Wanted to check out the aquarium shop and ended up going through both buildings and buying a ton of stuff. Including chicken feed, garden tools, pet shrimp, and some springtails for my paludarium. Try to get that at one location elsewhere. Told my daughter about the boutique, I'll sure she'll be a fan of that place. Lots of decorations and clothing items. Almost pulled the trigger on those pies. Regretting I didn't 😆

My family and I have been loyal Lee's Feed customers for decades. Their staff ate always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They treat their chocks, fish, and other animals with great care and respect, which is something I can not say of other feed stores. I pass 2 feed stores on my way from my home to Lee's. I will continue to give Lee's my business.

Family owned type vibe. Employees are helpful and friendly. Huge selection and tons of quality items that would put box stores to shame.

How in the world can you always have a positive experience when you go into a business? Just go to Lee's Feed in Shingle Springs!I live in Fairplay, California near Omo Ranch, so this feed store is not exactly near me. But now I go out of my way to regularly go there because of the unbelievable customer service there. I have been helped at the hay barn, the dog and cat supplies, and my most favorite place in the store now, the tropical fish and fish supplies Department!I saved a poor betta fish from certain death at the hands of my 19-year-old daughter 😅 who got him for a Christmas present, and wasn't thrilled with having an unwanted live animal as her responsibility. When I saved "Bluey" from the loneliness that came from trying to be part of her extremely busy complicated life, I was very disappointed in the gift-giver who also gave her no instructions at all just the fish and a little bit of food. She had just moved in to be a full-time caretaker for an elderly lady and was dealing with the move and the new job and the new responsibilities and of course a million other things at 19 years old, and freshly on her own, away from home. But right up the street from Lee's Feed!I was so thrilled to have this little fishy!I got on Google and I did massive research! Then I got on Facebook Marketplace and bought almost a complete 3 gallon setup used from somebody. Now Bluey had a mansion! I also got some more tankmates from Lee's feed! Everyone in the fish department was so unbelievably helpful and each worker seemed truly delighted with my new hobby! Unfortunately in my quest to be economical, I bought some test strips from a thrift store. And as my fishies seemed to be getting stressed out in their immaculate house, my test trips were not telling me the truth about the water safety for them. And when Bluey died and a couple of his other tank mates I was absolutely DEVASTATED. 😭The workers at Lees Feed, those great kids, really comforted me.I found out that they would professionally test my water anytime for free. And as I purchased some more fishies, and went through the learning curve of having these beautiful pets in my home, I have really fallen in love with everyone in the fish department at Lee's Feed.I have recently purchased a brand new larger tank, a 10 gallon tank, that has LED lights, a bubble wall and live plants and all the other things that make my aquarium glorious! When I go into Lee's Feed to get my water tested regularly, I get a warm, happy welcome and great suggestions, such as recently, you can purchase little packets of tiny frozen worms for a treat for your fishies. Gross, but they love it!😂I just can't tell you how much is this aquarium and my fishies have enriched my life at 60 years old.And Lees Feed fish department has been an integral part of my success!Thank you so much Lee's Feed for employing such sterling workers in every department. Everyone is so friendly and educated in their department. Everyone is so helpful and seems genuinely happy to work there. This is very rare. And that is why I've taken so much of my precious time to write this heartfelt review.

They always have the things we need for our farm. We have been coming here for years and even if the employees are young, they are knowledgeable. Love browsing in the boutique as well.

So I’ve been buying hay from Lees feed for about 6 years now. I buy mostly Teff hay for my Haflingers. As the years have gone buy the quality of Teff hay isconsistently going Into the toilet. The prices are at all time highs for this type of hay. See pictures attached that showed what I have pulled out of 1 flake of Teff hay and this is just a small amount out of the entire load I received. The large piece probably could have broke a tooth which would be a very expensive vet bill. Wish they would do better quality control of what they are selling to the public.

When we recently moved to our new home, I needed a temporary habitat for my goldfish. Lee's Feed in Shingle Springs provided the perfect solution! I bought one of their 300 gallon Rubbermaid containers. I added a Fluval 407 Filter (purchased at Petco) and now my goldfish can enjoy a comfortable habitat until our pond can be constructed. Thank you Lee's Feed!

Love this place! They have everything you need and they're always willing to help. It's a bit pricier than a Walmart on some things, but then again Walmart doesn't carry all that this store has to offer...

Once I found the correct building and reparked, everything was great. The sales people knew exactly what I was purchasing for a friend. They were definitely knowledgeable about courteous. They sent me to a loading site where a staff member carried my items to my car.Definitely will return to get again what I bought and this time take a look at all the other things that they carry. The Boutique will be on my list. Great business 👏

I came to quickly pick up some food for my dogs. Of course when I parked and looked in the backseat, my 2 year old had fallen asleep 🤦🏻‍♀️ I called the store, explained the situation, and asked if they could please take my card and bring the food out to me. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and took my card over the phone and got the food I needed. I really appreciated them taking the time and making this errand totally painless when I thought I had been dealt a major hurdle! Thanks so much Lee’s Feed staff!!

I wish the staff was more knowledgeable. Seems like ownership only hire broody teenagers who could care or know less about animal husbandry and what not. If you need help with anything whether it's purchasing an animal or have questions about a product be prepared to stand around waiting eons for someone to help you. Also it's a smaller thing but when I started going a year ago their Apple Pay worked. Shortly after it stopped working and they just decided to throw up a permanent "Apple/tap to pay isn't working" sign. I've complained and been told it's too expensive to fix. As though their prices aren't absurdly marked up enough to cover maintaining their payment system. It's too bad because the store itself has a very good selection and stock, I just really wish I could walk away feeling like they generally cared more, especially given how pricey the store is.A note to management - this review specifically applies to the lower store with the reptiles. No idea if the upper store shares the same issues

I go to this place all the time and I love it. I always look at the chicks to see what breeds they have, and I love to see all the clothing and farming gear. I called to ask when they would have chicks and they said they are getting them that day and the chicks would be at their store in 45 minutes. I started to head over there after 30 minutes to get there early and when I got there I was informed they sold out an hour ago. I was very disappointed.

Honestly, I'm mostly disappointed in myself for blindly believing that Lee's would be responsible for the wellbeing of their baby chicks and ignoring the signs of mistreatment, resulting in 7 of 9 chicks passing before the first night due to organ failure from the stress and freezing conditions they endured before I even purchased them. AND THEY WONT REIMBURSE.I was really excited about raising my first flock. I had done tons of research, bought some chicken health books, and even had my cousin who had a flock of her own help me with the brooding box. I was ready! I decided Lee's since they were near by and I could get there early for when they opened, so I could have the first pick of new chicks on Saturday 3/4. When the store first opened I asked the cashier when the chicks would be available. she said that "the post office wouldn't be open until 9 am to pick up chicks, and the earliest they would be available would be 10 am." I understood an decided to wait for the chicks while in my car. It was extremely cold that morning! While I waited people were already lining up since 8:30. To my surprise the chicks were placed out on display at 9:15. Way sooner then I expected since chicks usually need to acclimate for at least an hour after shipping. But people where already scoping up chicks as soon as they left the box they where shipped in.Sadly, I ended getting the last of the chicks. I didn't know then but once those chicks had sat in an opened face cage completely exposed to the freezing winds in 38* weather for over 20 minutes immediately after shipping, they were doomed. One by one by the hour they passed. I had no idea what was wrong. They were already weak in the car ride. And by the time they were home they were already slowing down. The heat lamp was at 100* and there was plenty of room for the chicks to move away from the lamp if it was too hot, and I even supplied them with coconut water and a heating pad to help them out, but their body temp kept dropping. At the end only two survived and after talking about the experience with my aunt she confirmed my suspicions that their organs where already shutting down by the car ride home.I get that chickens die very easily, but that doesn't excuse their "no refund/no life guarantee" policy when every other chick supplier does. Especially when the chicks they sold were sick to begin with. I recommended going somewhere else for your chicks that will guarantee the life of your chick so that the supplier can be held responsible.

Well stocked and happening place, right along Highway 50 that has a self serve dog wash and vet clinics on Saturdays. The clientele is mixed but that’s to be expected most anywhere. Parking can be tight.
