Easily one of the best campgrounds I've ever stayed at! Fantastic amenities and endless activities, and the bathrooms were super clean. Lots of great sites with fences for privacy. Dogs had a blast at Kamp K9. The staff are really friendly and keep the place very well maintained. You can tell they've put a lot of thought and care into making this campground enjoyable for everyone. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be happy to come back one day!

Nice park for an overnight. Nice layout and friendly hosts. Good WIFI. Quite noisy the night we were there with lots of children - but it was the weekend so that was to be expected. Only complaint here is the showers are small. If you are an oversized person then using the shower facilities may be an issue for you - don't drop the soap as you won't be able to bend down to pick it up! :)

We stayed two nights on our recent road trip. We were camping and needed a night out of the elements. We rented one of the lodges. We were grateful that they were pet friendly, had hot running water and a kitchen. Customer service was outstanding and the grounds are really well maintained. The only negative was the bed, so uncomfortable, and the bed frame squeaked so loudly all night. It's just a shame we couldn't sleep better with that bed.

Quiet, well kept, friendly, what more would ask for? When it’s hot , head for the hills! It’s about 10 degrees cooler up here than in the valley. Good sized spots and pretty level. Roads aren’t paved but that actually makes it more inviting . Lots of shade from the huge trees and the air smells clean and fresh!I think this is a great combination of rustic and well equipped.

New review here...We still love this KOA. Wish the store was better stocked and our table seriously needed to be replaced. We love this KOA! Everyone is friendly and the place is clean and quiet. The sites are fairly spacious and they try hard to afford a bit of privacy. VERY PET FRIENDLY! The K9 Kamp there is big! I have a pittie mix and they had no issues with him being there. A lot of campgrounds, including other KOA's outright ban some breeds. 🤬 My only suggestion to the owners was to perhaps keep the PA volume a bit lower when using it for activities. I'd love KOA's to offer sites that can be easily used for two RV's camping together. We will definitely return to this KOA!!!!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly office staff, who really made us feel welcome. Offering complimentary expresso, and since Sunday, they were providing everyone a free ice cream sundaes. Our site was level gravel, clean and offers somewhat of privacy. From what we saw, many sites were laid out at different angles, providing a sense of privacy (not stacked right next to each other). We were treated with a thunder & lightening show from mother nature.Noteworthy details: Swimming pool was inviting. Restroom/showers were clean, nice playground for the kids. Office/store was well stocked with needs.

The staff was amazing at the KOA, especially Doug, the man who took care of the sites and more.We look forward to next year's trip there.Plus, we visited Mt. Lassen volcanic national park, and it was awesome.

"Is this your first time camping?" "How many campgrounds have you managed?" "Should I tell everyone to put out their fire or turn off their lights??" "Do you know what the difference between the rule of the law and the spirit of the law is?" These are the questions the night manager asked us when we asked him if he could have another campsite turn off their outside music during quiet hours (i.e., their clearly-stated campground rules). Read on for more:We camped here at a tent site the night of 9/2/2023. We had an issue where our neighbors were playing music after the posted quiet hours (10pm-8am). We called the night manager to ask him to come check and ask them to turn off their music. The night manager drove around and drove off without saying anything. He then called me back and said there wasn't an issue since it wasn't excessive. I disagreed and, after reviewing the rules again, called back. The rule specifically states "music off" after 10pm, not "no excessive music." The call unfortunately dropped on my end at this point, but I called back immediately and was greeted with "I'm coming over now." He then walked up saying "how can I help you?" We had spoken on the phone twice about the issue. He knew exactly what the issue was. Then, as I was getting out of my tent, he asked "is this your first time camping?" in a very condescending and confrontational tone. Although this is a completely irrelevant and disrespectful question, I answered saying it's my first time at this campground, but not at all my first time camping. He then told me that he is much older than me and has been camping his whole life, likely way more than me (again, that's irrelevant). He said that there was no issue because there was no excessive noise. I told him that's not what his campground rules say. He then asked me what the rule says and also asked "how many campgrounds have you managed?," to which I responded "that's a ridiculous question." Because it is. The specific rule (see photo) says "Observe Quiet Times - Keep noise level of talking, children and pets low and music off during posted quiet hours." Now he transitioned into asking me if I knew what the difference between the rule of the law and the spirit of the law is. I said yes. He then asked me to explain it, which I did. Again, this is irrelevant. We're not here to debate the spirit of the campground rules. We were simply asking him to enforce the rules of the campground. He sarcastically asked "should I tell them to put out their fire or them to turn off their lights??" while gesturing to surrounding sites. To which we responded, no, that's not what your rules are. At this point we were annoyed and it was clear that he wasn't there to help us. My girlfriend then told him to leave because he wasn't being helpful and we were just trying to sleep. He then said he'd tell them. He went to our neighbors and asked them to turn their music down saying that someone complained (I don't know if he mentioned us). I followed up behind him and thanked the neighbors. Ultimately they turned the music down (but not off) and he left. We are leaving this morning and will not be staying here again. I regret not getting his name, but, just know, if you have any issues at night, the night manager is not here to help you or do his job - you're on your own. No night manager would be better than this guy.To management - If you and your staff don't agree that what your rules say are what your rules mean, then please change your rules so no false expectations are set. Assuming the same owners have been here for the last 4 years, from reading your previous responses to negative Google reviews, it's obvious that, if you respond, you'll be defensive and unprofessional. Just as the night manager was in person. Maybe you're the same person..? Regardless, I don't expect any changes to come from this review but wanted to warn others and give you a chance to prevent someone else from having a similar experience as us.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and the facilities are cleaned daily. There are tons of activities for the kids to to do as well as a dog park for the pups. My family and I enjoyed the walking trail with the tree swings the best. When viewing the map online I thought the camp would be bigger but it was slightly smaller than I imagined, although still a decent size. They also offer a military discount which is a huge plus! If you’re looking for a well maintained and quiet place to get away to then look no further, we will definitely be returning in the future.

Really nice campground. Flat, shady RV sites, great hookups, friendly staff, quiet and respectful clientele, clean bathrooms, blazing fast wifi. On the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Definitely worth it.

This is a great little KOA! The park is clean, well maintained and beautiful! Excellent facilities and amenities. Just 18 miles from the entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Plenty of family oriented things to do at the KOA and in the area. Our reception was truly enjoyable! Friendly and helpful staff at the office. Got a great pull through site (#4) for our 40' 5th wheel with plenty of room for our F350. This is one of the best KOA's we've stayed at. We highly recommend this KOA!

We really enjoyed our stay. The campground has so many amenities, and is very family friendly. The grounds are immaculate and show a great deal of pride of ownership. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The WIFI was surprisingly good considering it is nestled in the tall pines. We will definitely be back.

This place is the perfect base for Lassen, it’s just about 15 minutes from the north entrance. It’s so quiet and the view of the stars at night is a 5⭐️ alone. There’s lots of activities, a little camp store with super helpful and nice employees, and a Tesla destination charger. We stayed in a cabin and it was so clean and lovely, there was also a little patio and fire pit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re at Lassen.

This is by far the best campground I've ever stayed at! You can tell the staff truly cares about the experience of their guests. When we arrived they were all hard at work preparing a free movie viewing on the lawn with popcorn provided. They were quick to greet us and go out of their way to help us however they could. Thought the day staff patrolled the grounds every 15-30 minutes and greeted everyone with a smile. They have a very nice walking path behind the sites that is amongst the trees, sites have small fence dividers to give you a sense of privacy, and everything was very clean! My only regret was not staying here more nights.

Awesome KOA with great, friendly staff.Nicely situated right off of highway 44 going into Lassen National Park. Easy drive to town and an easy drive to the National Park. Burney falls is only an hour north and well worth the drive.Lots of nice, drive-thru RV parking, with lots of room to spare. The tent camping can vary based on site but are relatively private and roomy. The cabins are nice from the outside, but I didn't get the opportunity to go inside.Lots of events all summer hosted by the camp staff and lots of things to do around the camp. The playground, while not huge, this big enough and they have horseshoes, frisbee golf, and bean bags. A dog park is convenient and the bathrooms are always clean.Pricing is about what I would expect, not very cheap but not very expensive. If you're a KOA member the discount is nice and they have lots of promos to get discounts as well.Definitely somewhere I will be going back to as it's just far enough from my house for the kids to not get antsy in the drive, yet far enough from the house to be closer to some of the bigger attractions in Northern California.
