Honestly, I don't think I've ever gone to the meat counter at this Safeway and been noticed without first having to stand there for 5 minutes. There could be butchers cutting up meat within view and staff doing inventory around the meat section and no one will bother looking up. It happens every single time without fail. It's like they know if they don't acknowledge someone standing there then they know they'll just walk away. And that's if there's anyone there. There's no bell or anything to call someone from the back.To the manager of this store, hire a couple of secret shoppers and have them time how long it takes for someone to acknowledge them at the meat counter and you'll see what I mean.

I've been shopping here my whole life and like every store it's had its upside and downs, but now I think you all have a great crew going! The staff at the checkouts are always so nice, I dropped a bottle of rice seasoning the other night and before I could even process it Nick was cleaning it up for me and making sure I was OK! He was very nice and very efficient. I've chatted with alot of the employees throughout my life and the long time workers are just so kind. Michael is particularly sweet, he was off the clock the other day and still helped me carry my bags out to my car! 10/10 for all the employees!!!!

It's a good store for Sebastopol. Better than the alternative markets in this immediate area. The bakery looked better than the goods we could buy at the Safeway bakery near our home. This Sebastopol store is looking very good. I remember the same store here in the 1970's. They've kept it nice.

Everyone of your employees showed me kindness and consideration today 10-27-23. It was a remarkable fact, every single one I spoke to or heard conversing with customers was all about kind customer service. Special mention to the young white man making sandwiches in the Delhi on Thursday around noon. Also the middle aged white guy with dark hair bagging groceries was very nice and pleasant. The young thin blond haired guy was kind and helpful to me. Well done all of you. I don’t get that kind of customer focused kindness in my strawberry and mill valley Safeways, except for Mary in flowers and Kim in pricing. And Nicole and Tuyet at checkout!

Got followed to my car and told I didn't pay when my receipt was in my hand. Person was incredibly rude when I told them I did not steal I paid for my items. I felt very unsafe being followed to my car and harassed

It must've been my Lucky Day to have my shopping cart lock up 3 cars away from my truck in the Safeway parking lot.This is the second time this has happened...Plus the nearby homeless folks got into a loud fight .I don't like coming here.

It seems like Safeway is the same wherever you go except for those little differences from town to town. The best part of any Safeway? The back wall of all the discounts-that really has to be my favorite. And the fact that after every holiday the paper plates and napkins from that holiday are on sale 50% off. Word

Very nice employees considering the amount of outright theft they must be dealing with. My only real complaints are they don't keep "good" dog food AND just as bad they seem to have stopped carrying the large bag (or any bag ?) of BLACK LICORICE in the candy aisle. That red stuff is NOT licorice

I purchased fried chicken and was awful, SALTY, DRY and had though away in the trash. The deviled egg potato salad was so dry and seafood salad had no seasoning at all. So careful of your deli purchase and I NEVER shop at that Safeway, again

I bought 4, $5 fried chicken in Sebastopol. They packed it into 3 boxes. 1 of the boxes, they put a second $5 price tag, so I paid for 4 boxes at the register. When I got home, I sorted and counted the pieces of chicken. There should have been a total of 32 pieces. There was only 26, I was shorted 6 pieces, almost 1 whole box!

Visited here with my grandchild and elderly disabled client. Had to walk into the middle of the road with both of them, around the 30+ teenagers just to get TO the doors. Then there were what seemed like another 80+ (exaggerated maybe but could not see what I was looking for through the multitudes of kids) inside, in the aisles, blocking corners and walkways and chatting obliviously in several cases. While they were fairly respectful, it was very off putting to have to stop every 3 steps to avoid running over someone. We then went to the deli, where we waited in line to get a snack and was ignored in favor of people who had just stepped up to the counter to examine the cases.We are loyal safeway consumers, but this experience was nothing nice, and I can't help but wonder why the manager allows that. There's also no way to contact the store directly other than a phone number (tried calling and got no answer). In future we will remember to check the time and avoid this store when necessary.

The first thing to note is that they are really expensive and getting more so all the time like every other grocery store. Food is pretty steady and staff pretty nice. A little lacking in their professionalism at times. Lately I have noticed there are several night shift workers who are extremely nice and patient. Such a pleasure!

5 stars for the store & the employees, 3 for the corporation, so split the difference & you get 4 stars. The J4U program needs more polishing & the self-checkouts need an option to scan in bags as you use them, rather than tripping the scales and being forced to bag afterwards; very inefficient, the remedy is simple!

Clean shopping experience staff was really friendly and helpful we got accosted by a Kevin who was throwing a fit and the meat department because the cuts of meat he wanted were already sold and we looked at him and he started yelling at us which is quite entertaining so I had to start that it was a little bit of an excitement and the manager came over and talked to us we chuckled and it was a good experience overall very friendly great place recommended

Whenever they shut down self check, they seem to never have enough cashier's to keep the lines down. One cashier! I was 8th in line and 3 people behind me, as I reached the cashier they line hasn't gone down but continued 1/2 way down the aisle! Spent 25 minutes just to ring up one item. RIDICULOUS

Store has spacious layout.Produçe area very spacious & well stocked w/ organic & regular produce. Flower clerk was especially helpful today explaining the pricing and providing ferns for my flowers. The greens are for sale. Store is clean and well lit.

I love our Safeway. The manger specials get me through the month. All though they hardly ever have enough checkers, the checkers are always fast friendly and efficient. I love the well stocked deli and fresh hot soups. The employees of Safeway are so wonderful that it really makes up for the lack of checkers available.

I just got home from the store and was putting things away when I looked at the pull dates on the "fresh" pasta I had just purchased. One had a pull date of June 13 (yesterday) and the other had a pull date of June 15 (tomorrow). Not too fresh I would say. This store has really gone down hill from when I started shopping there in 1970!

I have to say that this store is amazing. After all of the panic driven shoppers clearing off the shelves, each and every one of those employees are rock stars! They were so friendly and helpful and very positive attitudes even though they have been pulling long hours to keep their shelves stocked. Awesome job!!

Safeway usually has great selection and better prices than other grocery stores in Sebastopol, and the only 24 hr full selection grocery store left in the county (or at least for 2 citys in every direction)

The first five times I shopped at this store I was disgusted by the mold growing all over where the butter and eggs are contained, it took me four more visits over a two months time frame, and much complaining before I finally think they may have cleaned it up...smh

I use to love to shop here until I had a argument with one of the cashiers that works the self check. I have reported it twice and nothing has been done. I like the self check because I'm disabled and like to bag my groceries to make it easy when I get home. I don't care if she likes me or not but when they tell you that you can't go to self check we have a problem. She refused to give me a monopoly ticket last time told me to get away from her. WOW! Get over it!!
