Had to replace the tub valve due to hard water lockup. A great selection of valves means I knew that the one I needed would be in stock. Ace was way more helpful than the Orange hardware store. Thanks to all the helpful associates for making my shopping experience less of a headache.

Incredible hardware with great selection of everything what you need for any kind of work or project. Grafting knifes is hard to founded but Nelson hardware have a nice selection of diferent brands and price.

Got to hand it to Nelson's Ace Hardware in Selma. Seems like, they always come thru when you're in a pickle, and have to finish another job from the Honey-do list. Was in the process of installing a new garbage disposal , which went along with the new sink and new quartz counters, when, as usual, I was in need of a longer garbage disposal hose. The Big Box stores didn't carry what I needed....yeah, they had something similar, but was available only in a 10 foot length. Really, what do I do with the excess? Just a waste of $$$. So, I gave a call to Ace in Selma and Ralph picked up the phone. Yes we carry the hose, and it is sold by the foot. Great. Problem solved. However, upon turning on water, there was a small leak at the p-trap, so there I go again. This time, I decided to go with the rubber type of connectors from Fernco, which come with a clamp on both ends, which securely seals to the ABS tubing. Wow, it came together nicely, and the wife is happy. She's happy, I'm glad. So, if you're looking for that unusual, or, perfect way to do something, give the people at Nelson's Ace Hardware an opportunity. You'll be glad you did.

I have dropped my lawnmower off for repair over 9 months ago and it’s still not fixed. They called and said it needs a new spark plug and the carb cleaned out. Which were changed out prior to dropping it off to them (brand new). This place has no idea what they are talking about. Extremely long wait time and trying to fix something that’s not broken. Zero stars if that was an option. Rude customer service from the front desk employee at the equipment center.* update * mike Nelson called me and told me something different from what the front desk guy told me from the equipment center. Mike made everything right. Equipment employee needs to be let go for lying and up charging me for services not needed.

They are normally very nice and cordial here. I'm hopeful this was just a fluke. However, the new fridge freezer that was sold had a good sized dent in it. In addition, the freezer didn't work properly. Unfortunately, the dent issue has yet to be resolved. Ample time and communication was given but it hasn't been dealt with. I suppose I would be weary when purchasing any bigger ticket items here. Such as; refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, barbeques, etc. I am a bit disappointed by the experience in attempting an elderly family member in getting this resolved.Edit: In response to Ace Comment.They should be aware as they said they would return their call regarding the issue. But never did. This was a few months ago. Unfortunately had to change this to a one star as the experience has gotten even worse. Avoid this place at all costs

I was very surprised with their service the last time I went in looking for a part for my swamp cooler. IT WAS 100% THE BEST PUBLIC SERVICE IVE HAD IN A WHILE!!I was greeted at the door by a polite, nice, and helpful employee. She directed me to the isle needed and radioed for assistance (as her job is to stay by the door and greet people). I waited for 15-30 SECONDS before a nother employee came to help. We had some issues finding a part, so another employee (who was stocking near by) heard our conversation and jumped in to help and make sure I found what I needed. On top of all that amazing service, I did NOT have to wait ages in a line, and was told I could return the part at the reedley store so I didnt have to commute (for a return) even though I bought it at the selma store. GREAT JOB ACE HARDWARE OF SELMA! VERY SATISFIED WITH MY SERVICE!!!

Love this place, they have things you can't get anywhere else. Hard to find sprinkler and plumbing parts as well as tools and even appliances. I feel like there should be two old guys sitting outside playing checkers and drinking sassparilla. Ace is the place!

This Ace hardware is got everything you need and then some a lot better than some hardware stores that I've seen around here they can even do you a key and they can even put the chip in the key to have you car going for your locks and doors reasonable price for a chip key very nice people in there clerks are excellent got to love it

I prefer coming to this store than the big box stores. They greet you at the door, take you straight to what you're looking for and also make suggestions that are even better than what I had in mind. I've been coming here for years and will continue as long as I can!
