Pinot noir specialists with a fantastic team and a very storied history. Look out for the Emerald Ridge and Redwood Ridge Pinot Noirs, but the ultimate sleeper is the Zinfandel...a very pinot-lover's zinfandel. Try it to believe. Would highly recommend!

Had an amazing Library Tasting of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel all beautiful wines. My favorite was a 2016 Pinot Noir Angel Camp Vineyard from Anderson Valley. Host was terrific, informative and personable. It was my first tasting alone and the entire staff was engaging and made me feel great. It was like sitting in someone’s living room having great conversations and wine.

Greeted by our hostess with "is your dog people friendly? Because we can't have him barking or whining and disturbing other guests". Not the best way to start out and it went downhill from there. This was my second visit. I brought my dog both times. No issues the first time. Friendly host and I enjoyed the wine during that visit which is why I decided to bring friends from out of town. We arrived separately to the patio and when my dog saw them, he squealed with excitement so we moved back to the parking area to continue our greeting. That was the only noise my dog made the entire time we were there. But the hostess felt it warranted an admonishment before even saying hello. Then she proceeded to provide us with long drawn out details of her life at every pour making it difficult for us to enjoy any conversation, much less the wines. I wish we had just walked out immediately after her "greeting".We visited many more wineries over the weekend. All good service and exceptionally dog friendly. I wouldn't visit this one again.

Great wines, knowledgeable server and so friendly. I loved the ambiance too. The vibe is not stuffy like in other vineyards, it still very elegant and comfortable. Their chardonnay is amazing 👏 😍

The staff was able to accommodate a last minute party size change pretty easily. We did the wine and cheese pairing, and it is very hard to overstate how excellent the wines and cheeses were. It was everything I imagined a wine and cheese tasting experience could be. The space (both outdoor seating and the tasting room inside) is beautiful, too.Special shout out to Barbara who did a wonderful job guiding our group through the wine and cheese pairing!

Lynn is fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and proactive. Tasting room has delicious cheeses and some of the best wines in the region. The Chardonnay is an unexpected treat and the Deviation red blend is a treasure if you can get one!

We had our first genuine wine tasting here and we are hooked. Jason did an incredible job helping us understand how to taste and enjoy wine and we sampled some really amazing bottles. Friendly vibe and nicely appointed tasting room but the bottomline is the wines were incredible, definitely our favorite out of 8 Sonoma tastings. A true "top flight" experience.

This tasting room is worth a visit for pinot noir lovers! We met Dan, the genius winemaker, and he was so nice. The staff here was also really great and knowledgable about the wine and where the grapes are grown. We will be back! The Angel Camp pinot was a favorite!

I was in town for a local cycling event. Came in a day early to do some wine tasting. I wanted to learn more about DG's stellar chardonnays. Jason re-organized my tasting flight to focus just on chardonnays. He showcased 2 different 2019s, to highlight the differences of the vineyards. He then went back and pulled out the same 2 vineyards for 10 years prior to highlight differences of the vintage and aging. This was a fantastic 2x2 design of experiments with all 4 glasses there are the same time.

Great winery for Pinot Noir, we did a cheese and wine tasting with Brad. He was very knowledgeable about the wines and the paired cheeses. The tasting room is very dog friendly. It was a very nice time.

You will find some of the best wines of Northern California here. Their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are made in the French way, delicate and harmonious. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, one of my fav spot of the entire Wine County

Great wines and a fun knowledgeable staff. They specialize in Pinot Noirs, but they also have whites and usually a Zin. They're ALL FANTASTIC! It's a regular stop on our circuit of the Russian River Valley and we are wine club members. We recommend both their tasting room and their wines!

Dutton Goldfield is right beside Red Car, and I wound up preferring Red Car. The first impression I had of Dutton-Goldfield was a previous group's empty glasses on a table — which stayed for our whole visit. There is MASSIVE room for groups both inside and outside the tasting room, and the outside room has a nice fountain. Most of the wine, however, was meh. There were two very nice whites: a dry Gewürztraminer (not sweet!) and a Rued Chardonnay that was completely oaked, but not buttery; it was very nice The service was good but somewhat awkward. The price points on the bottles were appropriate to slightly over-priced, particularly the pinots.
