This is not the helpful ace I know the employees closing at 3/2/2024 were no where near helpful. I needed small simple things and was treated like a theif and confronted about using a chain cutter Noone had time to help me with 15 mins before close and after checking put still having time before close. I stopped by this location It is located right by the freeway this isn't my first time I have always found what I need is well merchandise, well managed plus the employees are not pushy they let me browse. At this occasion I stopped to buy some screws because I am trying to build a work table with free pallets.

The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. They seem to have a tiny bit of everything category-wise but very small space so limited options in each category, especially wood stain and stain-like products. Spray paint Im sure you won’t have a problem finding what you need. An entire half aisle of shelving top to bottom with some specialty sprays also. Order online pick up in store available but have to walk to back counter to pick up. Staff five stars Store overall 3.5

I needed some sand bags for the downpour of rain we had. My garage was getting flooded. They were super helpful in giving ideas on what else I could do and even looked in the back for things that weren't on the shelf . Always friendly and right there for any questions.

Just spoke to Joleen and told her that I always find the store to be well stocked and clean. What I didnt tell her was that I have been all over the state and this has been the best ACE store that I have seen and the other ACE stores are nothing to be sneezed at.I have been coming to this store for 17 years

Although small the staff here is very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for those of us who don’t wanna run into town to a big box store. Although the prices are usually slightly higher than the big box stores it’s nice to support locally owned smaller stores who actually care about their customers. The staff seems to be generally more in tune with customers needs and more knowledgeable about their products. Would definitely recommend.

I think your customer service is awesome. But I do think there is so much price gouging. How are you going to charge $10 for one bottle of propane when you can get two bottles down the road for less than that. That's definitely not the only example.

Really great store! Bigger than you would think and they had everything I was looking for and more. Friendly helpful staff on hand to help too! Actually enjoyed shopping for once. Great alternative to the big Lowes and Home Depot. Will return.

They need a new card machine,denied my card the last 3 times I have been there to make a large purchase when I had plenty of money in the bank. My card works fine every where else I go.I just want to add that the embarrassment your customers feel should make it worth to update the machine. You ask that we forgive and forget and come try again,when you offer no resolution of the problem.

Ace“IS” the place. If you need anything they’ve probably got it. They also have a web site that is pretty awesome. Things you wouldn’t think they handle. Great crew too. To have Ace in the vicinity of our little City is so convenient for all of us who live here in Shasta Lake, and saves time and fuel for us. Granted, you might save a couple of bucks going into Redding to some Big Box Store but, you’ll also spend more time, energy, and fuel-If you’re like most people then you don’t have any extra time or energy or fuel. I can’t stress it enough to support your local businesses. Even if it costs you a few more dollars.I’m not sure if they’re locally owned ,but you can ask for your self when you go in. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and you’re in and out before you know it.

Great helpful staff and semi-wide selection. We went to them for a lot of supplies while we were renovating our bedroom and bathroom. At one point we came in to get another pint of paint for the bathroom and they ended up giving us the wrong color!! Oops! Luckily they handled it quickly & nicely the next day once we realized it didnt match up and gave us a new pint free! Thanks guys!!

I called and asked if a bike helmet advertised on line was available in stock. They said yes 2 sizes. I drove in chexked it out & purchased smaller size one. Very friendly like they say Ace is the helpful place is true🙂

I called to inquire if this store had a certain item in stock. The female who answered was polite, yay! and most helpful. I can say I was most impressed. Drove to this store and found numerous employees willing to offer assistance, yay again! The attitude by all at this business shows me that management is caring and actually trains the employees. I really appreciate that and find it a rare occurrence in today's marketplace. I highly recommend this business and will go back if I need any of their goods. Solid 5 star rating here.

The customer service at this ace is deplorable. I have shopped at ace for years, and love to support local small businesses, but I will now never shop at another ace again. If you want your stuff in a timely, courteous fashion, do not order online for store or curbside. They will misplace your order, and then when you are forced to call and find out what happened, you will only get excuses and bad manners from the staff. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I showed up right at closing time to get a small bolt that would have taken less than 1 minute to grab and get to the counter. The guy at the door was adamant about not letting me in, even after I showed him what I needed. There were two people I could see at the cash register and I would have been there with my little bolt before they checked out. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I was shocked and told him that is bad business. He didn't really seem to care. On another note, it's hard to get help when I do go here. The employees walk around with, it seems, no purpose. I "used" to go here for convenience, not anymore. Very disappointed.

The older man with the ponytail and the older guy that is a retired plumber never fail to steer me in the right direction. They are very patient about listening to what my problem is and always have a workable fix for my problems. It would be a great loss if they retire.
