Proud repeat customer :) As someone who mostly consumes non-animal product food and beverages, I appreciate their vegan, vegetarian, and alternative milk options. Their vegetarian Reuben is amazing (the sauce is so good!). The mushroom melt is also great for a little lighter/earthier tasting option. Oat milk latte was great too. Overall intimate, clean and cute modern vibe. Definitely recommend.

Awesome local coffee shop. I had a hand pour with perfect extraction from Uganda, and wife had an Arnold Palmer which is actually on their menu! The Turmeric latte looked amazing, definitely on my list for next time. Support local!

Great place in the areas to get some coffee. Espresso is bomb. Great staff. Cool spot easy to find. Haven’t tried all their stuff which is why the 4 stars. But def need to check out. Sadly covid makes it hard to truly enjoy the experience and have a nice time. But this will pass.

The vegan breakfast sandwich absolutely slaps. The bread really tastes home made, and it's hearty. And it wasn't the only vegan thing on the menu! They also have a mushroom sandwich (delicious, big) and a vegan pop tart (a little dry honestly, wouldn't get this again.) Coffee was yummy too. Baristas were friendly. Will definitely come back through next time I'm in town.

We made a drive up north kind of just to check this place out. I've been following them on Instagram for a while and they seemed like a coffee shop with a focus on good roasts and community. This cafe was beyond charming. The drinks were great. They had a ton of vegan options for snacks and food as well. It was really hopping on a Saturday morning and seemed like a hub of the area. If it weren't so out of the way for us, we'd be regulars! In fact, I think we need to figure out another reason to go that way soon... Retrograde is fantastic.

Just got the Sumatra Medium Roast (Pour Over) and it's perfect!! Brewed in front of you. The Kombucha is also bomb and the staff is super awesome and friendly.Vegan options for sandwiches and breakfasts available.Highly recommended!!

Retrograde is my favorite spot to relax and people watch in Sebastopol. The art is beautiful. I love that the flowers are from a local nursery. On top of it all the coffee is perfect.If you're looking for an informal spot to do a meet and greet or a quick business coffee date, you'll like Retrograde. The community shows up and it's a great way to experience the Sebastopol vibe.

I discovered this coffee shop about 2 months ago. This place is phenomenal! As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome from staff and guided to the service area. The mocha I ordered was impeccable. The layout of the shop is unique. I look forward to recommending this coffee shop to family and friends, and enjoying the NEW space to come. I had to wait for a while for my latte even though there was no line and 5 people working... otherwise I would have given them 5 stars. Creme was perfectly balanced, coffee roasters know what they are doing, milk was steamed perfectly and bonus points for the latte art. If you have an EV, there's a parking lot on high Street with a charger. Cheers

Fun cafe, great service. But it can get really loud when if half the patrons are working/studying. So bring noise canceling headphones. When it comes to drink and food options they really are ABOVE the competition with quality and variety.Lots of non caffeine drink options and for food they have vegan food options 😋

One of my favorite roasters! Have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Their coffee is good, rich, full of flavor and not too expensive for a bag of beans. The service is always great. They have expanded which is good for them. They make their own syrups which is really appreciate. if you want drip, this is your place…if you want a fun coffee beverage this might be your place too. They have a great selection of pastries as well and that includes gluten free items. they sell mama mels bagels and that just makes me happy. This is a must try if you enjoy a good cup of coffee and chill atmosphere.

Ordered the espresso and it was slightly acidic but it was definitely good. Also, tiger stripes! It was a well made shot. The espresso cup was cute, the place had great vibe! Highly recommend the place!

Only had the drip coffee. Was ok. No great notes that you look for in a small roaster. Chocolate croissant was tasty. Needs some better seating imo. Very pragmatic in design so lacks warmth.
