I am an avid camper. It was my first time here and I really wanted to like this place. It’s on beautiful lake siskiyou. Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience, so I decided to share here…Our group came up for a Saturday night to camp. Although online it said the resort was open, it barely was. The closest bathrooms had no toilet paper, soap or paper towels. Every single trash dumpster we checked was locked closed. No activities or boat rentals were available. The restaurant and grill were completely closed all weekend. They wouldn’t let us look at the camp sites ahead of time to pick one we liked. And It ended up all the sites in our little loop were full, back to back with tents and RVs, while the other 100+ sites in the other loops remained closed and empty.Unfortunately, our campsite was almost 50% higher in cost than it had been advertised online. And we were charged an extra 25% for taxes, surcharge and “guest resort use fee” for each person (what are we paying for if it’s all closed and why is that not included in the price of camping anyways?) The staff would not budge on price. The manager, who I heard being rude to other customers, said she couldn’t do anything about the price. The owners need to empower the managers in customer service - we paid more than 4 times what we’d have paid at another local campground. This time of year there should have been a lower price option, at least without the resort use fee since it was basically Closed. We should have just camped along the river for free but my friend wanted a bathroom. They almost charged us $70 for an electric site but thankfully I caught that, so in the end our primitive campsite was $55. No lake view campsites exist, we were told. Bathrooms are old and run down.We were woken up at 8am to loud heavy machinery about 20 feet away from our tent, clearing trees all Sunday morning. We came to camp to get away from the noise of the city to a “resort” that was nothing but the most expensive primitive camp loop I’ve been to, packed with all the guests. And with no regard for “guests” at that.I doubt I’ll be back. Heard it’s completely packed in the summer but I can’t see why the way this trip went. And those crowds actually don’t sound any better than waking up to heavy machinery. We made the most of it and enjoyed our time together and the portion of the lake trail that wasn’t at the resort! Very pretty lake.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Lake Siskiyou. Dogs are not allowed in the beach area, but they are allowed on other parts of the lake. Nice trail around lake. Large Campground with several group camping areas. We stayed near the lake but we didn't have a view of the lake from our class C Motorhome.Walkability: They have several easy walking trails from our camp site. The boat dock was about a 10-minute walk.Food & drinks: They also had a store and restaurant within walking distance from our camping site.

We rented a “big” cabin on the lake for two nights. It had a bedroom with a queen bed, two small bunk beds, a tiny bathroom, tiny kitchen, and a family room. While the cabin was cute and functional, it was very dirty and disappointing. When we got there, the cabin was sweltering hot. After cranking the AC (a small unit in the living space) for an hour, we discovered that a bedroom window had been left open. Mind you it was 100 degrees that day. A couple hours later when the bedroom was still like an oven, we discovered the bathroom window (the bathroom is right off the bedroom) had also been left open. Needless to say, we had a rough time sleeping because we were hot and sweating all night. The insides of the kitchen drawers and cupboards were so dirty that I didn’t want to eat off of any of the dishes or utensils. So I went out and bought paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils. There was an entire cupboard full of opened packages of food from the previous renters. There was a half-empty water bottle on the bedroom windowsill. When I tried to turn on the tub faucet, a big chunk of slimy mildew fell into the tub. The floors were grimy and dirty. The shelf grates in the fridge were completely rusted. The inside of the oven was so filthy I didn’t want to cook in it. The sliding-glass door track was so caked with dirt and grime that it took a lot of strength to open and close every time. It seemed that whoever was in charge of cleaning the place between renters barely checked or cleaned anything. I get that it’s a lake cabin—I can do rustic. But I can’t do dirty. After we got home, I called the resort to give my polite but honest feedback, which you’d think they’d welcome to ensure future renters would have an enjoyable experience. The girl on the phone was rude and short with me, and it was clear that she couldn’t care less what I had to say.The lake itself of course was gorgeous and renting a pontoon boat made for a terrific day. Also the little restaurant/gift shops down the road were great. It’s ideal for families with young kids. We will probably go back but will stay in the nearby Best Western or maybe rent an RV. Although it was so cool to be in a cabin steps from the lake, with a deck and beautiful lake view, for us the lack of cleanliness took away from the whole experience. After taxes/fees we paid $224 a night; for that amount of money I do expect a clean place.

I've been camping here since I was a child. Now I camp here with friends. It's always a great half way place for me and my friends, to relax and enjoy our time together. They have clean bathrooms and including showers. The beach area is always big enough to enjoy without people being too close to you. Super friendly staff and prices you can't beat. You can't beat that beautiful view of Mt. Shasta while laying on the beach or lounging in a inner tube on the lake.

Our big group of families always has an amazing time at Camp Siskiyou! From the breathtaking natural beauty to the attentive staff, every aspect of the property is top-notch. The variety of activities, from hiking to the Splash zone at the beach, ensured there was something for all ages. The well-maintained accommodations were cozy, the gift shop is the best and has the most charming souvenirs and the kids enjoyed the arcade. Our group will visit Camp Siskiyou every year for unforgettable adventuring on Lake Sis! I highly recommend to families for a memorable vacation!

Best lake resort for family and family friends. So many activities to keep the kids busy. The staff at all stores, restaurants, lake beach rentals, boat dock and entrance were so kind and helpful. They have a one of a kind store you need to check out. So many memorable gifts and items to keep you shopping everyday! The cabin we stayed in was home away from home. It’s a memorable trip we’ll be doing every year! Highly recommended!

Stayed at a group camp site, the area was beautiful, the lake was amazing and kid friendly. The noise was not bad after about 11:00 it would die down, and the loud campers didn’t really bother my 7yr old or 16month old. They were able to fall asleep. My only complaint is that the bathrooms and showers were not very clean. The showers look old and a very bad need of a deep clean.

The campground is starting to fall apart. Clogged drains in the shower house, light fixtures half falling down, closed campsites due to lack of maintenance, noisy after 10pm, etc. Beautiful location and we had a good time in spite of the above problems. We will probably be back, but hopefully they will so some intensive maintenance over the next few months.

The Lake Sis Resort is a large campground with RV hookups, tent sites, and cabins, all alongside a beautiful reservoir, topped with views of Mt Shasta. It's large, there are loads of visitors, and there's a fair bit of noise, but nothing crazy. Rules are well-enforced and respected.A tent campsite cost us $49, which is on the pricey side, but the site was large enough for a number of tents and cars, came witha fie ring, and a picnic table. The restrooms were a short walk away, well-stocked, and clean.Rooms: A tent campsite cost us $49, which is on the pricey side, but the site was large enough for a number of tents and cars, came witha fie ring, and a picnic table. The restrooms were a short walk away, well-stocked, and clean.Nearby activities: The beach is great, but the nearby Shasta Wilderness, hiking trails, and Castle Crags State Park are all phonemenal!Safety: Felt safe the entire time and saw plenty of strangers helping one another out. Very wholesome vibes.Walkability: Walking throught the campground, to/from the general store, restaurant, beach, or restromms is easyNoteworthy details: The beach is nice, unfortunately a kind of a gravel instead of sand, but there are lots of activities for kids aside from the water. The water is beautiful.

Went for the week of July 4th. Was worried about the noise level after reading all of the negative reviews (our group had several small children). There definitely was some noise at night, but the sites are large and spaced out and everything quieted down completely by ~11. On July 3rd the site next to ours was having quite the party, but even that was not too bad. If you can, would recommend picking a site on the outside of the loops (fewer neighbors).Loved having access to the lake, splash zone, soft serve, nearby hiking, biking, and dining. Bathrooms were serviced everyday and clean enough. As long as you don't have too high of expectations or get very unlucky with your neighbors you should have a good time.Nearby activities: Trail around the lake for biking, hiking, running. Boat rentals. Fishing. Splash zone. Mountain biking (mount Shasta trails).

The campsites were nice. Bathrooms were nice. General store was great. People at the entrance shack were really nice….. but what is up with all the screaming children all night, music randomly playing and general sounds of chaos. It’s definitely not being enforced when it says quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. It seems like you probably could break all the rules and they wouldn’t do anything.

I had an amazing time with family, but the beds in the cabinets were extremely uncomfortable, the store is ridiculously overpriced and making every car pay just to even visit a campsite for an hour is a little ridiculous. The bathrooms are “cleaned every day“ yet there is ridiculous amounts of spiders and webs all in the windows, and all in the showers. With the amount of money they charge for just a campsite they should be able to remodel the bathrooms and make them feel for her lesson dirty.

Gorgeous ! Day use (only a few bucks) for us only so far, will be back! Shop, food, bathroom on location. The bathroom is in the parking lot and was pretty disgusting end of the day tbh, and there is a short walk involved (couple min and easy path). The float thing in the picture is $14/hr... my kid lasted mb 20 min lol but so worth it! They had life jackets and let us use our own. 5 stars for the view and water alone! Safe easy place to begin exploring this beautiful lake 😁. Think we heard some live music going near by as well.Food & drinks: Pretty junky and fried but was yummy 🤷🏼♀️

Made reservations for a family trip and called to find out specifics on camping site measurements for our vehicle…after calling once and then talking to some other friends that were going, we had received different information regarding parking length. I called again and was told that each site is different and they want all vehicles parked on the cement slap at each site but that they didn’t have exact measurements for each site. Being a planner and not wanting any vacation headaches, I decided to call again and ensure they were open so I could drive two hours to check out the resort. After the two hour drive, I arrived at the entrance gate to pay my entrance fee for day use… the girl ask what I would be doing and I told her we had reservations at the end of the month and that I wanted to check out the resort and make sure I was prepared due to the varying information I had received on parking size for the vehicles at the campsite. The girl helping me stated that she couldn’t allow me to go in as she wanted to protect the other campers privacy…I explained that I just wanted more information and simply driving by would probably be enough and that I would pay the entrance fee for the opportunity to spend five minutes driving through to check out the resort and our future camp site…she stated again that she would not allow me to enter the park for the privacy of the current guests. I found this pretty ridiculous, especially since they had no specific information to offer me online or by a conversation on the phone….cancelled the reservation. Beautiful location, terrible service.

Honestly not worth the price. The campsites are super expensive (and they even tacked additional fees onto mine after I already paid). You have to pay an extra $35 to secure your site number, because they can change it at any time and give the good sites to the people who are able to pay more for a site you've already picked out and paid for. They do not provide bear lockers and bears WILL come onto the campground at night for food. Put your food in your cars and be prepared to engage in or listen to yelling and throwing rocks to scare them away. The bathrooms and showers are not kept up, and the doors don't work and it's generally just an awful experience. Plus some of the sites are super far away so good luck going to the bathroom at night. The campsites are not well maintained- some are on a hill, some have deep tire tracks that pose a hazard when it's dark, some parking spots have deep potholes, some sites are on a serious slope and have no good place for a tent so you and your belongings will be constantly moving around. The security guards are on constant patrol and are super strict about where you park, but don't feel the need to enforce the quiet time rule at 10. If you don't like staying up until midnight listening to drunk people partying and making howling noises, this is not the place for you. A large group of people start howling at about 10 every night and I have a feeling it's the employees because it happens every night, even on different weekends. The beach is so packed that it's hard to enjoy and the swimming area is so small that you can barely even bring a floaty. The only reason I even gave this 2 stars is because the area/scenery is beautiful and they have amenities such as a store and laundromat.

Absolutely gorgeous! Everything was wonderful. Just wish the bathrooms were updated not much privacy in certain areas showers the slots between showers to wide and needs being cleaned daily so many insects are creepy but that is it.

It was a horrible experience. The cabin was horribly dirty and the customer service was ridiculous. We ended up asking you for a refund for one night because if we came, it was not what we expected and they said sorry because we checked in already then we’re stuck there for the two nights we ended up just leaving early and called them to let them know, and then they said that oh if you would’ve checked out like an hour earlier than we would’ve been able to Her and all the customer service is horrible off the day that we end up deciding to leave the morning we called them over 50 times in a matter of three hours and never got one single phone call picked up or called back. we left multiple messages the customer services I would not recommend staying here. The cabin is dirty and not cleaned well when we came in, it was still dirty. Staff was very rude.

Paid $58 to camp her for one night. Power was out in the entire campground, bathrooms were trashed from 6pm and still at 10am the next morning. This place looked perfect, like it had it all. We were excited only to be severely let down. 😩

Overall beautiful campground. Sadly our RV campground looked like they stopped halfway into clearing it from brush and trees they didn't deem necessary. The campgrounds have a lot of rules. Which is fine, but does security REALLY need to drive by at times it felt like every 45min? We went the week before Summer season so yes, they were getting ready. Just for next time if you want to rent a space, have it ready. The lake and views were amazing. The general store had a lot of supplies and ice cream. The RV dump station definitely comes in handy. It was a pleasant stay. If you have RV or TT definitely recommend FULL hookups. Don't go for electric only. It was normal outlets and not allowed to run generators.

Entree fee is $2 per day. We visited to sit on the beach, enjoy the view and do some kayaking in Lake Siskiyou. Mount Shasta view is amazing from this place, but I was astounded to not find any snow in August. It melted within a couple of weeks :(Many visitors come to camp and its indeed a peaceful place for such an activity. Best time to visit is probably right after summer break is over and before wildfires happen. They close the gates at a certain time so be sure to leave timely if you don't want to camp.Restrooms: I didn't notice any, please check before you plan.

Beautiful lake. Nice and small, easy to get around by paddle board or kayak. Not to busy out on the water but very busy around the beach and campground. Do not rent from the marina. Rent from the beach. The lady that helped us with our reservation was so unbelievably rude and condescending. We rented through their online reservation slot for two double and two single kayaks. The picture shows renting ones with paddles and has both options for paddles and fishing ones with pedals. We rented the ones based on the website description ones with paddles. That's not what we were given and she continued to argue with me. We had kids having to learn how to work fishing kayaks and having troubles with three of the kayaks' seats locking. We spent 30 min out on the water trying to figure out how to lock the seats in place and have them not collapse either. My kids know how to work kayaks with paddles but not peddling fishing kayaks, which they are too short for anyways. Rent from the beach. They have a better selection and are far more nice.
