look bad hope it gets fixed i really feel bad for those who have to work in there

Shelves are consistently empty, not enough staff to stock shelves I guess. Can't ever rely on products being available that I buy regularly. Examples would be dog treats, cat food, dish soap, garbage bags. Doesn't matter what day I shop very low on stock. Learn to shop elesewhere. Not worth the trip.

Wide variety of items for sale, 🍪canned foods, 🍞soda, water, juice, frozen foods 🍱, dairy, 🍼milk, kitchen utensils🍴, dishes, toys, clothes👗 👕 makeup,💄👓👛snacks, candy, 🍭🍫🍬nic-naks, phone accessories, ⌚⏰🔒🔦🔌🔋school & office supplies📂✂📌📒art supplies🎨 at good prices. The store was clean & there were a couple employees putting things on the shelves & organizing. The lady at the register was very nice & told us where we could find what we were looking for.

Store has been messy lately. Still nice to not have to go down the hill when you need something. Employees are usually friendly. They've been out of things most of us run to them for, pain relief, allergy pills, some pet items, toilet paper, etc. End up having to drive down the hill anyway.

Thank you for implementing the "Face Mask" law.It's not an easy task being on register 1 to ask customers to please wear masks to protect others so they dont die. Oh, And its an World HEALTH issue too; just in case someone feels rightful. Good work.

I'm impressed they actually turned away a woman without a mask who was quite snotty. People stocking supplies asked if we needed help and the checkout clerk was very pleasant.

Oh my goodness. This is the best store. The people that work there are wonderful. Patience is always smiling and kind. Every one of the crew are so pleasant. I call it my second home.

Great go to store for a quick stop when you're out of town for the day. However I didn't appreciate the rude comments being made between the cashier (heavier set blonde lady) and two separate locals while I was grabbing a few quick items. The cashier went on and on about how they don't like tourists and blah blah blah. If it wasn't for the tourists in this small town I'm sure this dollar general wouldn't have been completed. Not all tourists leave their garbage in places. My family of 6 drove up for a couple of hours stopped in your store and gave you business. Not one piece of trash was left. I actually threw a few things in your outside trash can that could have easily made it out the window of my vehicle. Not how we do things though. So next time keep your comments about tourists to yourselves!!!

This Dollar general has a lot of friendly employees that are willing to help you with finding things your groceries out to the car. And as always very reasonable prices. :-)

They have two restrooms and even a sign that says "Ask associate for key 🔑 " but they told us restrooms are not for the public. Had to pinch my cheeks and run across the street to Chevron.

Messy and very crowded store makes it hard and uncomfortable to shop. Many items aren't priced. Only one register open, long and very slow line. Young man working there doesn't seem to take his job seriously. Almost fell right outside the door due to dangerous spot on cement, twisted my ankle but just left.

Cheap prices for relevant products, convient, great place to get important products without walking miles in the soulless super-center that's closed so many mom and pops, but of course, they are a CORPORATE CUTOUT, but they fullfill a nice tech that no locally owned business has achieved, so I go there often. I love the sales basket, where you find seasonal products for cheap. I love that I see the 'Tulsi 4 Peace' sign, reminding me that there is hope in the world & authentic people can rise in the world.

This dollar generale has a lot of business and often runs out of items but when they are stocked well there's a lot of different items and always priced competitivly. The general is a bonus to have as the local corner store.

I am 55 years old. If I want beer or cigarettes I won't go to the Dollar General. I don't feel like I need to show anybody my ID at this point in my life. Now that's not the law of that's just the store policy. I'll shop somewhere else

Who doesnt love the dollar tree? Stuffs always changing they have holoday decor and you could host a awesome party with all they have. Crafts, candy, home essentials, cleanimg products. They got it. Some dollar trees have alcohol even. Though not in Santa Cruz.
