With all the rain lately, I didn’t want to go out and do grocery shopping. So I used Uber Delivery. In a pinch it’s a good service. The staff at the Sonoma store location are very helpful. And those clerks working with Uber Delivery do a very nice job. And the delivery drivers with Uber are always helpful and make sure the items are delivered right to the door.

I went in last week to the deli section to get a sandwich and there was a lady in the bakery named Adriana that had a rude attitude as soon as i asked if i could get my sandwich toasted she rolled her eyes and said sure then i asked for extra ham and she told me it would cost almost 2 dollars just for extra ham i did not deserve to be treated like that over all apart from the deli incident, i this love safeway.

DO NOT LET THEM GET YOUR MONEY BAD SERVICE HERE.The floors are made of cement no real flooring and has thousands of dangerous cracks in them. This violates the ADA act what a bunch of horrible people.

We started at Sonoma Safeway this morning during their Seniors Hours (7am to 9am)on Tuesday and Thursday. They were letting anyone in. Saw lots of young people coming in.A lot of their shelves were empty. No eggs, hamburger, bread low, meat section skimpy, paper products, toilet paper hand towels out. Fruit and fresh vegetables low or no stock.Went to Sonoma Whole Foods, they had only one door to enter and had someone only letting Seniors in. They had lots of bread, eggs, meat, and fruit and vegetables . Better stocked store.We'll go the Whole Foods next time.

No empty shelves at this Safeway! This Sonoma Safeway is a very busy store and although there are wheelchair accessible parking spaces and entrances including wheelchair accessible restrooms I wouldn't say it's very wheelchair friendly because of how busy they are and the parking lot is often full and quite unpredictable. I can say that I always find what I'm looking for and all departments are clean and well stocked. The employees are always helpful and willing to help you out with any need you might have. I prefer this Safeway to all the others when it comes to my shopping needs. Way to go, Sonoma Safeway!!!

all three electronic carts were charging. everything was nice, we bought a water bottle cleaning brush that was made of soft white foamy spongy material, that twirled in a circle for over 6",the handle was at least 4" long. and a spray bottle to cool us down, around $2.

Easy to find items. Carts are new. Lots of parking. Ahna that works at Starbucks is super nice as are all the employees (except one lady I won't name).The one thing I CANNOT STAND is the extremely loud BEEEEP when they make an overhead announcement regarding a phone call or whatever. That noise is SUPER startling. Because of that, I shop fast. And have left not getting all the items I came for. Please consider getting walkie-talkies.

Worse experience ever In a Safeway store. Found most everything I needed, no problem...first in line to checkout and there's 5 female employees standing there talking about a date one of them had the night b4...asked for some help to check out and one of them said just a minute...I lost it...left my stuff there and went to a competitor to shop. Old saying about Safeway is still true, easy in, hard as heck to get out of.

This store is the main grocery story in Sonoma. Overall, it has a good layout and everything you need. However, we have noticed many times how sloe it can be. Cashier folks vary but many of them are very slow and sometimes hear them chatting it up with customers. No sense of urgency or concern for waiting customers. I have also had to find a hand basket in store from time to time. It is what it is and the store itself meets our needs but be prepared to demonstrate patience depending on your luck.

Cookies from the bakery are great. Frozen pizza selection is excellent. Butchers are really friendly and they have many meats, including some nice kebabs. Produce looks fresh and the store layout is intuitive.

I shop Safeway a lot, in many different cities and county’s and have only visited this one 3 times. I went in yesterday to pick up a cake I’d ordered for my best friends birthday ( she lives in Sonoma) It was so pretty and decorated and frosted just as ordered. Unfortunately, they failed to put the fresh strawberries I’d ordered in the filling. This couldn’t be known until the cake was cut.Also of note is that this Sonoma Safeway is 40 miles from where I live. I called the bakery this morning and they are willing to refund my money which is wonderful, but I’m not driving 40 miles to get $40. The sales associate told me to take my receipt to the Safeway nearest me and they will refund my money. I will try this and hope it works. Safeway is a pretty stand up company and I’ve never had a problem with them before so we shall see. The cake btw was very good even though it wasn’t exactly what I ordered nor paid for .

I get groceries delivered from them. Mostly had good service. But my last 2 deliveries were not good. I received a whole bag of someone else's groceries. Felt bad that someone was waiting for their food and would not be getting it. I tried calling the deliverer but could not get them to answer or leave a message. Could not reach customer Service. The last delivery had the wrong paper work so I couldn't see what was delivered or substituted, etc. My next order was to Lucky's and it went much better. My suggestion is to order early delivery of you use Safeway. The bad deliveries came after 6pm both nights. Otherwise I love the idea of delivered groceries for us handicapped seniors.

Find almost anything needed for pantry, plus. BIG store, wear walking shoes. W/C accessible from parking lot through the store. If you belong to the Club, you will find lots of bargains. Prepare for 3 customers per check out, but they move fast. Little eye contact from checkers because they are focused on scanning your items

Always consistent. Meat department guy is great. Even thru COVID19 this store has remained consistent. Not my closest major grocery store, but the one I tend to go back to.... Can always stop at Lucky's on the way home if I forget something, but I mostly choose to try here first...

Love our local Safeway in Sonoma CA. I usually shop in there when I get off work at 12:30 a.m. The nicest kindest people work on that shift. I couldn't be more satisfied with their customer service! Eric Neil and Paco are the best. They go above and beyond Duty to get me what I need or am looking for. If it is not stocked on the Shelf or in the freezer section even if it is not their Department/section that they are working in.

Several remodels over the 30+ years I've been in town and it only gets better. It's a massive beautiful store and i get the privilege to shop at a place where the family of employees consist mostly of rockstar veteran's that have put in More than 20 years.

24 hour shopping. Deli counter has great chicken. Hard to get serviced however. Sometime the wait is really long. They need to use their pull ticket system to make receiving of service equitable.

I always buy myself roses each week. The price has gone from 11.99 to 21.99.I'm sure bc of Valentines Day! Bought some on Thursday and they were dead by Friday!! Buyer beware!!

Lately, it seems like they always need ONE MORE CASHIER.I've waited 30 minutes to get through the checkout line. That's far too long.Store is clean and full. Employees are friendly and helpful.

The customer service station at this Safeway is particularly awful. There is never anyone there and if you do want help you have to go fetch someone who usually acts like you are asking too much of them. But tonight I experienced extra terrible customer service from what I can only assume was the night manager, he was rude and short with me. If you need customer service skip this Safeway. ps Teach your employees people skills.
