Love always visiting the Lake and renting the boats for a day out on the Lake. Staff is friendly and the grounds are always clean. We rent a slip for the jet ski’s and personal boat. We have never had an issue or problems storing.

I love that this place is so quiet, so peaceful. And yet still has so much to do.This is one place you definitely want to stop in at and take a moment to enjoy the breath taking views.Shaver lake marina is about two miles up from lake shaver downtown and worth the extra couple of miles.

We stayed in a cabin for our anniversary and it was awesome. The house was perfect. So small but big enough for us. I was able to go for a nice quiet walk and see wonderful sites. The neighborhood is beautiful and shaver lake marina a short drive away. We rented this cabin for 3 days and a boat @ shaver lake marina. Had a blast. I even had time to decorate for a nice romantic dinner for 2. We rented the boat early @ 7am because the later one sold out. So if you want to rent for afternoon book early. It worked out great, the morning sounds were great. Very quiet.. Loved it. All the dishes you need are here. I also felt so safe.

The memories were worth way more than the price we paid to rent this boat. $220 / 5 hours for Priceless family adventure.I was able to enjoy a glass of wine while my son drove me around the lake.We rented a 10 passenger pontoon boat from camp Edison marina on a Friday afternoon in June and it was an absolute perfect day. We took aboard 2 ice chests, 4 kids, & 3 adults. The day use area has alot of lakeside picnic tables and the tress kept the area cool and shaded.Yes of course we cut the engine and anchored in the center of the Lake for a quik 15 minute dip. It was hot and the cool water felt good. Usually I don't have a problem swimming back to the boat, but HERE I did . There seemed to be a "different kind of under current" going on. For years we would launch and swim in cottonwood cove (Colorado river). The depth there is more than 100 feet , Shaver Lake depth was only 50 feet, yet I had more difficulty swimming back over to the boat? The water isn't the cleanest , but it didn't leave a "fishy " smell on us, our clothes or towels .IMPORTANT NOTE :USE BUG SPRAYI didn't realize til next day when I kept scratching and scratching how many clusters of mosquito bites I had on my exposed body.*** THIS BOAT HAD ALOT OF COMFORTABLE SPACE FOR ALL 7 OF US.

Always a fun time going to Shaver lake. It's my favorite lake to visit and I love taking my duck and corgi puppy. I'm going to miss summer time, but I'm excited for the winter up in Shaver

Make sure you check your boat before you take it out!!! When we returned, they charged us for breaking a propeller but they never showed us that it wasn’t broken before we took the boat out. It could’ve been like that when we left they just wanted to make a buck off of inexperienced customers. Shady way to do business. The boat was also drenched with water from the night before and they didnt even have a towel to wipe it down with.

We rented a 6 passenger fishing boat. The boat was literally run down for the price we paid for, for the day. The steering was very sloppy could not keep the boat straight while strolling or even at 15 miles an hour driving across the lake. Thought we would loose the steering wheel cause how bad it was.There was a Gas leak at the portable tank where the hose connects to. Had to try to fix that. The chairs on the boat were almost coming off where is was attached. The gear box where it shift the gears it was loose and could not figure if the gear was in forward or neutral. Such a piece of junk. Shasta lake Marine seem to not really care about their boats or customers who rent these boats. Why I say this is because I told the staff after my trip about the issues and they seem to not really care about what I said. It was like oh well. Your tripIs done now please leave.We won’t be renting from this place again.Such a disappointment in a business that should be about safety of a vessel. This boat needs to be taken out of service so it can be repaired or replaced.

My cousin booked a reservation with Shaver Lake Marina. The boat we got quit working shortly after we left the dock. We called for help and they came out and changed the fuel line and said it should work.. we wasted about an hour of our reservation waiting for this fix and it still didn’t work unless I was manually pumping the fuel line. The manager offered no discount besides gas and I just felt like it was such an awful accommodation. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Pricing and service are great, and the boats are super comfortable. But I really wish they'd stop using plastic props on their boats because it causes a lot of cavitation. We rented the 24' pontoon with 135 hp motor and could barely get it to go above a snail's pace...completely defeated the purpose of renting a towable tube. We were all bummed. Great boats to tour around the lake and relax, though!

We rented a 12 person pontoon boat in July 2022. I was very disappointed with the quality of the boat. The website lists “Premium Boat” and “Standard Boat”. Unfortunately, the standard boat means very, very old boat. Half of the seats had tears in the stitching of 10 inches or more. The boat was not clean… left water bottles and hair brush from previous borrower. The canopy was metal, not cloth like the boat on the website. I feel like the pictures and descriptions on the marina rental website are not accurate and misleading. For $480, I expected a boat of better quality.The website said that we could tow with the boat and charged us an extra $30 surcharge. However, the boat topped out at about 10 miles per hour. Yes, we could put a tube behind the boat, but it was far from the “tubbing experience” we were hoping to give the kids.We still had a good time and made memories. I just am very frustrated with the Shaver Lake Marina website because of its lack of accurate descriptions, surcharges, and poor pictures of true inventory. If renting from this marina, I would call and ask lots of questions before reserving.

The folks at the marina are nice. Normally they have a staff that is well versed and know everything about the lake. This trip, I noticed some less experienced help, although I did see some of the employees who have been working there the past couple of summers. I think part of the inexperience was that the lake unfortunately just opened a couple of weeks ago due to the Governors orders and shutdown of the state.The boat that we rented was in great shape. The guys that checked us out were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Nice little marina store where you can buy a few things related to fishing and such. You can also rent boats here. The staff is efficient and very helpful. They all did a great job getting us our boat and wrapping us up when we returned.

I wouldn’t even consider giving them a star but I have to so I can right my review of the worst experience of shaver lake. Me and my family camp every year this year we chose shaver lake. The first night was actually very nice we had no problems with rangers or anything of the sort. Considering my family is very large we generally have issues of being to loud but we try our best to mind others. When we got back from the water the rangers came to our campsite telling us to quiet our music at 7:45. There quiet time is 10. Then they came back later to harass me and my family calling us crazy and we are replaceable. The two rangers names are Henry and deseree. We tried to be very respectful to them but they were complete jerks. They stalked our campsite all night and gave us like no privacy. They evicted me and my family the next morning. We’ve never had such an experience like this one.

First off, I want to say the only reason that I am giving this other than 1 star is because I got refunded. The place was significantly understaffed which meant that we didn't get our boat until an hour after our scheduled time. However the marina policy is that your time ends on schedule no matter what, so this means I paid for a 2 hour rental, but was only going to get 1 hour worth of time. I had to negotiate to get an hour added to my boat, which would have been great except. We got out of the marina area, and 20 minutes into the trip the battery died and we spent 30-35 mins waiting for someone to swap out the battery. We were up and running for another 20-25 mins and the battery went dead again. Either we had 2 bum batteries in a row, or the boat had a short in it. Finally we got swapped out with a brand new battery and turned a fishing trip into a couple of turns around the lake for 15 mins before we had to go back in. When I mentioned that the boat was not working for half of the time, they tried to tell me that I was all set and could go. I repeated that I spent half of my time drifting with the wind and paying full price didn't seem appropriate, their response was to give me my 15$ gas fee back. I suggested that was enough for what I went through, and eventually I got a full refund. I was not expecting this, I was willing to pay for half of it, which is effectively what I got to make use of, but honestly this is the only reason why I am giving it 3 stars. Had I had to pay half price, this would have been 1 or 2 stars as I think a place should keep their boats in better service than this. I do know that at this time just past covid being fully staffed is difficult.

Very professional! Made reservation easy!! Very nice lady!!! Also love flare rate for gas!!!! Will let Everyone know how it was!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁went had great time but boat was gross, rips and tears on every seat almost, boat had metal sticking out on side of it! BUT VERY FRIENDLY, IT WAS FUN, 7 YEAR OLD GIRL HAD BLAST!!!!!

Sucks to leave this because the lake is so beautiful, but just poor customer service. Had to call multiple times to get an answer from the reservations line, but when I did get through I booked a four person fishing boat with a kanopy (As seen on their website). When we arrived, we were told that the person who took my reservation SHOULD have told me that the kanopy was not available (This is new boat, same model, but no covering). Despite admitting that it was their staff's fault for not communicating that when I booked the boat, the company refused to offer any kind of compensation for their failure. I was told to either take the boat or take my money back and leave. We had driven over an hour to get there, so we took the boat. It was an unpleasant service experience. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for rentals.

Rented a 12 passenger pontoon and it fit all of us perfectly. The boat ran perfect all day and enabled us to explore all of Shaver Lake. Tons of sandy beach areas to dock and enjoy your own private beach, then head off to cliff dive off some rocks somewhere else, then just float in the middle of the lake and enjoy the view. Worth every dollar. Great customer service. Reserving a boat was a breeze. I'm making this my go-to spot for Shaver Lake rentals. Can't wait to go back and get back on the water.

My family and I were visiting Shaver Lake for the weekend and planned to rent a pontoon boat for 12. We called on the phone and were told that we the only boat available was a 10 person boat. However the staff on the phone told us that we could rent a 10 boat just as long as we had two people on the attached inter-tube. However when we arrived we were told that we could not do this. I was very unhappy about how misinformed I was. I hope next time the staff will better handle the situation and offer a solution.

We rented a pontoon boat based on the prices and boat discription listed on their web site. I reserved a 6 passenger boat and was first given a pretty run down 10 passenger boat. There were only 3 of us so that was a lot of extra boat we didn't want or need. I spoke to them and they put us in a smaller run down pontoon with torn seats and mildew on the cushions, which would have been great EXCEPT, that big boat had an 8 hp motor on it. At top speed we never left a wake. They advertise 20/30 hp motors on these boats which would have been much better. But my biggest complaint is that the people who rented the brand new boat just like our run down one paid the same price as I did but they got to see the whole lake (not just half) much more comfortably. I won't be doing business with this establishments again.

This marina was very good to my family. We busted a propeller and they helped us out quick and cheap. Jeremy and Beau and Joelyn were especially helpful and kind. Definitely recommend these guys.

The most beautiful and fun lake in Cali! Islands and rocks to leap from, tree swings from tall pines, offroading everywhere. You can camp for free in the surrounding hills and streams. It's not developed so come prepared. Quite a climb up the road from the valley if u have a 4-banger. It's $10 to park at the marina but the rentals are not expensive.

This time of year it is one of the few places open on weekdays. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite. It is a very simple place and serves it's purpose. Again, I want to thank and praise the young lady and two gentleman who worked the morning we were there.

Yesterday, August 27th, we were really enjoying our family camping trip when my 89 year old father became ill. Within two minutes a great Lady, Park Ranger was passing by. She assessed the situation, called 911 and within 15 minutes we were in ambulance on our way to hospital. Had it not been for these great first responders we would not have our Father with us today. God bless you and Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have loyal campers now, just need to leave Dad at home. God bless

I used to own a boat but now it's so much nicer to just rent one for a day from here. Great place to plan an outing with friends (rent a couple of pontoons) and go relax on the lake. If everyone chips in, it's actually not very expensive.
