After many random health issues and expensive trips to the vet/hospital, an internal digestive specialist vet recommended the venison and fish to rule out allergies. After 6 week trial and no issues, eating well, hydrated so we have been customers ever since. We added beef and use their recipe with supplement if not able to get a fresh restock or while traveling.Sweet potato and fish goes bad a bit faster so keep frozen.

Our dog is 12 or 13 years old and needs a special metabolic diet. He's diabetic and blind and reacts very well to this food. He's never liked dog food, and only ever ate people food, but, he loves this stuff. The staff at your Sherman Oaks location treat us very well.

Love, love, love JFFD. Matthew, Bruna and Judith are SO knowledgeable regarding all the product. We just recently found this location because that day, we were on our way to Petco to purchase more JFFD when we stumbled upon this kitchen. To see how they make their food is still awesome to me. The feeling of seeing this is similiar to the "farm to table" feeling when you know you're getting good food.I love the people that work here. They are not pushy and aggressive salespersons - they appear to genuinely care for your family pet. Our pups have skin issues when it comes to grain and JFFD has worked for our pups. Bruna and Matthew were excellent when we had questions. Financially, it made more sense for us to purchase the "buckets" they had available since we have multiple dogs. On top of that, again, it's straight from the kitchen to your pups' bowl.If they only knew....the only reason we bought JFFD was because of our Chihuahua, Luca who had grain allergies. We noticed with JFFD dog food and treats, Luca has not had any skin problems - completely cleared. Our other pup has no allergies at all; however, he didn't like the fresh food. He actually preferred the prepackaged, boxed JFFD food. Because of how the food is prepared, the smell of the prepackaged food is more enticing than the frozen, defrosted food. Matthew and Bruna gave us pointers on how to re-introduce the food and it's worked!Sadly, Luca, our oldest, passed away shortly after picking up our first bucket. He loved JFFD dog food and he's the only reason why we purchased it because of his allergies and he had no teeth. Being that there really is no need to have JFFD food because our other pups don't have dietary restrictions, we still want to feed our puppies JFFD because we've noticed that it's healthier for their digestive system. They've had their annual physicals with no issues found. They've been able to keep their weight down, too. Their coats are shinier and most of all, no itchy skin.I would definitely recommend that you give this a try. So glad we found out about JFFD dog food! Your fur babies will love all the treats, too! My dog loves the food and is on a prescription for Balanced Remedy. But he’s had this prescription for three years and they’ve been out of it for three months. They say it’s a Turkey shortage but why don’t they pre-plan for that? Isn’t the food frozen after all!?With regard to the Sherman Oaks store. The manage Katie seems kind but the associate I spoke with today needed to speak with a therapist or maybe take a break? After referring me to a manager for a confirmed online order that wasn’t available (ok good idea thanks), she did just the opposite and continued to explain to me on the phone an additional 5 minutes her system. When I gently interrupted and asked her “in the interest of time to please just go ahead and pass me onto that manager so we can try to resolve the issue” she said ok than strangely came back to the phone a beat later to berate me and suggest I was needing to “talk to her in a different way” I’m calling to get my dog food not be trapped by this person.What is it about people who feel that stating you are in the wrong makes them right. It just doesn’t.Thanks guys. Just wanted my dog food that costs $70/week for a 25 lb dog. Shouldn’t be this hard.

The best pet food, highest quality ingredients, and you can get help for your pets specific needs, kidney skin etc. If it becomes very particular in needs for your pet, DO NOT BUY the vet pet food, have you seen the ingredients!!?? This pet company can adjust vets food for certain health issues.Another amazing thing about this company you can have a powder formula and recipes to make your own food for your pets!!!I made once a month a batch of food put it in individual portions in the freezer, super easy and I can use all organic products if I want, and it is super economical compared to buying dog food from the pet stores and is superior also.They also have pre-made food freezer ready with a wide selection of flavors.I love this company, and as the saying goes you are what you eat and that goes with our pets too.I was lucky enough to have my two dogs live healthy to the ripe old age of 20 years old, and I believe the clean natural food I feed them from Just Food For Dogs was the major factor to their lifespan.

My fuzz babies LOVE the food. Some of it smells so good it temps me to eat it (I don't, but I am tempted). My vet recommended this place to me and my dogs have never been so healthy! They both have more energy, their weights stabilized, the bloating disappeared, the itching nearly disappeared (though my dog does have allergies so I didn't expect it to disappear completely), and they make prescription dog food!!! Love this place, I recommend it to all my other fuzz parent friends.

First visit there. We were greeted by thoughtful, intelligent people who made an excellent case for their product - - food for dogs made from food that people would actually eat.All of us are concerned about the type and quality of the food we eat, because we can see (and feel) the difference. Applying the same reasonable logic to the food we provide to our companions is reasonable, as well.Nice people, very open and helpful.

I loved Just Food For Dogs even if my dog hated their food.The workers there are very personal and care lot about your dog and your dog's needs. They waited for me to call my vet, gave me a TON of information and told me about all of their food choices. I have a dog with kidney disease and was hoping I'd be able to use their food. Unfortunately, Mabel wasn't so keen on it.All of the customers that came in while I was there (And I was there for over 30 minutes) loved it and many told me how well their dogs were doing on the food from this store.I brought my husky with me and he just was able to hang out and get numerous treats.

Like many I loved the idea of spoiling my doggy and bought weekly by the bucket for my German Shepherd. I set up a standing order and the only option I had was weekly, I technically needed the huge container every 10 days but they only offer it weekly. I explained to the nice gentleman in the Sherman Oaks store that I may not make it every Saturday from where I lived and asked if I had options. He said "that if I am not in by the third day, they will freeze it for me". . I couldn't get out there on the exact day (Saturday) a few weeks ago and went several days after and they froze it (which was expected) and I was grateful. Again, thought it was part of the service. When I picked it up, No one made any comment that it was a one time thing. The same gentleman that placed my order quickly retrieved the box, greeted me by name with a smile and thanks which I loved. I went away this week on a trip and didn't make it on time, went to pick up what I thought would have been frozen food only to find out they hadn't done it this time and threw away the food (could have donated to a shelter...just sayin) Then in the same sentence, was told the general manager no longer wanted my business because it happened before. Advice: Maybe you should better inform your employees to not tell customers that you'll freeze it if it's not part of the $100 weekly order. It would also have been kinder to have shared that they could no longer do it for future orders, instead they preferred to lose me. It must be a great business to easily dispose of customers. One star for awful customer service and for throwing away a loyal customer. So disappointed!

My dog Sasha LOVES the food and treats and LOVES going there. Thankfully we live in the area so I can just stop in to pick up food. When we are out walking nearby Sasha insists we go inside, the workers are always kind and willing to giving Sasha another treat sample. They work hard to know you and your dog by name. Cathy and Mona are Sasha's favorites. They have always been welcoming and helpful since our first visit. The food is pricey but well worth it. After switching Sasha to this food my vet commented on how healthy she was and great he coat and eyes etc looked!!

The food is expensive but they have prescription food that I just can't get anywhere else. All the food they have they make in house and the staff is extremely friendly. After my dog came home from the emergency vet there was no where for me to get metabolic food for him. And he loves what we bring home. The place is very clean and has plenty of parking behind the store.

Great place. Pete is the best. They can get whatever you need and follow-up promptly when the item arrives. I mean, come on, when your cat needs a grain free designer cat food from Italy, where else would you go!??!! Best place to spoil your kitty.

We switched our pups to Just Food for Dogs a little over a year ago. Senior dogs who now act like puppies. Kibble is fast food, even at the premium level. This food costs a lot more but our dogs are worth it

Great place for high quality, human grade dog food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be a little difficult, but it's right on Ventura Blvd. so what else would you expect. There are a few parking spots behind the building that are free otherwise street parking is metered and it is monitored.

This isnt just the store, its one of the kitchens. The products are good and the staff is friendly, parking isnt great, the parking in back has a huge beeak in the asphalt and it is kind of like valet parking in that the cars can stack and you could be parked in. There are meters on the street but it is always busy. Try to visit during off hours to mitigate parking problems. Otherwise its a good store with a good product

I have a Bengal cat that uses the restroom in the toilet. She had explosive poopy problems for months. I spent thousands of dollars on the best organic food raw food. Vets from Sherman Oaks to Celebrity Malibu Vets. X-rays, ultra sounds, blood work! I switch to o Just food For Cats and in 24 hours she was better.

Their order process is a disaster. Do not even try to call them. You will be on hold forever. I;m currently on hold for over 20 minutes as caller #2. It cannot believe they told me to do this in the sheman oaks store.My dog likes the food. It is expensive.

Every couple of months price is going up, I was buying big package and dividing 6 pieces now big package comes only 4package they saying same pound but they lying it’s not same , every time they disappoint you more and more ,when you see changes on packages and prices.
