We stopped here on our trip to Death Valley, here's what you need to know: Great final place to fill up with gas before turning off into the park. Plus they have snacks, drinks, and refreshments. The bathroom is next door on the outside left of the Post Office building. We were a little disappointed they didn't have ice cream, but it was hardy worth mentioning and not a deal breaker.

Whenever I tend to come to death Valley, I always fill up to the point where I know I can get out without filling up at one of these gas stations due to the prices. But it's a great place to find a souvenir if you want to find one, or if you want to find a quick snack cause trust me there won't be anywhere else to find one. For hundreds of miles.

Drove here from Vegas through Pahrump. The scenery is nice and plain desert. Expect to lay around $5 a gallon of gas if you need any. They don’t offer a variety snacks or drinks. Its pretty pricey but it’s expected when it’s in the middle of nowhere. The cashier was an older Gentlemen who was very polity, he even gave a lil booklet of nearby cities or what not. Shoshone is in Death Valley National Park, the name says it all as far as how hot it gets.

$5.00 a gallon will feel really worth it when you need to drive out of the valley of death. Clean bathrooms. They sell magical rocks for a few bucks. 10/10 would recommend.

Nice people that work here. Lottery tickets available. General items. Post office right next door.

Drive over from Pahrump for lottery tickets and fuel here is very expensive, but no problem since I'm aware of it and fuel up for half of what it is here. Shoshone is a cool little town though.

👽 Chevron gasoline station rt.127 Shoshone California. gasoline $6.41, diesel $6.76 Chevron is 1of 3 gasoline stations in Deathvalley. the other 2 stations are even higher. The Crankshaft station was over $10.00 a bitt ago. Shoshone is a living ghost town with only 31 residents that YOU won't see cuz they hide inside with air conditioning. Across the street and behind the CROW BAR RESTAURANT is a short trail bout 10~15minute walk. A must doo. Also Dublin Gulch talc caves or dugout homes, plus Shoshone cemetary. Thirsty and hungry now ? Time to go in THE CROW BAR RESTAURANT. Best cooked food in Deathvalley also last restaurant YOU will see while in the land of hell. Enjoy Earthlings and keep wandering this 3rd rock from the sunn & please pick up 1piece of glass or trash from the desert. A tortoise thanks YOU.

Cute store in the middle of nowhere. The trinkets they sell are pretty rad but the gas is way overpriced. Your best bet is to fill up in Baker or Pahrump on the way to Death Valley. Honestly gas is cheaper even in the National Park itself. Other than that a good place to stop for a cold soda!

Extremely expensive gas here. Plan accordingly when traveling out here in the desert. Mistakes could cost you your life. I would not considerable the staff here to be very hospitable, service is not so good. Each of the nearest gas stations to this one are all cheaper. But if you really need to fill up, be thankful that this is even an option. Get a couple gallons here, and then top off once you make it to Pahrump, Baker, or Furnace Creek.

Gas is expensive here! Make sure to fill up before going out there. $5.62 for regular! Cute town & they have some nice knick knacks, stones and gems at this store

Like others have stated. Gas is criminally overpriced. Being out in the middle of nowhere and the only gas station for dozens of miles in any direction, they really took an opportunity to take advantage of you. The lady behind the counter was rude. Didn't even reply to my "Good morning" opening and flat out replied with "what do you want?" It rubbed me the wrong way seeing how everyone else in these remote desert towns have been so hospitable. If you're driving a fuel efficient vehicle and you can drive about 40 more miles to the next town over, pass this place up.

Gas is cheaper in death valley, which is crazy. But the store is cool and the worker was friendly.

They know you don’t have cell signal and can’t check on prices or how far you have to go till the next station. We paid $4.34/gallon and fifty miles down the road at Baker it was $3.09/gallon. I refused to even walk into the store. They weren’t getting another dime from me!

Fill up anywhere but here! They are straight up thieves at this price! Ridiculous! For as much as they charge they should have immaculate restrooms... they look like a scene strait from a horror movie! Pahrump is 27 miles away, and gas prices are half of what they charge, so let them sit on their stupid expensive gas.

Sure the gas is high priced, but you're heading into scenic route of Dealth Valley. The convenience store is well stocked and the staff are always friendly. Stop in check it out.

Nowadays I would say this gas price is a little bit more reasonable than furnace creek gas station at Death Valley National Park.

Extremely high gas prices. They know they can rape your wallet, so they do on everything. It give it 3 stars though because at least it's there and you won't run out of gas if you have the money.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Told the crew to fill up in Baker. For those heading to Death Valley note that while gas in Furnace Creek is costly, in Stovepipe Wells it is often cheaper than Baker.

Very friendly staff, they were extremely helpful. Gas is expensive for Cali standards but I guess it is a matter of supply and demand. Still open when we arrived at 8 pm.

I needed gas because I failed to fill up earlier so I was happy to pay their price. You know they pay a whole lot more to have gas trucked an additional 70 plus miles from the next nearest station.

It's convenient and there are bathrooms and a water tap near the nice gazebo. Obviously the gas is expensive.
