Stopped on the way out of town to wine country. The location is shared with a Mexican restaurant so if you pull in and it looks like the wrong place- look for the small Barking Dog sign.They had good bakery items for breakfast. The muffins looked good. I chose the cinnamon roll. It was good.The cold brew coffee (or their version of) I think they call it flash brewed or something. It was good and met the morning coffee requirements. 😃Parking is fairly easy in their parking lot.Service was quick and they were very accommodating.

It was so good I couldn’t get a photo before half devouring our breakfast! The pastries were delicious and fresh, the coffee well-crafted and high quality. Highly recommend! We were in town for just two days and walked here both mornings for coffee.

An enormous Cinnamon Bun and a Macchiato togo. They have a few outdoor tables, but most people are here to grab and go. We waited a bit to enter as there was a line, but once inside servered promptly and with friendly service.

Very disappointing that a roaster only has ONE brewed coffee available in the morning. Regardless of whether I like/dislike that bean/roast, it seems kinda goofy to limit coffee drinkers to a single choice. And then to tell a customer, “no, we can’t do a pour-over…”Seriously, you’re a coffee roaster…?

COOKIES. I go for the cookies.The coffee is pretty good too. I have to admit, I didn't quite enjoy my first cup there, but I also burned my tongue so it wasn't very easy to taste.This last cup I had was a Mexico bean roasted a bit lighter than I usually like, but it was quite delicious.They are staffed with real people so if you go there for your first cup of the morning, you might be greeted by someone that also needs their first cup. Overall the staff is very friendly, the food is good, and the coffee is delicious.

Staff was nice and drip coffee was great. I was a little disappointed by the lack of options. No pour overs, just drip coffee or espresso. Also the raspberry-lemon poppyseed muffin was scrumptious, and their prices were cheaper than expected.

Happy to find a gourmet coffee place near to my new home. I ordered an iced latte and was so surprised and pleased when I saw that they used coffee ice cubes so that when it melts on a hot summer day like today, it doesn't dilute it. Wow. Very nice touch. Espresso had delicious chocolate notes. Yummo!

Good coffee, but lacking any ambiance. Also, no food items without butter, so plant-based eaters beware. A granola bar would have been nice. I suggest the owner go check out some of the options at Oakville Grocery - they’ve got plant-based snack options figured out.

Great off the road spot as you travel north leaving Sonoma for a quick coffee and breakfast. I don't do coffee, however, others in my party mentioned it was good. I had the blueberry lemon scone and it was delicious.

I love the location. The people that work behind the counter are pleasant and efficient. The bake goods are just as delicious as they are pretty to look at.I like the new design except for where the drink sign is hanging. Its in an awkward place. It took me a minute to find it. Beyond that it was an excellent experience .

Went here two times during our trip to Sonoma. First time was good. Although the guy working made a good smoothie, he was not very personable. My husband ordered a smoothie that was really good. I had a latte that could have been stronger. On our way out we stopped back in for a smoothie and they were out of bananas. Although the customer service was excellent, and the lady working apologized, she offered to make us a different drink that did not require bananas, but while she was talking and preparing a drink she kept rubbing her nose three different times. She was not wearing food gloves, so I just wanted to leave. Its a cool place, but cleanliness means a lot to me. Not sure I will ever go back. Maybe food gloves would be good, but still won't mean a thing if rubbing nose with gloves on.

Went to Barking Dog Roasters for my daily coffee each morning I was in Sonoma for a recent vacation. The decor inside is nice and the coffee is good as well. With a friendlier/more welcoming staff the review would have been 5 stars. Not a single smile or good morning on any of the days I went in for any customer. Maybe they hadn't had their morning java yet?
