What a great place to stop. I'm in town got some work and needed a few supplies. They had a deli for sandwiches, plus sodas and snacks. The cashier was the friendliest guy I've ever met.

This is one of the very best stores I've ever patronized!!! The home made sandwiches were delicious and made with love to our specifications and the pizza?? To die for, seriously. It's also made in house, and the pepperoni had a surprise addition of chopped, crispy bacon!!!I just spent 5 years in New York and this pizza is the best I've had since I've left.The best, best part of my experience was being treated so wonderfully by the people who wish there . They are so genuinely warm and gracious, it was like a hug for the soul. Highly recommend Soda Spring General Store!

Really great staff. Very welcoming. Each one of them made sure that we could find stuff easily in their store. Kids enjoyed some snacks. We enjoyed some coffee/soda. They have yummy sandwiches/pizza. And they offered to microwave sandwiches.

A wonderful amenity for a relatively (and sometimes actually) isolated community. Ordinarily, the best one could expect to find is a little dump featuring a wide range of energy drinks, beer, cigarettes and Slim Jims; things that are not the basis for a satisfying meal. Here you find quality (not supermarket) fresh meat and vegetables, local baked goods, decent wines, and most kitchen staples.The folks who started this place last year took one heck of a gamble. They earned, and deserve, your business.

The Bahama Mama is a delicacy in itself but with fresh hot dog buns and a true buffet of toppings (sauerkraut, relish, onions etc) and a full selection of cold sodas (in cans not plastic), this is the best apres ski meal for under $5 in Tahoe. There's also the Buffalo Chicken sandwich popped in the microwave, another classic. The store is intelligently and creatively stocked for rental houses, and managed by nice folks. Completely unpretentious, and a nice warm stop when the snow drifts outside are 15 feet high.

This is a review of the ski rental service.The ski rental was fast, cheap, and convenient. The service was also quite friendly. The equipment was fine, not high end, but for $14 a day I'm not complaining.Definitely a good option if you're going to Sugar Bowl.

Amazing selection of pantry items and also refrigerated foods. Everything from cheese to pizza, freezers and fridges stocked with everything and anything. Great selection of cheese and even vegetarian Amy’s canned products. Cool beers and local wines. Stop in to buy something, you’ll find something!! The owner is an awesome, chill guy. I wish he and his partner many more years of success bc this place deserves it.

Great sandwiches and comfortable, friendly service. Such a cool place to stop. Lots of history and fun stories. Just ask a few questions about what's on the wall and enjoy the time spent. Don't be in a hurry or you will miss the best.

Great little general store with a bit of everything you might need without going to Truckee. Even ski and snowboard rentals available. Fresh chili and deli sandwiches as well as pizza and hot sausage bar.

This gem has the nicest owners you could ever imagine. They have a great selection, a great deli, and great coffee. Also, they occasionally barbecue on the weekends. It’s a great little central spot of soda Springs.

Great store! Has a little bit of everything! Snow boots, sleds, sunscreen, organic prepared meals (Amy's), 3 kinds of maple syrup, eggs, spices, local beef jerky etc. The owner was friendly and had a bag of Doritos and fresh salsa that he enthusiastically offered to us to try. Definitely worth checking out!

The store is great very friendly staff good selection of food. Produce really good Deli. This place has a lot to offer for a fairly remote location. I do suggest visiting the store. In the winter they can supply all of your skiing needs. If you forgot your hat through your gloves they've got them!

OK you decide you want to go to the snow so you get in your car and head out of the city. For people that are not ski freaks this place is a good place to stop when you get there. They have everything you need if you are heading up to see the snow but don't have the gear or apparel to enjoy it. They have snow pants, boots, sleds etc. They also have a great selection of food and deli items so that you can pack in something to eat while after you make snow angels.

SSGS has served the Summit community for years, now in their brand new building! More space means more grocery and deli options plus beer on tap. Fabulous people who go the extra mile for friends, neighbors and visitors all the time. The Genny saves me many trips to Truckee, for which I am grateful.

Decent selection, got us out of a bind when we needed to do last minute dinner and groceries shopping. Not a lot of greens, but some basic fruits, good sandwiches, dairy, deli meat, frozen foods, and ice cream. The staff is great too.

It's a basic ski lodge shop. A few gloves, hats, along with other basics like sun screen and lip balm. Very small and there to cover items you forgot not meant to be a source of selection.
