Adopted an adorable little kitty! Wish I could give them all a home! The staff/ volunteers were really helpful and gave us all of the vaccination info with a care package with starter food, coupons, wand toy and a blanket and a collar. If you are looking for a little companion I recommend this shelter highly ! They really take care of all the little fur babies til they find their homes. 🐈

I don’t feel bad for the animals that live here, that’s how well they take care of them. 10/10 adopted my baby here and they were incredibly helpful and made sure they put the animals comfort first.

Just adopted two kitties from here and the staff were very friendly and supportive. They took appropriate health measures, like taking our temperature, but also allowed me to interact with the kitties in order to get a better understanding of personality and quality. Obviously the cats had been well taken care of as they were both healthy and confident. Pets Lifeline also has a great foster program, so little kitties are raised in a home environment. Because of that, our kitties are both very confident and well socialized and therefore have fit right into our lifestyle. I would 100% recommend this organization to anyone looking to adopt.

I am really sad to admit that this was the worst experience I have had when visiting a rescue organization. We are passionate animal lovers, so while we were in Sonoma we wanted to visit a rescue as it seemed like there was growth. We parked and the entire place was eerie and seemed poorly maintained. We checked in at the front and asked for any information about their rescue and one man gave us a little explanation and let us in. We were pretty happy with our conversation with him, except, when we came back out, we were met with two office employees that wanted nothing to do with us. We were not trying to bother anybody, and actually hoped that we could find a way to help (if there was anything possible) but we were told that unless we are going to adopt an animal that we can't see them. Once again, we were not trying to put anyone out or waste their time, but seeing how different agencies run their rescues is fascinating and helpful to bring back to our community. Sadly, I wish we had never gone to visit.

I adopted my dog Splash right before New Years! I had thought about getting another dog for a year and one of the faculty on my job suggested that I adopt and so I did. I saw splash on the Vallejo shelter website before he was transferred to Pets Lifeline so I went up and had another visit with him and it was so meant to be. He is so perfect for my family. He is a pup pitt/terrier, lots of energy, and supper smart but I have lots of support with training him. Maybe next year I will adopt another from Pets Lifeline to give Splash a little brother to push around and show him the ropes...LOL! Thank the staff for being so wonderful!

We adopted an incredible little dog from Pets Lifeline yesterday. They really took the time to introduce our entire family, human and canine alike. Even though the canine portion was a bit "hairy", so to speak, they helped us to formulate a game plan that would enable us to safely introduce Blackie into our home. What none of us counted on was the fact that their work with Blackie paid off in spades the minute that he set foot in our home as a calm, well-adjusted, perfectly dog mannered Chihuahua house guest. Within half an hour he was being shown around by our other three dogs with lots of sniffing and side rubs being given all around to celebrate our new family member. The backstory is that they had been gently and consistently working for over a year and a half to bring a reactive, confused and frightened creature to the point where it could step seemingly effortlessly into a brand new home environment. The proof is in the pudding. At Pets Lifeline they just don't save animal's lives. They work tirelessly to give the creatures in their care the skill sets needed to help them be successful in their new homes. This is one great organization! Thank you for working with us to bring Blackie home!

This is a small animal shelter- they love and care for animals that have been abandoned or unclaimed strays. They provide medical care, training and try to make the best matches with adoptions.
