I adopted my husky lab Dusty (then named Pluto) from here a few years ago and he is the best, most loyal, loving, intelligent creature I've ever had. He wasnt what I came in for but when they brought him out I realized he was the one! For this I am very lucky. Thank you! We live in philly now and he gets to swim in the creek every day w two other doggies

We adopted Dexter 2 days ago. He is the most wonderful dog ever.The staff there is solid, honest, and very caring for the pets. The dog I adopted was everything we have ever wanted.5 stars are not enough.

I have been visiting Mt.Shasta animal shelter since October 2022,I am so impressed with the whole facility! Jasmine with her beautiful smile and Austin his devoted attention both who want nothing but the best for their animals.I have seen many Animal Shelters that don't offer anything like this one. They are very dedicated to their job. From fostering to adoption and meeting their health needs... very impressive!I have helped with dog walking, play time (1 on 1), fostering and anxious to help out more when needed.But most of all in the next day or 2 I get to bring home my long, long needed doggie friend. For his forever home. Mine

Such great people that work there. I adopted my cat there who is about 10 yrs old that has 2 b on a special diet 4 the rest of his life. I found out if they can't find homes 4 some of them that have special circumstances they will send them 2 another shelter that will already have found good homes 4 them. I think that's awesome.

I really can't enough wonderful things about this facility. They go out of their way to help anyone and their animals. I take in animals and find them Wonderful homes. They help you spay and neuter your animals. And their hearts are giant. I love this shelter and the beautiful people that work and volunteer here. 💝

I went to check out the kittens up for adoption. They had a group of 5 kittens for "fostering". I took a little guy (12 weeks old) he will get vaccinated later this month and once he weighs over 2 pounds he will be neutered, I will pay a $100 adoption fee at that time then he is all ours.The staff was very helpful and explained everything to me.More kittens becoming available soon.We named him Pixel calling him Pix for short

I absolutely adore the staff and the facilities. I got two of my beautiful cats from them and I couldn't be more happy. I'm hoping to get a dog soon so I'm keeping my eye out for one. :)

Long story made somewhat shorter..we found a young cat abandoned up on Mt. Shasta. We took it to the animal hospital and he ended up at this Humane Society. We decided to adopt him, but were about to go on vacation. Despite our best efforts, we could not take him with us. The Humane society and Kim, the director, were really great & kept the cat for us until we came back. This was really amazing, and we are grateful for everything they did for the little cat we ended up adopting. Kim was especially great, and it's obvious she cares about the animals.

Love the rooms for the cats and kittens. The cats were happy and most were friendly. They had two half feral kittens in the entryway that were being hand fed to learn how to trust people. Very nice place.

Everyone was so helpful and as eager to please as the pets they have there. Even though I am in deep mourning for the baby I lost, they called me with the info I gave them previously, and now I have Jinks.

They have weird rules where you can't adopt an animal if it isn't fixed and you can't get it fixed yourself... So I guess the problem of too many animals and not enough adoptions was solved at some point? They do have rules to prevent people that shouldn't adopt from adopting so that's a good thing.
