You forgot it, they got it! Ice cream, cold beer, souvenirs, fishing tackle, firewood, snacks, produce, and more. The best store in Shaver Lake for over 40 years. The owners are very nice people. They always have the 411 on what’s going on around town.

Big place with anything you need, including clothing. Full grocery selection, meat is frozen. Fishing gear, candy and treats for kids. Bought a cozy winter hat and staff was super friendly. Plenty of parking, would definitely go back.

Was excited to shop here. My score is based on the customer service. We stopped to shop before a day on the lake. My friend went in to buy his son a poncho. His son was not with him at the time of purchase. The poncho didn't fit and my friends son went to get a larger size. He's the sweetest kid, teenager with autism. He asked at the register and the really young cashier asked the person in charge. The older white lady, possibly wearing glasses and had either a nose or lip ring very sternly told him, no returns or exchanges. The sign is posted right there. You have to read the sign. I was really disappointed with how she spoke to him. His dad literally walked to the car with it about a minute or two prior. Her tone was exceedingly rude. Its not like he wore it on the lake all day and then tried to return it. This store is a keystone location in this area and they should consider how they treat customers. The rest of our purchases were done at Bob's, down the road.**Ken's responded. Policy I get. Its how we were spoken to and treated.

Very nice store customer service was excellent and for a resort type store( most people take food and other necessities with them while visiting the area the prices were fair .

This is a souvenir shop and small grocery market in one store. Very high prices on groceries, but they have lots of basics that might help complete a meal if you need something. The souvenirs are not cheap, but they do have some good options for any age. Sweatshirts, tanks, hats, slingshot, magnets, toys, and more! Nice place to stop at Shaver Lake.

I have been here several times over the last few years. Good selection of supplies for a mountain store. Lost of souvenirs. The staff is nice, but it is obvious they have to try very hard to pretend they are glad to see you.

Rascist? The store had a lot for a small town. I was able to get certain things i needed, but im giving this place a 2 star for terrible service. The chubby, white, middle aged, dark haired lady was rude! I hate to pull the race card, but she is also likely racist! I asked her if they had smaller sweat pants for adults and she directed me to the kids section and was very also short with me when answering my question. She acted like she was in a rush also. She had just opened the store and there weren't that many people so not sure what her problem was. When we went to pay for our stuff, her behavior changed. She acted all friendly because my white husband was checking out our stuff. She didn't realize we were together when we walked through the door until we both were standing in front of the register. My husband saw her facial expression from afar during our brief communication. In the car, after we had paid, he asked me if she was being inappropriate. Mind you, I didn't say anything to my husband about about the interaction i had with this woman until he brought it up in the car. He just saw the communication from a distance and through her facial expressions, he thought she was being rude but wanted to ask me first in case he misinterpreted it. I was trying to give this woman the benefit of the doubt but my husband confirmed and validated my initial thought about this rude, racist woman! I've been in small southern towns before and I used to get these sorts of things all the time unfortunately. I just didn't think it would happen in california and in shaver with so many tourists and different kinds of people!

Cute place...love the remodel. The first time I stopped in I found it odd that when buying an item of clothing, they ask if it will fit whom it is being bought for. Now don't you think you would be doing your very best to buy the correct size? That just seems like a senseless question to ask everyone. Their point is that they don't allow returns for whatever reason but there is def a better way to handle that. It's off putting. The market is well stocked and the gift shop also had great stuff. The ice cream is the best in Shaver.

Pricey, ice $9+ bucks, but where else are you going to get it. Opens late and closes early during the week- better hours on the weekend.Bye the way, the firewood guy comes every night, and he's so cool- wait and get firewood from him $1 per piece.

If only I could give it zero stars… this was the first sign I saw when I first walked in. You guys are missing the mark, because of the large percentage of people that enter your market are tourists! Vegans don’t even stop by!

Expensive, for everyday type groceries, however if your up there already way cheaper than driving back down the hill.. you’re paying for convenience. Plus it’s a small business. Support them when you can.

We love Ken's Market. From fishing to groceries and souvenirs to ice cream they have pretty much everything. If you forgot something on your way to camping, or want to buy a Shaver Lake sweatshirt you will not be disappointed. The staff were kind and courteous and very engaging. It is a welcoming and warm general store that doesn't try to pretend to be what it's not. Keep up the good work.

Perfect place to grab things you forgot before coming up the mountain. We forgot eggs, bread and a few other things. I asked my uncle if he needed anything since we had to drive an hour down the hill because we got distracted with the kids asking for stuff and forgot things while grocery shopping in Clovis and he said go out the campsite and less then 3 minutes you'll see Ken's they have everything you need then you can grab the rest for tomorrow when you go back down the mountain after the lake today. If we need anything during our next camping trip we'll definitely be back.

Awesome stop in Shaver for supplies! They can really save the day if you forgot something at your house before coming up the hill. Fruits and veggies too.

Go down the road to bobs instead! Unless you want to be talked bad about by the cashiers. Bad customer service, who in the world talks bad about a customer when their daughter is right there next to them! Horrible

Neat little store. We give known the owners right after they purchased the store years ago. Since owning the store they were able to get an adjoining space which doubled the size of the store. They are personable, friendly, great to talk to and visit with, and they provide awesome customer service. With the store being so far from any city, they still provide all the basics plus a little more. Food is delicious, prices are reasonable especially with distance added in. Highly recommended you stop by and at least get an ice cream!

Great place to get food, any little camping supplies you may have forgotten. There is a deli inside to get sandwiches made up. Some clothing, swim stuff. Little bit of everything.

Best place in shaver lake for getting your essentials before going higher to camp or while you're staying at the cabin for a vacation. It's a little pricey but then everything in shaver is (it's how they make any money!) Staff was super helpful and kind, and everyone was nice that we encountered there.

Ken’s is the perfect market to visit if you are vacationing up in Shaver Lake and forgot to pick up something at your local market that you needed for the trip. It’s not like going into your neighborhood Albertsons, but I would imagine that if you forgot a food item or dry good they have enough that you will find what you need. Over the years Ken’s has expanded. It is very clean inside and the employees are helpful and friendly.

They have a surprisingly good selection of food, toiletries, and first aid gear. They saved my bacon one year when I had impacted ear wax, and they had a ear wax removal kit (TMI, I know). The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly.

Camping? Forgot something? This place is your best bet to find it. Fresh produce to more fish hooks, to ice cream for the kids. So friendly that they even have a pet station outside for your pet (no non-service animals allow inside - Fresno HD rules). Plenty of parking and a great shopping experience. Staff is friendly and fair.

They have done a great job fixing this place up! Great stock of foods and sundries needed for the mountain. Prices are a bit high on some items but that's what you pay when you forget to bring things up the mountain. ;-)

Was a customer for 40 years. I know there has been through different management over the years, but being asked to leave today by a guy who lacked personal and social skills in my opinion lost our business for life. We have a legal support dog with all the paperwork and you guys simply don’t care. I believe you are breaking the law. While I agree in principle that a business should be able to make its own rules , we are not in a free country, we are in California, I pay high taxes to support this state so I get to play by its goofy rules. There is another market in town. It’s just not be me cause I didn’t see any customers in your place but the store up the road there was a line to pay for 10 min where we gladly waited. Empty business, I’m sure we are not the only people being put off by the man who seemed socially awkward. It’s all about how you hand things. Had he handled it differently, we would feel another way

Tons of stuff for a small market, very much the indispensable community resource. The prices are VERY fair and the selection is more like a supermarket than a corner store. I really appreciate the personal effort that goes into getting great quality all the way up the hill.

Good spot to pick up any last essentials before going to enjoy Shaver Lake. They have beer, ice, chips, fire wood, water, etc. Tons of parking available and is boat friendly.
